We would recommend this community to others

I would tell others that the layout of the "neighborhoods" is an ideal arrangement for memory care residents. They have groups of about 20 residents that have common spaces. It facilitates intimacy, good staff control and observation, and allows a socialization that I think does not exist in other apartment like facilities. They have spaces that allow 2 residents to be together in a same room, so for a husband and wife it is like a mini apartment. From a health care standpoint they have excellent nursing and staff care who are very engaged in the residents and their well being.

My ratings are prior to the pandemic. We selected the community because of the cost. We were pleasantly surprise with all that came with it. The community is wonderful and we have recommended them to others for their loved ones.

Tour was very helpful, answered the questions I had. Good protections for Covid Virus.

This community has been wonderful. My loved one is in the memory care unit there. They watch her carefully in this community. My loved one tries to escape, and they are very good with her. They recognize my loved one's signs and are great with her. Prior to COVID, The Rawlin had daily activities.

My wife stayed here for 9 months. During that time, I marveled at the quality of care that she received. First, the facility itself: It is clean, well-lit, wide hallways, comfortable rooms, well-maintained, and the food is good. There are places in the building where we could go for privacy, play music on their many DVD players, and sometimes merely watch the passing parade of people and vehicles. The enclosed garden was a welcome oasis of calm in the warm months. Most important: the staff. They were caring, well-versed in handling the difficulties of those with memory issues, informative, welcoming, and going above and beyond. It was quite a relief knowing that she was in good hands. I would recommend Springs of Vernon Hills for a loved one of yours that is dealing with dementia.

All staff is friendly, attentive, good communication report with staff RE: patient care.

It's really nice to hear from other healthcare professionals. What a nice place and caring place at Pacifica. You've got a great population out there. I've heard it from nurses and doctors from the medical professionals who have had home visits with mom has been at Pacifica.

[Name removed] is great at what she does. She always has an answer to any question, if not, she gets back to you in a timely manner. She's approachable and always all smiles. I really enjoy working with her.

Pacifica has been improving by the day. I have seen changes made to the facility to better improve the environment for the residents everyday.

After visiting many facilities in the area, the Springs was by far our best option for a safe, loving, and engaging facility for our mom. The Springs is designed with memory care residents in mind and is very comfortable and home like. The wonderful staff is caring, friendly, and skilled. Management takes the necessary time and effort to understand each resident's unique needs, preferences, and personality. Planned activities are varied, appropriate , fun and available for residents who choose to participate. I have been very impressed with the safety measures the Springs has put into place during the Covid outbreak. Through it all I know they are doing everything they can to keep the residents safe and healthy.

I try to keep on top of things but its but hard since COVID. The communication is good and they send emails with updates but there has been some miscommunication in the front office. The caregivers are very good, they all seem love my mom. My mom likes the food. I chose this community because is was the closest to my house. I would recommend this community to other families.

When [name removed] called me, I knew I had found that in The Springs. [name removed] was going to love [name removed] like her own brother. I was not going to be able to go in, because of COVID, so I had to trust. [names removed] and the full staff at the Springs, have proven to be deserving of my Trust. Before [name removed] arrived, [name removed] asked how they could comfort [name removed]. I told her humor, kindness, and dance with him. [name removed] has a great sense of humor, and loves to dance. My husband [name removed] brought [name removed]to the door, and then had to back away. [name removed] came out the door dancing, and [name removed] laughed and walked up to her. They danced their way in. [name removed] and The Springs of Vernon Hills are very sincere in providing loving care at The Springs. I am thankful to them every day.

My Mom is going to love living in this community, it's beautiful. We're going to be so happy and so will Mom!

Staff at Pacifica has been doing an amazing job helping residents be safe during this Covid-19 pandemic.

I work with the Pacifica staff on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. They make my job so enjoyable and easy with their great communication and care of my hospice patients. I am happy to refer families here.

Very clean, I have witnessed not just the housekeeping but other staff members cleaning. The staff is always very friendly. They call me and keep me updated about everything. I toured three times when I was looking at places and they were great every time. My mom seems much happier at Waterhouse Ridge then she was at her previous community. My mom is getting her showers regularly which was not happening where she was before and this shows me she is really being well taken care of. My mom likes the activities, they were outside planting flowers last weekend when the weather was nice. I was only able to visit three time before it was closed to visitors and the staff has been great helping her to adjust.

The appearance looks like a 4 Seasons hotel. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. One staff member that was extremely important in getting my loved one from Temple Park Conn. to this facility was [name removed] she really went above and beyond her job description. If I may make a suggestion. Being a first-timer to having a person in Senior Living, I was surprised to find all of the things we were to supply. A list of items needed would be very helpful.
