This is our third residence our mother has lived in the past two years that has offered assistance, as her needs have changed. I was recommended by a neuro pschologist to bring my mother to the Springs of Vernon Hills. To say I am satisfied would be a major understatement! The staff at the Springs are the finest people I have ever been around in my life.I wouldnt know where to begin to describe the care and love my mother receives from each and every person. From the director, Tina Schachter, who has kept my mother company on sleepless nighs, ( what shes doing there at night I have no clue, but she was there,) to her husband David, who comes on weekends, to the social director Christina, who is probably the most patient person I have ever been around, to the billing/ front desk person, Shey( not sure of her spelling), to all the incredible aides who go above and beyond to make my mother and all the other residents comfortable. and well groomed, and meticulously cared for. The staff including Tina, even paint my mothers nails as well as the other residents. I could go on and on but my point is made. There is no other place like this.

The staff at this facility has the best interest in mind for each resident. They have information to connect with them. The activities director plans a full schedule each day plus outings for those who can ride in the van. The facility is clean and has a very sterile laundry procedure. There are several sitting areas plus a fabulous courtyard for families to visit with their loved one. The facility has wide hallways and all on one floor which is hard to find in the area. It is worth looking at. You will have peace of mind leaving your loved one.

i want to give you my review with this place. I put my Dad with Nazareth Memory Care last month and i can say the staff are great even the care they giving the best. And the staff will giving me update about my dad and even my dad told me that he loving to stay in that place. Activities wise the staff doing a lot of it but i know it will be hard for them because not all will participate and i know with dementia they always wandering. The Woodlake is great. I don't live there, my brother does. I haven't been there much since he moved in. He is content there. The staff and consideration and responsive to me when I call and he likes the food a lot. It's meets his relatively high standards in all respects. That's enough.

We had a fine tour at The Woodlake. Initially we thought they were a 5/5. After seeing another place, we thought they were still very good but more like 4.5/5. The memory care unit of the place we chose was just a little nicer and had more outdoor space.

Sonnet Hill looked like a great facility. It is brand new so when we took a tour there were very few residents and staff members. I think it seemed like a place that would be a better fit for younger, more independent individuals. It was a great place but just not the right fit for my loved one.

The Woodlake was one of our top runners. It has a very nice atmosphere and the residents and staff members that we spoke to were friendly. Out of all the places we looked at, this one had the best room. The only reason we did not choose this facility was because they did not provide diabetic care.

My Mom has been in assisted living for 3+ years. I have appreciated all those who have supported my Mom over the years. It wasn't until I moved my Mom to the Woodlake that I could really appreciate the true commitment to senior care. At the Woodlake there are professionals in every role. From Care , Concierge, the Chef and the Support Staff everyone supports the Resident! My Mom is thriving at the Woodlake and I am forever grateful!

If your loved one needs the level of care offered by a facility then this is the one for you. The staff is happy to talk to family members and give updates on how your family member is doing. The facility is welcoming and you don't get the feel that you are visiting someone in a nursing home. The hallways are wide and the ceilings are high which makes it just seem like a friendly place.

I've toured just about everything available in the Sacramento-Rocklin CA area. Under new management with Meridian Senior Living, Legacy Oaks stands alone with the homey environment I wanted for my father suffering from MCI. Very cordial staff, dedicated management team and clinical properly managed. My search is over. Thank God for Legacy Oaks! I can feel better about my fathers day to day life and managed health care needs.

We placed our Mom here in January after the fires . They were still in emotional recovery stage but were very informative and helpful to us. I agree that paperwork is not their strong suit but the work they do with their community members is wonderful. My mom went beyond reluctantly but within weeks she was happy and adjusting. Every staff member knows her name and is respectful and loving. It is a challenging clientele since everyone has memory issues. I feel that they do a wonderful job respecting all of them and allowing them to be as independent and involved as their disease allows them to be

My mother has been at The Springs for about a month and has adapted very well. She was in a situation where she was not getting a lot of mental stimulation, and this is a big improvement. Her physical and verbal functioning have also improved. The staff is professional, patient, and understanding. Having regular visits by a doctor specializing in older adults is a big plus. The setup with registered nurses handling medications and supervising, while other staffers direct activities and help with grooming and other issues seems to work well. Family members are welcome to visit anytime, and that makes the atmosphere very welcoming.

What a great facility! Mom was floundering at another place for almost a year but has become more focused, better able to move herself around in her wheelchair, and an active participant In van trips and activities. The food is great! We enjoy our lunches there, wonderful variety, great presentation, and mom eats so well there. The building is well designed and beautifully kept, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the patio is inviting and has adequate shade for summer days. The staff are welcoming, friendly, smiling and loving to the residents. We couldn't be happier! Mom is getting her correct medication, she has friends (even if she can't remember their names!), and we look forward to visiting her and playing games with them! Mom fell and broke her hip four months ago and that was pretty much IT for her living alone any more. We started searching on our own since the family all lives in Sacramento and wanted something close to Kaiser. After getting major sticker shock at other facilities we found Nazareth Park Place--and it was actually affordable and very nice-not fancy, but overall, excellent in many ways. The staff are super friendly and caring, seem to be well trained. The studio apartment Mom picked out is large, with a nice kitchenette that comes with a refrigerator and microwave. Mom wasn't too happy to move at first. But, after about a month, she realized she had friends to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner with, got to do fun things everyday, all her needs are taken care of too. The community is older, but in good shape, and seems like they are always sprucing things up. The food is good--fresh and well-balanced. I eat dinner with Mom every Saturday for $5.00 at Nazareth. She's OK now and doing much better.

My Dad is now a resident at Nazareth Park Place and the place itself is very nice and clean. My experience with the staff has been quite wonderful and I really like the fact that they keep me updated on him and send me pictures often. One thing that was concerning since my Dad is in the memory care unit is the amount of time he gets outdoors. The staff has informed me that they take them out at least twice a week but I am hoping for a bit more access for those in memory care. I understand there are some that are a wander risk but the idea is nice. What matters the most is that Dad is happy there and he is definitely in good hands!

We are considering a transfer from another community. I hope what I’m being told and what I’m seeing are hopeful for a good stay. Ratios of help to resident are lower, one concern is the shared bathroom. I’ll write again to let you know how our transition went with management and care.

They seemed to have a lot of activities planned. My dad didn't really participate and again I didn't really get to see anything. The price is a 5 given what's included in the price- they even included incontinence supplies for us. Being our first experience with respite care, I thought it was expensive, but they have competitive rates compared to the others I visited and theirs was the best deal in the end. I was a little unhappy about these things. I sent over eye drops with his medications. They were on his medication list from his doctor. The box came back unopened so I don't think they gave it to him. I don't think their internal communication is the best. I gave my both my brothers contact numbers and mine as the last since I was going overseas. They had a medical emergency for choking on some food and they only tried calling me. The staff did not have my brothers' numbers. Also, they were not prepared when I came to pick him up even though I had given a date and time. I had to wait for the staff and also they didn't have his medication ready to send home. He came back with a full laundry hamper. Overall, it was a good stay. I would consider them again if we need respite care in the future. Their security on the memory care floor is great - you cannot access the elevator to go up or down because there is a locked door (in addition to the elevator doors) that you can only open with a code. I've never seen this before and was impressed by it.

It was a very nice place, just too expensive for my dads budget and they won’t administer insulin which my dad would need. The memory care side smelled like pee.
