Oaks Senior Living

For us the staff to resident ratio is really good and we do like the rooms. The staff seem to be very helpful and keep up with the residents, we appreciate that they make sure our loved ones cell phone ringer is on high so she knows when we are calling to check in on her. The meal content is sometimes questionable - the serve a lot of breads and pastas and for those who have dietary restrictions we think they would benefit by offering up a more nutritious variety of meals.

The staff are very friendly here. The communication and follow through on requests from maintenance could be improved. The residents that participate in the activities are friendly to us. Breakfast is good, and lunch is on the skinny side. The community doesn't provide dinner. The quality of the food could be improved, along with portion sizes and the variety of food offered. The apartments in independent living have a full kitchen in them. I believe the community should give the residents a choice of meals they would like or if they want the meal plan at all.

One of the big things that stood out to us is the staff and how they interact with the residents. The meals are very good there - the residents are fed well and based on our experience so far with Oaks at Tucker we would recommend them to other families.

This community was new and still a lot of build up so it was hard to judge this community. This community was also bigger and did not want my loved one to have to walk as much. This was a very good tour and very good community. I did not have any negative feeling there was just another community that seemed to click better for us.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was nice, but the Oaks at Tucker had the same layout and amenities as another community we were looking into but the Oaks at Tucker was asking for a much higher rate. That is why we chose not to move our loved one here.

I had a good feeling about this community. For me it just came down to the price and there was just another community that worked out better for my loved ones budget.

The facility was very nice but the location was too far for family.

We thought Oaks at Towne Lake was really nice. The people there very friendly. What I didn’t like was the actual room layout The rooms were just dated and really small, with a strange half wall.

We chose Morningside of Dalton because of the location as well as the the value for the money. I also had recommendations from people I knew who had their loved ones here. She has a smaller room, but it is sufficient for what she needs. The staff all seem to be very friendly and helpful. I do like that it is a smaller facility, only about 40 residents so it wont get overcrowded. She seems to be happy with the food. I would recommend to others looking

The director has been very friendly to our family, very accessible and always answer all of our questions. Our loved is enjoying the meals and dining service, and the activities are starting to get back to normal.

It is a beautiful community and really, really nice. The residents were relaxed during our tour and they had it decorated beautifully for Christmas. The staff were good at allowing us to move in during a specific time. They were also able to give us time to move my loved one's items out after my loved one's passing. There is plenty of parking for visitors. The have a focus on memory care, and they call it Horizon. You can go into hospice in the community, so your loved one doesn't have to move again.

We toured this community and the tour was very good. The staff was very friendly and shared a lot of great information. The tour was well done and They answered all our questions also.

Our family was able to do a couple separate tours with the Northlake and in the beginning they were not the most favorable because they were under construction so we went to another facility. However, our loved one will be moving in her shortly and it just has a much warmer and welcoming atmosphere. We realized its not the facility that makes the experience it is the people that are there who make the experience.

We did a virtual tour with Camellia Place which is the only reason I gave it a 4, since we could not go inside. I felt that it was not going to be the right fit for my mom, it was more of a community type environment rather than apartments.

I would recommend the community to others. The friendliness of the staff is something that stands out to me. The community feels like a home away from home. They have amenities of a hotel, but doesn't feel like one. My loved one isn't happy with the food. The community does have a set menu and the residents get to select their meals. They are making nutritious meals as well. I would like to see more comfort food mixed into the menu. I'm happy to have my daddy there. It is close by. The care meets my expectations. The biggest grievance I have is they have raised the rent three times in fourteen months. They are going to price him out of the community. Throughout the pandemic they had zero cases of the virus in the residents. They are excellent at keeping the residents safe.

[name removed] was very nice and has agreed to meet me outside and let us look through the windows at the places they have available. Again unless we can make his finances work it is more than he can pay per month.
