5s across the board. I would highly recommend the facility to friends and family. I would happily go there if the need arises- or my girls might just decide to send me there They helped me navigate Mom's needs as they changed, were great non-judgmental listeners and offered advice when asked. They treated mom with respect. Even mom, who had strong opinions about people in general, often told me how wonderful the staff was. My daughter visited other local facilities for me (I was in NY with mom) and she recommended Ivy Park for its warm, homey environment. Provided all levels of care-from independent to fully dependent (feeding, toileting, etc) with kindness and respect. Good communication with family. Recommended additional services (OT, PT, prophylactic medication) and initiated process Referred to hospice upon request Encourage socialization for those hesitant to join- field trips, movies, game's & puzzles

The meals and dining is getting better and it is a very nice place to live but it is expensive. Based on the experience I have had so far, I would recommend this community to other families

We moved my mom in a month ago and she has been doing wonderful ever since. She's had so many issues at home by herself that we worried it would be hard for her to make the change into assisted living but the team at Ivy Park has been so helpful.

Staff is very involved and has her best interests always in mind. Sachi in at level zero meaning an independent renter yet they will notice she has missed dinner and will check on her. Beautiful back yard just remodeled. Lobby is very secure with a sign in and name sticker to identify non residents. Food is actually excellent but [name removed] is Japanese and some of her desires aren't really possible from Ivy Park's cafeteria's perspective. It's really been a huge boost in [name removed]s quality of living

Our 98 year old mother moved into Ivy Park this past spring. She really enjoyed the lovely environment; her apartment, the facility and its’ grounds. The staff members were all warm, kind, caring, patient and respectful. Our mother’s condition did fail after a few months due to her underlying medical conditions. Of course, we would have wanted her to have had a lot more time there; it wasn’t meant to be. However, with the help from hospice and the wonderful care from the facility’s care managers and medication technicians, we were able to keep our mother in her apartment until she passed.

Beautiful facility that's well kept, very friendly staff, with great communication to families. No nickel and diming over "point system" for care, instead everyone pays a bit more for rent and less for variable care levels. I like that it's right next door to my father's church so he can go every Sunday. And that they have consistent, reliable transportation for wheelchair bound residents. They also have a nice, well stocked cafe for residents and families to come get free coffee and snacks. And they have a lot of activities for residents to engage in daily, if they want.

I like that the staff greet us by name and give us a quick update on Mom when we walk in. They are quick to point out things to keep track of and to mention to her doctor. The grounds are beautiful and well kept up. Mom loves the gardens. We had a quarterly meeting on her care. They could have raised our cost, but instead said she needs less help now than when she arrived so they are lowering the care cost. Who does that?!

We chose Ivy Park at San Marino because of the location, the cleanliness of the facility and the sincerity of the staff. They were willing to give an extra hand anywhere needed and comforted my uncle.

I wish there was more exercise. I recommend it all the time. They have the least staff turnover any place I've ever seen.

The value for cost gets a 4 because I don't really have enough comparisons. My mom was in a private home care for 6 weeks, that's been it. We started at a great price in [date removed] when my mom first moved in. I can imagine that the lack of consistency in one place has done a number on her brain and the rate of decline. I do know my mom needs more help, but that feels like a big jump. With that said, they are a great facility and the nurses/med techs etc really treat my mom well.

We love the classic, intimate 2 story design, and semi-hidden location. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend Ivy Park at San Juan to other families.

I was lucky enough to just move my aunt who has Alzheimer’s in to [location removed]just recently, and I received so much compassionate assistance and guidance from [name removed] who was my first contact there, and also a TON of support from [name removed] who runs the memory care part of their facility. Her adjustment period went unbelievably smooth, because the staff at [location removed] put time into asking me who she is, what she enjoys, what career did she have, what mattered most to her in the full life she used to have, etc. Absolutely everyone on staff at this facility is AMAZING! The thoughtfulness, patience, and kindness was just beyond. The memory care program and activities directors really put a lot of thought into enhancing the lives of all the residents, and their families as well. I was very concerned about my aunt’s transition into Ivy Park and the new program because, it was due to an emergency situation. Her beloved husband had just passed. She had been brought to the ER, and then moved to a home that she escaped from and was lost, and also had been injured. She was under extreme duress, and had to be moved immediately. I myself was quite emotional and worried. We were both treated like family here at Ivy Park, and shockingly after just one week of being moved in she was physically better, more active, and mentally able to process and communicate more than I’ve seen in a very long time. I believe this is b/c it is so necessary for our loved ones to feel connection, compassion, socialization and respect. That’s what Ivy Park prioritizes. I will forever be indebted to these beautiful people that work very hard to make sure life is worth living and enjoying. There’s laughter, music, good food, games, outings, and joy here. I honestly cannot say one bad thing about Ivy Park. The actual facility is like a 5 star hotel too. May you be lucky enough to find a place like this for the one you love. I really want to thank [name removed] from A Place for mom, who connected me to [name removed], for my tour. It was the beginning of a new life for my aunt, one that really mattered.

Let's see, where should I start? I currently live in San Antonio, Texas, I share this with you because I was there from one Thursday to the following Wednesday. Ivy Park was and has been a guiding light for me, when I arrived in Livermore, California to transition my brother to a Memory Care Facility, Ivy Park was with me from beginning to the end of the process. I had no idea of what to expect, what questions to ask etc... Let me share this with everyone and anyone who is seeking a place for their loved one Ivy Park at Pleasanton is highly recommended.[name removed] and all the Staff here went above and beyond to assist me in my endeavor. They scheduled the nurse to assess my brother on Monday I had the answer by Tuesday and by Wednesday my brother was in his Private Apartment. Ivy Park at Pleasanton is not only a gorgeous place for my brother but for me as well, their loving and kind support is beyond reproach! Especially [name removed], Executive Director. Thank you

I feel confident that my family member is well taken care of. Staff has positive attitude. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Ivy park at Pleasanton to other families.

Their garden area for Memory Care is very nice. The aides are wonderful and in my opinion underpaid for the work they do. My sister is very happy there and a high functioning Alzheimer's patient who requires no assistance whatsoever.

They are all 5s this place is the best fit for our mom. The staff treats all residents like their own family and knows everyone's name even the family members that come in. Treats the residents with respect and dignity. Everyone is always happy. They work really hard to make it easy for the residents to live an a wonderful environment
