My husband seems happy with this community. The staff encourage him to participate in the daily activities. The food is just fine and they keep the community clean. This is a nice comfortable place for him and I would recommend it.

The majority of the staff are lovely. The marketing director is fabulous. Mom loves the food. The community is clean and beautiful. They offer daily activities and the staff do encourage her to participate. They previously changed the indoor garden from a grassy area to rock and wood chips. I would recommend this community.

The staff did an excellent job at taking there time to show all of what there community had to offer and explaining with patience all of the details and prices they had available. I had noticed during my visit that all of the residents seemed happy and joyful and involved in different activities throughout the complex.

My mother's experience was wonderful. Mom could not stop talking about her stay. Mom loved the food (which is rare). Mom thought the meal choices were incredible. Mom was very impressed how friendly the residents and staff were to her. Rest assured if mom needs another short term stay you will be hearing from us. Many thanks to all of you for taking such good care of my mother.

A good variety of activities for the residents. A previous facility offered mostly shopping as an activity, which my sister who's a resident at Sunrise absolutely hates. She loves the special off-site excursions like the one to Half Moon Bay that she recently went on.

Make sure you understand what care level you are going to be getting. There's a level of unresponsiveness with some of their departments. I think the community is very, very cool. I love it! The responsiveness is the biggest concern.

A family should certainly consider this community for their loved one if they are thinking in terms of the Bay Area choices. We had very few days to plan between my Mom's anticipated exit from skilled nursing and a needed move to assisted living. The staff at Casa Sandoval really helped make it happen on time and as smooth as possible. My Mom is happy there and getting her medications on time which is a huge relief. The activities and food portions are appropriate for the residents.
