We picked this community because, of the closeness to my home, smaller facility, clean and friendly staff, and they had a large one bedroom available. They could improve on, the food, and add more activities and outings.

I just LOVE the staff - they are fantastic. They're friendly and have great follow-through. They provide great care. The facility was clean overall. The only negative thing I have to say is the kitchen area was a little gross - the kitchen and dining area were not appealing. But otherwise, everything was great in the memory care unit.

People are very friendly, but it sometimes takes awhile to get help when needed - for example, using the bathroom. Communication is not always great. The staff are caring, but I think that they probably need more help. One person is a little rough sometimes handling the residents.

It is a quality facility and the staff provide good care for the residents. We have had a few issues with the sales pitch promising services that in reality on the day to day cannot be achieved. On the whole, it's a good place.

Overall very beautiful room and view. Very helpful staff and friendly. Private nursing staff were excellent. The food was awful. My mom didn't find much that she liked in the menu. It was too big.

The only saving grace about this place is the activities director! She is the nicest, sweetest person! She helps me all the time! She deserves a raise! She doesn’t hold a grudge like the other young girls do! One time, when the other girls froze me out of the dining hall, I left to go back to my room without any dinner. She came running after me. I burst into tears and told her what happened. She talked me into going back. She said she would get my food! She is the best! She is the only good one! She deserves a raise!

Bonaventure of Thornton was the only community that was able to accept our loved one at their current health state, the location was very convenient for our family and even though our loved one did not get a chance to participate in the activities from what we saw the activities were great. We do have a complaint with the billing - we had to pay extra once our loved one passed and we have received additional bills and we have had phone conversation and face to face conversations and we still can't get the issue resolved.

They could work on getting more staff - because they are a little understaffed that is why we are having some issues with the care services

What stood out most to us about this facility is it's new, pleasant, and they accept dogs. They are very nice here. They have activities and provide housekeeping. It looks and smells clean. I have recommended it to others.

The food seems to vary on quantity and quality. Activities seem to be geared towards the female residents more than male residents. They could do better on the meals considering the monthly rate they charge.

We picked this community because, the build and design was as an assisited living facility and not like a former hotel. Also, the the price was a little over budget, but we could still manage it.

I had a great tour experience with Oakmont of Folsom - I really had no problems at all and liked what I saw. For us it was just the location was further, so we went with another Oakmont facility. This location seemed great as well though!

Our family is doing really well here. I'm really happy with how our loved one has adjusted and is fitting in to the community. The staff seem to know what's going on with him, and they let me know promptly when there's an issue. We did have an issue in regards to medication hat took a while to sort out, which I wasn't pleased with. But aside from that, everything else else has been fine. A big selling point for us was the fact that they have fall protection software, so we feel he is safer here than at other communities without that technology.

It was very clean. They are very friendly. There was issues with missed days, of my loved ones medication, but it's getting better. My loved one likes, to play bingo, likes the entertainment and happy hour. We picked this community because, it seemed to be a nice place, it was clean and the people were friendly. It's a very nice place. My loved one feels at home, and has made new friends. I would recommend this place. Overall, it has been a good experience.

We had a very positive tour experience with Sunrise of Walnut Creek.

The food is okay. They always have something going on with the activites. We picked this community because, they offered diebetic care and a full time nurse.

We chose this facility because they let mom bring her cat, which was very important to her. The hands on staff were great. There was a big turnover in administrative positions while mom was there. That often left a void in communication and oversight between hands on staff and administration and folks like myself. I often felt I had to stay on top of issues, because they were not being addressed in a timely manner.

It has been a good experience. We had some miscommunication in the beginning regarding the base price, but we've been able to work that out with them. They have given us a full explanation, and I'm happy with the outcome. My friend is very happy there and is thriving. She says some meals are good and some are excellent. They have a variety of activities - things like Bingo, games, movies - and they do a good job trying to get her going and keep her involved.

They made an effort, to make my loved one feel apart of a family. They showed kindness and patience. Overall, my loved one feels like they are at home. We chose this community because it is a close location, for family to visit my loved one.

Just like at any care facility, you have to make pop-in visits to let them know you could come at any time of the day, and things need to always be taken care of for your loved ones. Our family visits often. The staff respond pretty well when we come to them with requests or concerns. We've had a good experience overall. The floor manager is awesome - she loves my mom. It has been hard to get my mom engaged in activities. Overall it's expensive, but I know my mom is in good hands, and that's what counts.
