We were very happy with Mom's care at Sunrise. We absolutely loved the staff, especially [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed]. Their commitment and love for my mother was fantastic. There were plenty of activities for mom to enjoy with other residents, but she also had a lovely private room for personal family time as well.

They are all very friendly. They are a little pricey but they are still very nice. We picked this community, because my loved one liked the community. It feels like the food takes longer to get, but the quality of the food is good. They are helpful and polite. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I would recommend it to other families.

We picked this community because they had a very good working relationship with hospice onsite. It's a very nice facility in terms of appearance and upgrading. They can improve on staffing. I would recommend to other families.

My mother has been a resident of Oakmont of Montecito for many years and a particular person has been there for us from day one. Whenever there has been an issue or concern, she made sure it was resolved quickly and efficiently, along with a follow-up!

The convenience of the dining services here have helped with my day to day living. The staff is very friendly and open to help out when needed. They are very present while still maintaining the personal way of living for us as residents.

Over all it’s a very clean place. The people who work here are helpful. They work hard and do their best . Always willing to help. The in house physical therapy is amazing. It doesn’t get any better than this place.

We chose Oakmont of Brookside because my brother in law at the time was in skilled nursing with Parkinson's dementia. We needed a place right away with good care and their memory care is excellent here. It is very expensive, in assisted living there is no cap on the expense so it is a point system. I would tell others that If your loved one declines, the cost goes way up.

I am free to come and go as I please, I do not take part in most activities as I only like to play bridge, but many residents like the activities provided. Food is not too diabetic friendly but it is improving

After my mom passed my dad needed help. He has many health issues and trouble seeing. It was so nice because he felt comfortable there from the start. The price was in budget and it was clean

They have a terrific team of caregivers, they have activities and encourage the residents to participate. For the independent residents it would be great to have more varied activities. My loved one likes the food about half the time.

They are professional and friendly. Communication is great. They are in transition with a new chef and compared to the last chef not very good. There are three meals a day and choices.

It's a beautiful place, the staff are great, mom is very happy there, mom is checked out weekly by Nurse Practioners. I would recommend family to visit loved ones often. There is a high staff turnover, so check on loved one to see if care is maintained between staff.

The only thing I feel that could improve is the quality and selection of food/meals. It felt more in line with high school cafeteria food than home cooking or restaurant style. After having eaten there with my mother several times, I felt there was not enough healthy options available.

Sunrise is warm and comfortable looking. It is very clean and looks new. The majority of the staff are very friendly. The community is in a convenient location. The staff communication with the family has been very good. The meals have either been overcooked, unappealing, or served cold. It would nice to see this improved. The soup offered is very good.

My loved one loves the food. We picked this community, because of the location and the value for the money. The communication about financials, could be better explained, and there is room for improvement. The staff is amazing. It's a newer community and they still have openings. I have recommend to three other people, so I would recommend to other families. My loved one has thrived there. I am happy that I, called A Place for Mom.

Our loved one constantly complains about the food service. It is luke warm, very slow service, very long waits. When it comes to room status there is no follow up on maintenance responses - stove top burners don't work. Refrigerator unit doors swing the wrong way. Need adjust door hinges to allow the doors to swing towards entrance door. We have repeatedly requested maintenance support but no joy

This community has the residents and their families provide all furniture for their room like, table, chairs, bed, recliner and etc. When you walk in, on the first floor is where the assisted living activities are held which seems to be very full of life and interactive, however when visiting the memory unit is more dual and lifeless. I think their could be more activities for the memory care unit throughout the month and I have had to hire a caregiver as well come in 2 days a week to make sure my loved one is getting the care they deserves. I don't think it is a bad place but it was the best place that we could find for our loved one. The staff could take more time to spend with my loved one and help them. The meals served is not enough food for the average person, a lot of the residents do not want to eat their food and I've seen residents without food. They've left residents in the living room during meal times and when reminded they go get them but it is very upsetting to see. I hope this issue is taken care of soon. I've seen clothing that is not owned by my loved ones end up in loved one's closet and I've seen my loved ones clothing on other residents. The care received is very uneven according to the staff, however when the more experienced staff is present the quality of staff goes up. I've seen amazing afternoon's when the experience caregivers interacting with the residents and calling them by their first names, and involving everyone on the unit and I've seen those residents brighten up because of those caregivers.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones now. We had a rocky start; however, we feel it has gotten better. There has been some staffing changes the community is working on. [name removed] is an amazing Activities Director. The community was able to listen to the family's concerns about promises made during the tour, and rectify these. There are three meals a day served to the residents. The community allows family to eat with our loved one on a patio and in the dining room. They have even allowed us to bring food into the community for our loved one to enjoy.

This community is safe and friendly place for my loved one. The staff communication with the family is great!

The lodge at glen coved was nice but rooms were smaller. My loved one wanted their big furniture.
