I enjoy it here with lots to do. Transportation they have available is a big plus for Dr appts etc and they go on many fun events. The driver had been here for many years and is super. Management here works for a better run facility and are very nice. The food I’m not crazy about however there are some really good ones . They and Corp want residents input.

Food. Attention to detail. My Mom could not use silverware, yet when I came by one day at lunch time she had a bowl of soup in front of her. Quality of care. My Mom fell the first two nights she was there. We had a meeting and decided it was because she had never been in a wheelchair. They promised not to use the wheelchair anymore. About a month later she began falling again. She fell three times and had to go to the hospital for stitches twice. Someone had started putting her back into the wheelchair.

Just the typical tell you what you want to hear to get you in then it's different once they are moved in. Few examples: My mom is very active in general. During orientation they mentioned that they have a great activities coordinator and there is plenty to do. Most of the time she sits in her room and watched TV and complains she is bored. Overall just like her last place they over promise and under deliver. They have a high turn over rate with staff (just like her last place) which makes it hard for the workers and my mom to get to know each other.

I moved into the Ivy Senior Living on [date removed]. I had just been released from the hospital and was a little skepticle about leaving my house of 50+ years. But after seeing the monthly costs decline (electricity, water, food, no maid services, no grass/maintenance), I became spoiled. Ivy provides 3 meals a day, weekly maid service, and vans which can scheduled for DRs, Dentists, shopping (for things you don’t really need but want). There are 30+ events that you can attend (or not, your choice). Field trips to several beaches , Waikiki , restaurants, and more . For some of us that realize that we may have only 15 or 20 years left, we can attend the chapel to attend a sermon or weekly Bible study. I attend as a resident and an occasional old deacon comment. The Ivy is not the home that I raised my children but is now my Ohana. My adult children and old church friends are all welcome to attend. There are still so many things and new friends to enjoy here at the Ivy.

What we like the most about Crescent Landing is that the staff are friendly. The activity director seems to be very vested in the guest and we would recommend this community to other families

They have nice, and friendly staff. We picked this community because it was more within our budget.

I like that the staff is very accessible and friendly. The food is generally pretty poor and luckily mom has a kitchen so she can do some of her own cooking. However, we still have to pay full price for all meals. Staff turnover is an issue but where is it no an issue these days.

Easy to move people in.. improve on the tiered pricing for additional services offered ,food quality compared to what is advertised , overall they are filling a need

The facility and apartments are very nice and updated. The administration are very friendly and respond quickly. So if a person is independent and requires little care, this is a good place. The activities on the calendar do not always happen. The breakdown is information getting to the aids that actually care for the residents and follow to make sure the care is actually happening. We left because my dad needed more care. We felt that he wasn't getting the care we were paying for.

The cost is much more reasonable but the care is basically the same. The major difference is that they use an outside service called Senior Doc. A PA or Dr visit instead of my having to take her to her appts. It's made a huge difference. Getting her & her walker in & out of my car is exhausting for both of us. They also take weekly vitals. The only drawback here is that they don't respond to maintenance requests. The drain in her bathroom sink isn't connected so it leaks all over the floor. She has to use the kitchen sink. We've requested they fix it several times.

We were lucky that we had a couple really amazing aides that really cared for my mom while some it just seemed like a job. The value for cost is hard, my parents are being taken care of, fed and safe but it's just expensive. If that makes sense. There are not a lot of choices when you just want them safe and cared for so you will pay what's needed. I think there's a period of adjustment when new management comes in and they are trying new things. It's more positive than negative so we are happy.

The Ivy is very spacious and the people working there is attentive to everyone and one thing is for certain because I have looked around at many places and compared facilities and 100 percent the Ivy stands above the rest in cost and care. The best thing that happened for my mom was relocating to the Ivy. Her physical Health and mental health has improved dramatically my family is very blessed to have the help we received for you for finding us the place and for the Ivy itself.

After we moved my Mom here just over a year ago, I can accurately contribute some pros and cons about the Ivy Wellington. Pros: reasonably priced rates and move in fees, great location, extremely friendly staff, decent food, updated furniture and decor, shuttle transportation within 10 miles, apartment cleaning and utilities included, nice amenities @salon, pool, game room, movie time, upscale, friendly, retired professionals to socialize with, a good percentage of people from similar heritage background to relate to. Cons: the bathroom vanities don't have any drawers and are too small, the closets are small and the doors are cheap, finding parking is a challenge 50% of the time, the hallway baseboards can be dusty, the elevator near her unit was out for an extended period of time, there's not enough activities on the weekends and Mom is lonely then, they don't offer a la carte assistance living @ medication management. All in all we've been happy with the choice and was a good option compared to the other senior living places in Orange County. There's always some updated maintenance being performed which shows that they care about their facility.

The staff was always loving and caring towards my mother. She trusted them and when she eventually needed help with dressing, eating, and personal hygiene they were very respectful and encouraging. They always made sure she was clean. Her room was always tidy. She had an apartment that had two areas - one for her bedroom, the other for her living room. We brought in a lot of furnishings to make it homey and cozy. It also made it possible for to have guests visit throughout her stay (we have a large family)! My biggest concern was with the care of her laundry. Her clothing became hard and over dried, and often wrinkled. Sometimes they were poorly folded or hung up. Sometimes another resident's clothing ended up in Mom's laundry basket or drawers. Sometimes she was missing items. We took great care in marking her clothing and belongings with her name and room number, but a few things went missing. Likewise, a few of someone else's things ended up in her room (i.e., a large pair of men's slippers marked "PAPA BEAR" were in her closet. LOL!). Overall it was a good place for her. As her Alzheimer's progressed the staff adjusted to her growing needs. She passed away this past [date removed]. We miss her, and the staff who so lovingly cared for her.

It was great until they raised the cost [removed] %. Staff is very friendly, my Mother likes them and feels comfortable with them. The facility is well kept and very clean. I have no complaints about the staff or the facility.

So far it has been a good experience. I would recommend to others.

There was a big increase in rent when management changes from Sunrise to Ivy. Nothing noteworthy to mention about the staff at this time. They are looking for a new director as the previous one retired and moved out of state. Ivy Park at Palos Verdes is overall a good facility.

They have had a major problem finding a chef that will stay on the job Every staff person that was there two years ago has changed. So many have quit to go to another facility that pays more. Biggest plus for us is having a washer and dryer in each resident's room.

It is a very nice community, worth the money but the food can be much better.
