We picked this community because they offered room accommodations for two.

My husband died 2 years ago so my info is not current. The experience was good for the most part. Most of the staff were very caring and hard working. Memory care was well run. Lots of activities and interaction. At the same time family participation was helpful.

Very pricey what I do like about it is that it’s a retirement community. Also, if it were just assisted-living in memory care, it would be a little bit depressing my mom‘s not too happy to be there but that’s because she would rather be somewhere else. her house flooded. She’s been living with me and I can’t pick her up so I can’t Have her stay with me. The staff is really nice. The facilities is beautiful. The food is really good. The ambience is nice. They have lots of activities.

Ivy Park at San Jose is a great facility to have a loved one at!

I am staying on as an independent dweller for the time being. I am quite happy to be resident here.

Care and staff are good. Activities is a variety. Great live entertainment.

This is a good, clean, modern community. I like the food. I like the people who work here very much. Lots of different kinds of people. Staff provides interesting activities.

When it comes to the meals, stop trying to impress with fancy names, just cut the salt/spice & serve good tasty food. The value for cost is ok for me but high for others. Economy sucks but what to do???? I would recommend this community to others, but it depends on tastes and or needs

We picked them because of the location and services. The experience was mostly positive.

My first year, the fees were raised 27%. That was totally level of care, cost per point (their cost system) and rent for room. It was quite a lot to accept all at once and will shorten the time until my sister will have to go on medicaid. Going in, I would recommend having a clear understanding of how they compute the costs and how much they can increase and how often. It can be every six months.

The facility is very nice however when we tried to talk about finances-what it would take to get into the facility as a resident- we were not able to get a clear answer.The facility is clean and well maintained and it is the best place we have seen for what we have been looking for.

I liked most of the nursing staff and helpers but the food needs work. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

It was so long ago that it is hard to be specific on things, but they respected us and our needs. They were prompt in addressing any issue I had. And he was not there very long.

Oakmont has a wonderful staff. The facility is clean and very well maintained. Lots of activities if a resident wants to participate. Delicious meals. Outside seating, too. Many outside musicians come to entertain.

Overall it's been a good experience at Ivy Park at Sabre Springs and much better care and value for the cost compared to [communities removed] where she was before.

Clean facilities, weekly room cleaning and laundry service, helpful staff, reasonable meals, suitable activities, and friendly residents make living at the Ivy Hawaii Kai a very comfortable experience.

It was OK met the needs we had. We picked it because of the availability with no waiting list.

My only comment is that if a senior needs a lot of assistance this is not the place to be. We are having to pay for outside additional caregivers to come in because he needs more help. He is in the assisted-living side, but he needs more one on one help that they don't provide. The parking for visitors is also horrible, which is a big problem for visiting.

The breakfast omelets are awesome. You pick the ingredients. Some of the food could be better, but they have to budget too. The residents are extremely interesting. A 96 year old walks quickly for a mile everyday in the beautiful courtyard. Several of us have dogs. The President of the residents is putting together numerous little gifts for a school with poor students. I know their Christmas will be memorable. There’s a lady who loves to quilt . Many of the residents had a great job, and there are numerous veterans. I love the fruit they have like apples and bananas. There are various activities like penny cards, jigsaw puzzles, cooking, etc. When you look,check to see if the people appear happy. Things aren’t perfect , but they are really pretty good. You have housekeeping , laundry, etc. You can also do your own laundry. Help comes right away if you push your pendant. You will know if it is right for you.
