In answer to the previous question about the staff...I love that they all knew my mom's name and said hi to her by name right away. That impressed us all.

They are kind but the follow through for memory care can be slow to nil at times. I worked in healthcare for 22 years so I do understand timely responses to questions or concerns. His dietary restrictions are not followed. Not great follow through at times. My dads room is hit or miss at times with vacuuming and mopping. Blinds took months to be fixed

So far our experience has been positive. They're very helpful and they do have the best interest of the families and residents.

My senior neighbor needed to move into assisted living. Living on her own wasn’t going to be feasible anymore. I contacted A Place for Mom, and they recommended places for me. I toured several of the places and with the help of the sales team at Ivy Park at Bonita, decided to move her there. They were very helpful and made the whole process very easy for me, including coming to her house for all of the assessments necessary, and sending movers. The staff has been very helpful with her move and getting her settled. It’s been a big adjustment for all of us, and it feels like it all happened quite quickly. I truly didn’t have time to process it all happening, but maybe that’s the way it was supposed to be.

I would say this is a pretty good community. It doesn’t get full 5 stars because my mom’s care is a bit more specialized. I think the staff overall is great and the place is homely. If you are more on the active side I think this would be a great place with lots of activity. But if bedridden, it’s only ok. It’s not bad just not as good since bedridden people need a lot of care and it is difficult for a facility to have personalized care. As an assisted living facility it’s definitely a pretty good one.

The staff is patient and kind, they get to know your loved ones and make sure they feel welcome. They have a great line of communication when your loved one is sick or feeling under the weather.

Excessive turnover in leadership positions. No nurse on staff in memory care is a problem. Facility is always clean and smells fresh.

It seems to be set up well for everyone, to be able to have group time and alone. Time without having to be isolated to your room

What I like the most about Bonaventure is that the care staff is great, friendly and caring. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Occasionally seem short staffed. Could have been due to holidays otherwise very friendly. The rooms are like a small 1 room apartment with a ADA bathroom. My mom is busy everyday now with activities, movie theater, large activity room with lots going on . Bingo, arts and crafts, board games. My mom has made a few new friends to do things with. It's been a good move for her.

It's a very difficult thing when your loved one does not acknowledge There are limitations due to alzheimer's or dementia. Ivy Park has made this transition as easy as it could possibly be, which is by no means wonderful, but the support and guidance has been very helpful.

It's a nice facility, the staff is very professional, the price is outrageous. We were attracted to them because of the location.

We were attracted to them because of the appearance and friendliness. I would recommend to others. I feel it was a bit on the expensive side for being assisted living and what they had to do for my mother but everyone and I mean everyone was very friendly.

My sister in law recently moved into independent living at Bonaventure, will soon be moving to assisted living. I live out of state and was there to help her get settled. All of the staff have been so helpful. We had a million questions, and all were answered promptly. [name removed]and [name removed] always have smiles on their faces, and obviously love their jobs. The dining room was always full of laughter, residents very friendly, and anxious to give us tips. We found the food to be very good, and the soup and salad bar always fresh, and a nice option. I speak to my SIL daily, and she continues to like Bonaventure. Thank you for making this hard transition as comfortable as possible!!

I enjoyed being there, but I couldn't afford it. I picked them because of the staff. I would recommend to others.

My mother, who has multiple health issues, moved into the assisted living portion of this Oakmont facility in December and our experience has been overall very positive. The facility is beautiful and the staff are very kind. The food is much better than the independent living apartment where she had been before. I’ve had a few minor hiccups with trying to figure out who does what and verifying that something my Mom is supposed to get is happening but overall I’ve been very impressed with this place. I feel that my Mom is being well cared for.

We feel there was some high pressure to make the choice to stay at Oak.mont. Also for the price there shouldn't be so many up charges for what they call assisted living. Every little thing costs more than expected.

My parents don't like the vegetables that are on the menu, they said food is lukewarm often, and overall, not happy with dinner meals. I put some suggestions for social activities. I know there are more women then men, but my Dad would love to watch sporting events with others. They love when they have outside visitors, such as the High School bands and choir.

We picked them because of the vacancy in a very compressed timeframe. It was also #2 on a list I'd put together. I think I would recommend it with the proviso that it is small and so does not offer what some others at the same price point can offer due to their larger size

Oakmont of East Sacramento is a very nice facility, with quite sizable apartments, lovely decor, extremely friendly staff, excellent Executive Director currently, and a new chef who has upscaled the menu and cooking quality significantly. It is not inexpensive, however. Additionally, the care staff has had significant turnover, including its management, and is likely at best average for this type of facility.
