Our loved one hasn't been here long yet, but so far we're pleased with the community. It's a nice looking place, and the staff all seem to be friendly, caring, and professional.

My dad has been at Emeritus for just a short time, but we have both been very impressed by the friendliness and the welcoming atmosphere. He is still settling in, and has had some unaccustomed mobility problems, but the staff have been great about checking on him and following up with medical professionals. His only complaint would probably be a slowness of service in the dining room.

Dad needed a locked facility and 24 hour care. He had escaped his home several times in the middle of the night prompting our decision to find a memory care facility for him. At Somerford, he has not felt the need to "escape" once since he's been there. At Somerford, he feels "safe and relaxed"....his very own words. The "circular" layout of the halls, the pleasantly decorated rooms and the beautiful gardens give the facility a very open feeling. The staff is also very friendly and kind. They know how to motivate without being "pushy." Everyone, including the maintenance and administrative staff, keeps an eye on the residents throughout the day, gently redirecting as necessary. I also like having nurses on staff 24/7. Just remember that if your loved one needs medical attention in the ER or urgent care, you will need to accompany them. No one will accompany them from the facility. Unfortunately, I was in the ER a lot.

Staff is excellent. Very clean and friendly. A secure environment for those with dementia who have a tendency to wander.

I was very impressed with the staff and overall feel of the community. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for Senior Living for their loved one.

They've had some issues lately and are under staffed as well as issues with med management. Minimal activities as well for guests. Yes we would recommend the community to other families as still better than most we saw.

Sakura is a casual, homey place with a very friendly, polite and helpful staffs toward residences and visitors. The meals are balanced and cleanliness is acceptable. My mom is trying some of the activities available and she is taking her time to get more familiar with them. The room my mom in is spacious and comfortable for her. One should allow to take the time to understand Sakura Gardens and live here to experience a positive, encouraging environment and peaceful mind which is essential at this stage of life.

So far so good, she loves it! It's clean, they're very friendly, feed her well and the price is great!

Special thanks to admin [Name Removed] for great communication and care. I think the things that they said they can do , they can't. Staff not trained. No follow through after move in. But the care staff is lovely and very attentive. They hire from outside agency and that's not so good but not that consistent.

The community is small (less than 100), very clean and bright. Lots of activities to choose from. Outings available to all. Stress residents to explore and be involved, but no pressure.

The staff are friendly. The studios we saw were ok. Some are brighter depending which direction it faces. It is noisier and darker if your room faces Bush street. The hallway is a little dark. The rooms are good size and clean with AC unit. I feel the menu has too much carbs and not suitable for people with diabetes. Unfortunately it seems the case in many assisted living places. I hope the food is at least low sodium but we didn't try to food.

We toured Kokoro Assisted Living and will be moving our mom there. The studio apartment is ok size with functional bathroom. Hallway is on the dark side but the room has good lighting. Menu is more carbs than we would like for mom. There are not as many choices to pick from either. I am finding many assisted living do not have low carb, low sodium or with food for diabetes unfortunately. I can't really say too much until mom moves in and lives there. I understand there is no perfect place...and even if we can afford to keep mom at home. I only wish the staff and mom would work out a routine that works for everyone.

The staff were welcoming. My friend is happy there right now. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

The people are wonderful, and the facility is very nice. I would highly recommend. I don't really have issues with them but [name removed] has a difficult dementia, and it's been difficult getting the right meds and such for his care.

The corner studio we selected for my mother is perfect. The former memory care area has been turned into additional rooms with added kitchenette. There has been no complaints regarding the food. Something is always available from 7:30 am until 6:00 pm, except during shift changes. If you do not like the special of the day, you can always order off their standard menu. The staff is very accommodating when it comes to ordering food. The staff in general has been very helpful and already seems to know my mother's routines after a few short weeks. Activities are plentiful, however, I think there needs to be a better orientation to the residents to what is available to them.

Cypress Court recently got new owners and the quality of meals has noticeably declined. It was pretty good previously. Cleanliness appears to have improved.

I am still in the process of evaluating, but so far the staff are active and engaging with residents .

I toured Summerfield, looking for a memory care facility for a relative. It came highly recommended, and I was not disappointed. The facility was clean and the staff introduced themselves throughout the entire tour. I did find the layout a bit confusing and somewhat outdated. Summerfield would’ve been a strong contender were it not such a distance from my home.

The Garden of Sun city was a clean and friendly establishment. The only problem I had was the night nurse broke my mom's nebulizer bowl for her breathing. It was never replaced. My mom enjoyed her 14-day Respite Care! The activities were very nice!! My mom especially enjoyed Bingo and the live music!
