New Perspective Senior Living

We toured this location when we were looking into options for our loved one. This place was very nice looking! It was clean, new, and all of the staff seemed friendly. This was my first choice out of all the communities we looked at, but unfortunately it was a bit too far away from us to be an option, since we like to visit frequently.

This place is awesome! My mother-in-law is very happy there. She's very content. They keep her so busy . They put the spark back in her eye. This is the best thing that we've ever done for her. We've visited several times, at all different time of the day and she's always doing something. She's playing bingo, doing puzzles, she goes out for breakfast and lunch, she goes to science museum, shows, plays, you name it! They have non stop activities! It's expensive but you get what you pay for. We want to give her the best that we can.

We have nothing but praise for how everything was handled. It was costly, $5000 some a month, and people might consider that out of price range but we got what we paid for. I think the deal was after you lived there for 2 years and you don't have any more money someone else takes over, they don't just kick you out. The provided some good activities for the residents. Everytime we went to visit they were doing fun thing with them. It was a pleasant environment, clean, friendly, and wonderful!

Not having any other comparisons I'd say they're a 5 because it was pretty good. Cleanliness was pretty good, we didn't really have any issues. The staff is excellent, I almost felt like they were our friends, not just staff. They were very friendly, I think mostly professional and I think above standard. I do think it's terribly expensive, I think you're paying so much for the administrations. Since my husbands condition worsened so quickly I hadn't anticipated that, I think they had confusion from time to time and problems transferring him, but I think they were doing their best. One activity in particular was fantastic, on the 3rd floor, where memory loss was, they had a womderful program, a woman that plays the oboe and her husband had a bass, they had bingo a lot, they had a friday afternoon social hour, sing alongs, exercise classes and certain little groups that did devotionals.

The community is very nice and is kept very clean. They offer quite a few things for the residents. They have lots of activities and plenty of things for the residents to do. The community is expensive but if you can afford it I would highly recommend it.

We moved my mother in and the Sunrise stood out for both the amount of activities they have available and the kind of activities. Sunrise has activities geared towards the mind, the body and the spirit, which is fantastic. It feels like a home, not an institution. From the sales people to the maintenance people, everyone invites the residents to think and feel as if the Sunrise were their home. We're getting three times the value from Sunrise than we could have from other facilities. It's the phone calls that we're NOT getting that are making all the [removed]

This is a great place. The studio was very nice and the environment seems ideal for aging in place.We will definitely keep this place in mind for the near future if needed. Almost perfect for my Mother, however we are going to take our chances with my Mom staying where she is. She has at least 2+ years of money left to stay here.

We chose this community because it was close to were we used to live. The location was convenient for our family to visit. The staff is really friendly and the community is really clean. The layout of Sunrise was better then the other communities we looked at.

Absolutely wonderful! Everyone from residents to staff are friendly and welcoming. You can feel the joy in the air and the view over Lake Owasso was just the icing on the cake.

liked walking trail, front veranda,backyard deck with ability to plant container veggies, beautiful outdoor nature setting for dad. Had a piano for mom to play. Offered an Aug. summer move-in special to attract new residents. Clean, tastefull decor. 1 bedroom apt. had french doors to close off if needed. Cons = private pay only. Must sign contract within 72 hours of tour date to benefit from Aug summer move in special.

Very welcoming and vibrant community. Rooms are very spacious. Residents out all over. Activities for all levels and interests and very well attended - staff involved as well. Staff very open and friendly, met all levels of staff and all were friendly. Food options healthy and geared towards different levels of intake. Bus available for group activities. Lunch out option 1x/week. Secure memory care on 3rd level. Cost closer to budget but will increase as Dad's care level increases.

They have three levels of care. Memory care, assisted living, and supportive living (apartments). Very nice.

Beautiful, wonderful

Beautiful facility. 30 memory units/45 assisted, nice mix. Clean, decorated nicely, smelled fresh. Large TV areas. Smaller outdoor areas. Shared tub. Shower only in room.

Most impressive of all the paces we have seen to date that has the elderly waiver. Open, airy, cheerful with adequate sized living areas.

do no need to schedule an appointment, as we've found The Place for Mom at Traditions. Perfect for Mom and family too!

Some areas smell of urine but not in overall community. The staff are wonderful - very attentive and engaging! The food I have experienced at events has been good with nice presentation. Daily food seems to be fine. I've not had any of it but seems to have a nice variety and all is eaten. Activities have been hit or miss. That is an area where there has been turnover. When there is someone there for that function they are engaging with the residents. When there was no one in that role very little activities. The newest activity people are good with the residents and get them involved and include them in the level that residents are able to do. Lately there has been more outside entertainment that has been brought in. They were willing to work with us when we challenged the level of care that was being provided and priced it accordingly. Overall very pleased with moms care and feel comfortable that she is being taken care of when we are not there visiting

Our experience has been really good. We chose this facility because the location was close to me and also they had availability when we needed it. We had heard from some friends with parents there that recommended it as well. I am hoping they will be able to use the Minnesota waiver when the time comes, they have not approved it yet but are in the process. The staff is very attentive and friendly to all of the residents. I feel comfortable having my parents here. I would recommend The Waters of Oakdale to others looking.
