The facility was clean her room was not kept clean. We have moved her to a memory care facility. They don't need to take those kinds of patients. Left sitting in pee and poop on more than one occasion. Had 2 bed sores while there. More worried about having the room filled than actual care of patient. Gave them 30 days to improve and nothing changed. We paid $[fee removed] a month for what we could have struggled to do at home. Not worth it at all! Where she is now she is clean, doesn't smell, more alert and more active. Not like she near death like at McArthur. Would not recommend them to anybody. Only good thing we can say is her nurse [date removed]was good with her.

They lied about the care that was provided to my loved one. They allowed her to run away 3 times. The only reason they get that is because there were some staff that seemed to care but those ppl were transitioned out of the facility early on. This facility NEVER had my loved one seen by a medical professional outside of when she was taken to the hospital for tests. They lied about it every time I called to inquire. When I discovered this and tried to work with them to move her, they dragged their feet on doing anything ESPECIALLY providing me with all the medical documents I requested. I moved her 2 years ago and I have not yet received any documents from a doctors office. I reported this facility to APS. They need to be shut down. Again, the only reason they get this is because initially the activities were good. That director left and then there were no activities. Every time I visited, my loved one is in a corner or just sitting somewhere alone. She's still very social. She's currently thriving at her new facility. I'm soooo upset we ever toured this place. It turned out to be the worst decision we could've made.

My loved one passed away while under their care, or lack thereof. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.

Avoid it There are many others. Memory care is a nightmare. Their own staff will tell you to not go there. I would not recommend. The day I was taking my wife out, there was another aide taking her person out.

Don’t waste your money! [name removed]moved my brother in and than pretty much said he was out of their care within a month. They took about [removed] off of us. She has no clue what she is doing. She is evil. I don’t recommend putting an animal in the family, and definitely not a human loved one. I never leave bad reviews but this place is horrible and should be considered a scam.

This place has went down hill in such a short time span. I visited about 6 months ago, everything seemed great, the food was good, the people were nice. I planned on signing this week and let me tell you, big change of plans for me! The residents looked miserable! What in the world changed so dramatic that this place went to a dump that quick!

In 1 1/2 that she was there she lost 65 lbs. Had 3 UTI's. A small brain bleed that the family found when they took her to the ER. They were putting 2 diapers on her so they didn't have to change her so often. We found feces on her feet and finger nails. We did contact the State.

I have given my honest opinion. Mebane Ridge is not honest with the family upon admission. We were told that our family member would get all the care needed with assessment by their nurse with level 3 supports. The care is lacking. The care is lacking as I see it for the majority of the residents in memory care. The residents are not monitored. The impression you get is that there is no care whether the residents live or die. ADL for my family member is almost nonexistent. No grooming, handwashing after using the bathroom and prior to eating. This is not sanitary. Staff refuses to take to the restroom as ordered by specialist. Member is encouraged to soil undergarments instead. On several occasions the thermostat has been turned down to 66 degrees in the family members room. The thermostat was turned down by staff even after the resident states that they are cold. Bed is not properly made up resident was sleeping under a comforter only until addressed. I could go on however I will sto

Male residents were allowed into female rooms even after being shown video of male resident jumping into her bed multiple times and staying for hours. Allegedly they check all rooms every two hours No Way Place smells like urine Got out in 40 days and found 2 others that are just fine. Keep looking

Stay away from McArthur Manor. Administration is very rude and unprofessional.

I will never recommend Preston House to anyone. In my opinion, there is not enough staff for the level of care needed by most of the residents. I thought the food was terrible. I tried to check the menus so I would know when I was going to have to bring food for my husband, however, most of the time they didn't have them posted. If I took him outside to sit on the patio, in order to get back into the building I would have to bang on a window or the door so someone could let us back in. There was no doorbell or call button outside on the patio to ask a staff member let us back in.

I wanted to do a respite stay but they were pushing for a permanent stay. And at the time my mama didn't have enough money to do a very long permanent stay but it was too late, before I acknowledged what I was doing I got in a mess and signed all this paperwork. I mean my dad just passed away and I was trying to find care for mama because she couldn't stay home and take care of herself and I was sick with sinus. So my mind wasn't all there anyways and so I'm sure they seen that and I feel they took advantage of me. I feel that people that want to go there should know what I went through with them and be aware of what they may be getting into. Thank you.

Never consider this facility for your loved ones. We were looking for an assisted living facility for my mother-in-law. The top one on our list was The Fountains. On our tour, we were charmed. The facility is clean, well designed, and beautiful. My mother-in-law liked the facility, and we did too. The staff were unreliable, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Many times, my mother-in-law was left in the dining room alone for up to one hour. After a recent fall that resulted in a broken hip we were lied to about the circumstances of her fall. After 2 1/2 weeks, no one has called to see how she's doing. She won't be returning to such inconsistent care.

My loved one was previously a resident at Colonial Gardens. Overall, it was a horrible experience with that facility. I have since moved my loved one out, but I would not recommend this facility to others.

It was horrible. They drugged her up and she fell two times that we know of. Had to have surgery and now is bedridden. We didn't send her back. We had her transported from the hospital to our home. They promised that they would take the best care and did not. I would never recommend them to anyone. My mother in law walked in a happy lady and now she can't walk, or for that matter straighten out her leg that she had the surgery on at all. I pray for all those other people in the memory care there.

Memory care was not what was promised. Staff did not communicate with each other about resident issues from one shift to another. They do not watch the residents as they should and injuries happen! Food for memory care is not the same as assisted living. They are given two choices per night but basically wherever they sit is what they get. Food is also not appealing ex. White beans with pieces of ham put on top. Residents also do not get knives, real dishes or cloth napkins like assisted living does.

I would not recommend them to anyone and have been very vocal in my community. I would give them a 0 if I could. It was horrible and I would tell people to screen very carefully ahead of just a visit. Other important questions and understanding of memory facilities. My mother was sent to the ER 5 times in 5 months. She has only had 1 respiratory infection in 8 months since she has been out of there. When with Chatham ridge .. they also demanded I pay for 1:1 care while she was there. Terrible terrible.

Our experience was beyond horrific . The company , Navion, that purchased this facility in late 2021 is totally about profit NOT about residents . My husband was placed after I was sold a completely false representation of what the facility and their memory care unit , would and could offer a person in the early stages of Alzheimer disease. I was required to hand over a $[removed] non refundable community fee in order to secure a room for him based on the representation that rooms were “very difficult to obtain due to current demand. “ These were All misrepresentations by the then marketing director to get the contract signed, which provided her a commission on her way out of town where she would move to another Navion facility in Charlotte. My husband was in earlier stages of Alzheimer and my questions and concerns focused around activities for those aware of their surroundings , as well as my concern that he be provided daily access to exercise and brain stimulation.

Based on our experience and what we think Preston House community could improve on - is their communication, they could have better staff, and to be honest and not mislead family members with information.

The Legacy started off very good ,very informative but after two weeks mom was expressing the lack of response when she need help. Cleanliness the facility was kept decent but had to ask the people to come vacuum the room and fix broken items too many times before the would come do it ratee Love the staff until I found out they were really not doing the job I was paying them to do untrained and not dedicated to caring of residents not all but vetted better for the sake of residents. They left my mother on the toilet all night and do shift found her sitting there no one answered the pendant no one came to check on her like they said they would do every 2 hours so I removed her from their care. Meals were okay except weekends meals were poorly prepared during the week when management was around the dinning was. Fantastic. Plenty of activities the activities manager is fantastic. The price is okay if they provided the staff that could handle the care that is being suggested that the residents receive.
