We toured with Chandler Place and the facility was older and the atmosphere seemed more dark and depressing. WE were looking for a place that felt like home from the moment we walked in; some place that had a bright and cheerful environment.

The food is terrible, due to the community not providing enough options or portions and the food isn't seasoned enough. The community isn't fulfilling the requests of care for our loved one, such as baths, clipping nails, and more. There are a lot of activities available for the residents to participate in, if they choose to.

Chatham Ridge seems about the same as the other places I looked at- pretty average, not great. While I think the caregivers are good people, and I think they try to do the best they can with what the company allows, I don't think they're very motivated. My loved one had a bad housing situation - an incontinent neighbor who didn't have the care that he needed. And unfortunately I couldn't leave my loved one there. If he had been in a room by himself, things might have been better. But he was too sentient for the lack of care and interaction from the staff going on there.

We spent about an hour at Mebane Ridge on our tour, which included a quick walkthrough. it just didn't seem like a good fit for us. The facility seemed a little bit more rundown than others we saw. I would have appreciated seeing a menu. We did see a list of activities, and those looked reasonable. We didn't see much staff in the memory unit, and they all seemed very busy. Maybe more of the staff was in the assisted living side. . .

Good community. They were about to renovate and didn't feel like the right fit at the time. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

When we showed up for our tour we were not on their schedule so someone else had to give the tour and I think they were unprepared. Overall the staff were very nice and we did really like the facility. They did not have any availability in assisted living (which is what we needed) so they wanted to move my loved one into memory care in hopes she could move to assisted living when a room opened up. Ultimately we just did not think that would be the best fit for our loved one and we really wanted her to engage and socialize with other residents.

My mom has been living at Brookdale in Rocky Mount for about 3 months. Its been a rough transition due to her denial of her Alzheimer's diagnosis. The staff has done their best to make her comfortable and feel at ease. The facility is well kept and they provide 3 meals, snacks and a few activities. I believe that she will adjust in time. I very much appreciate the Brookdale team.

Overall fair. One person, the med tech, on days is rude, unresponsive and not helpful at all. she should be fired or disciplined. The temp woman in charge is not good either. [unreadable] back. She was great.

The tour guide was nice. The community seemed older and might need some renovations.

I would tell others looking into Dalton Place for their loved ones that they were super understaffed while we were here and that affected the quality of care that my loved one received.

It is a very nice building/property and all the décor is beautiful. They also have a java café with coffee and snacks. They do offer free transportation which is a plus. The people are very friendly but they are extremely understaffed so there are a lot of mistakes and confusion. The food is very bad and the service has not been good either. Residents usually have to wait about an hour for their food, we are hoping to see improvements here soon. It is very disorganized and we have been disappointed. They just got bought out so we have high hopes for the new management.

The staff members we met with all the tour were very nice and helpful which made our decision, but now things have changed and they are experiencing turnover.

The day to day staff and the nurses were great, but the management team was awful they would get negative stars. There is also no security, they only had one camera on the front door and that is it. We wish there was more security, but the community was kept very clean. They were just bought out by another company so hopefully they make improvements as needed.

We chose Richland Place because it was more cost effective for us. The room sizes at the facility are good for what she needs. She really enjoys the meals here, they are chef prepared on site. It is a good, clean facility and I have no regrets sending my mom here. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

During the time of our loved ones stay the friendliness of the staff members were good, but the care services were just okay. The meals and dining service was acceptable, the activities were still pretty limited, but we did think the value for cost was pretty reasonable.

Make sure to get things in writing and ask a lot of questions. What they tell you is not always what you get when it comes to caring. The assessment that was done was not correct and it seemed to be that they need to fit a spot. They are under new management and hopefully are improving

We like that they have a call button in assisted living so you can get a CNA to come help if need be. If you need food or anything you can push the button and someone will come help. However, we do think they could improve with their transparency.

It wasn't the right place for my loved one; however, if you have a more independent loved one it may work for them. It is beautiful on the outside. I suggest asking additional questions to see if it is a right fit.

At the time we chose Northstar Place because they allowed him to be in a semi private room for a great price and they were one of the only facilities accepting new residents during covid. They lacked with communication to the families. It was difficult to get in touch with them on certain things and they did not really follow up well to concerns that we showed at times. If you are looking for a place that will communicate well and you have a lot of questions, I would say to be aware before you choose Northstar Place.
