We chose Carolina Reserve because of the low resident capacity, reputation and location. The staff have been accommodating and take excellent care of our mother, who at times can be difficult. THe facility is clean and the resident rooms are large and well maintained. Carolina Reserve could improve by increasing staffing/pt., recruiting and retaining nursing leadership and more visibility by service leadership. Overall, I would recommend Caroline Reserve to others. The med tech and resident assistance are all caring and compassionate.

My mother has been at Carolina Reserve 1 1/2 years and I have been very pleased with the community, the staff and the services she receives. It is so much better than the other places I had her at where she was not receiving proper care. She was almost totally wheelchair bound when she arrived and now she only needs her walker, participates in activities and the staff really show lots of love towards her. The staff is very good with communicating with me and answering my questions. I would highly recommend this place and glad I found it for her.

Brookdale is so much friendlier than the last place. They actually want to assist residents. They have been helpful and inviting to my Uncle. the apartment is very homey, and well maintained.

This is a nice clean community. The pricing is definitely better than most and the staff seemed nice and concerned. We met the chef and he seemed nice and was preparing a wonderful meal and of course spoke highly of the staff and their concern and care for the patients. We saw various rooms and I was pleased with how they looked. I saw on the board the various activities for the day. I saw a lady painting a lady's fingernails, there is a beautician that comes to do hair and a podiatrist that comes once a month.

My mother has lived here for 16 months... we have been pleased overall with the facility... it is very clean ... staff is friendly ...the staff calls me & my mother by name... activities are available for residents several times a week.. music, exercise, bingo etc. security is good.. have never considered moving her for any reason

My Mother loves living at Cypress Place. It is a smaller facility which gives it that homey feel. I can’t be happier with the love and care my Mother is receiving.

Enjoyed my tour of the community. The staff is pleasant and appeared attentive to the residents. The residents appeared content and well cared for They're undergoing some remodeling, but it's safe and clean. My tour was around the lunch hour. The food looked appetizing. I toured the dementia wing and in the end did not feel it would be a good fit for my dad. The room and closet were small and the air conditioning unit in the room wss noisy and would have bothered my dad.

Very Nice facility and [name removed] was very helpful and informative. The only drawback that I could see was the fact that there was No outdoor space/courtyard. Seems like a new facility would include this but otherwise very good experience.

Very nice facility. [Removed]was very helpful and offered sound advice to help me make my decision regarding placement for my Mother. Facility is more geared for assisted living than for memory care.

We ended up not going to the store mainly because it's very similar to the Charlotte East facility and we ran out of time. Also as I mentioned below that we are now focusing on apartment-style living without meal plans.

I was looking into a short 2-day respite stay when I did my tour here and the staff did a great job showing me around and answering all my questions. They do have a minimum of 7 to 30 days but I would definitely suggest checking this community out for yourself.

My mother is doing well with her move to this community. Everything is working out well, and we pleased with everything they have done for us. This community has a good reputation in the community, it is a nice place with kind people.

I have had no complaints about how things had went during my tour of this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I liked the open floor plan and thought they did a great job with the presentation of the entire facility. It was just not the right location for my loved one at the time.

The community I saw is very nice and we would have gone with them but we got a better deal from a different community. It was a substantial difference. The tour I had was really nice.

My mother has recently made the move into this community and I have no complaints of things have been going. We are very happy and could have not picked a better place for my mom to go too. The staff have been very helpful with the transition and are always accommodating my mothers needs to the best of there ability. She has been enjoying the dinning experience with the other residents as well as some of the other activities. Overall it has been a great fit and I would recommend it to anyone.

I would have to say out of all the communities that we toured this one has to be my favorite. Overall the environment was pleasant the residents and the staff seemed very happy. The residents were engaged in something they were not all just sitting around in wheelchairs. The community offers complimentary transportation to shopping centers and other various things to do in the surrounding areas.

I was very impressed with this community and it would have been one of my first choices for my mom's care. The staff did a great job showing me around and answering my questions as well. Unfortunately, they were not able to address some of my mom's specialized medical needs.
