This facility is lovely. The residents seem very happy. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The facility is also neat and clean.

Helene Square has the most attentive staff, they treat their residence like family. This community is above and beyond my expectations. If you are looking for assisted care for one of your loved ones, I highly recommend touring this community!

I’ve lived at Helena Square about eight months now. I have a beautiful one bedroom apartment where I can display everything. I love. I even have my sewing workshop all set up in my apartment. I still have my car and able to get out almost every day, but it’s always great to come home!

Overall very good experience. Most of the Resident facing staff (med techs and aides) are fantastic. Room size is spacious for a single person. Memory care director is very friendly and responsive to questions and requests. My mom loves the musicians who come to perform as well as the bible study sessions. Food (particularly in memory care) could be better - in quality, choices, presentation and healthiness.

I came to visit and was very impressed by how well organized this community is. Staff are very friendly. Residents are happy. It’s clean. Feels like a home instead of a hospital like other places. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones.

After going to all of the communities around the area, Helena Square is definitely my one and only choice. Staff is very pleasant and inviting. I was greeted at the door. The atmosphere feels like a home not a facility. Very clean and a great choice for anyone looking for their loved ones.

The marketing and sales person, [name removed], has been wonderful and a great support to me personally as I transitioned my Mom into the community. She did everything including visiting my mom in the rehab facility and going through the contract process with me. I didn't work with the executive director at all. We had a couple of issues which were quickly resolved. One aide was not friendly to my mom, but one of my mom's friends reported the negative experience and it was resolved with no further issues. There is no one employed to clean rooms when the one staff member who cleans isn't available. That needs to be addressed so cleaning doesn't fall short when the staff member isn't available. I reported that my mom's bathroom wasn't cleaned one week and I cleaned it myself. Instead of having someone else clean, the staff member was written up, which wasn't my intent. The rooms are a good size and are adequate for assisted living.

Great staff and well kept facilities! Team is very courteous, helpful and caring. The facilities are clean and they offer many fun entertaining activities.

My Mom has been a resident at Helena Square for three weeks and has been enjoying herself. She says all the residents are very friendly and is impressed that the staff all know her name and check on her often. She loves all the daily activities, stays busy and has made new friends. The facility is clean and inviting.

They were very helpful in getting through the process and they helped in a very stressful situation. The staff seem to be able to multitask. Always friendly, always offering to help. Medication is distributed by med techs. From changing your sheets to reminding you when it's time to eat. It is structured to make sure everything is done for each and every tenant. For instance, if you need help bathing, they schedule you two days a week to make sure someone is available to help. Food has been fine. Nothing too fancy, but you have two choices of entree each meal. We found it hard to adjust to the size of the "apartment." They have several different floor plans. I found these are a little bigger than some we looked at. It will take some adjustment coming from a 3 bedroom house to this. A variety of activities are available each day, and you can participate or not. The place is very clean and fresh smelling.

The staff and other residents are wonderful. Whenever we have an issue or concern, the staff listens and makes an effort to resolve it. They provide a large monthly calendar filled with activities and things to do, although unfortunately my mom does not take advantage of many of them. The inside and outside of the community are kept very nice and well maintained. One ongoing concern has been the food. My mom frequently complains that the meals are not good or that there is not enough food, so we often have to purchase additional food for her. Overall, we appreciate the staff, the other residents, and the effort the community makes to provide activities and maintain a pleasant environment.

Navion feels like home to my mom, just a short few weeks into her stay there. She immediately felt safe and cared for. Each resident has their own apartment in which they can rest and relax, and do their own thing, yet meals are enjoyed in a nice dining environment together with friends. There are lots of activities for various levels of abilities and interests, and staff is very attentive and loves the residents. They notice right away if something is “off” with someone and do everything necessary to help.

Quality of care - (4.5); the staff is overwhelmingly great and he is kept clean; have seen some inconsistencies with basic hygiene such as shaving, tooth brushing and hair care Activities (4); Rated a 4 ONLY because they are short staffed due to a serious medical condition of a staff member; hoping for more activity when she returns. The rest of the staff is trying hard to fill the gap.Value for the money - we don't know how to rate this! It is expensive but most places seem to be expensive.

The carpet needs replacing in clients rooms and in halls the food has been complained about alot and they also have a high turnover

Toured this place after an accident with my dad. Really thought it was nice. Staff is so friendly and thorough. Great care for residents and comfort for their family. Excellent food. Very clean. Well pleased with it all.

The staff members have worked there for years. I find that to be very comforting. They are extremely attentive and caring towards mom. She is in a studio apartment, which I find to be quite spacious. Her apartment is kept clean and her laundry is done regularly. Unfortunately, mom is no longer able to eat solid food, but when she was able to, she never complained.
