Issues are addressed quickly and correctly. The staff is very attentive to the residents. The intake process was very easy, and the staff assisted with that process. I'm very comfortable with leaving my loved one there.

This seemed to be a good facility. My tour was limited due to covid but overall it was pretty good.

I would tell others that if you can't keep your loved one at home then this would be a good place to take your loved one. [name removed] was great at helping my loved one make calls, otherwise the staff was intermittent at helping my loved one make calls to me.

Our loved one is a very picky eater so they are not to crazy about the food, however we had eaten a couple meals there and we think the food is just fine. The activities are getting better and better and our loved one is really starting to participate which is great. We also think the value for cost is good.

I was pleased with the care and communication from the staff. I never received money back from the community since my loved one wasn't there that long. I have called and emailed with no response of where my refund is. The nurses were good at calling and keeping me updated on my loved one's condition.

The community is pretty good. Overall it has been a good experience. The community has been responsive to my questions and concerns over my loved one. Some of the activities are jenga, cards, ring toss and more for the residents to choose from.

We chose Poet's Walk mainly because they were primarily memory care. I did not want to go to a place that was trying to balance memory care and assisted living. Most places are short staffed so I figured she would get better 1 on 1 care here. The communication has been a bit tough, it would be much easier if we were able to go inside. We are only able to do lobby visits at this time. Overall, I would recommend them to others looking.

When we are able to go and visit the cleanliness of the community is great, and all of the staff members are friendly. Before covid they offered a good amount of activities for the residents, and when it comes to the care services our loved one has looked better than she has in years

I would tell people that it is a difficult time and not to judge the community at this time. The community is doing the best they can during this difficult time. The food is being delivered to our room and it is good. They've been very concerned about our safety and it is important to them.

As a Memory Care Facility, it is a perfect place for my mother (95 years of age). The staff is very attentive, the facility is well-kept (and relatively new). Under normal circumstances, lots of interactive programs for physical/cognitive engagement. Under covid-19 restrictions, very isolating and disconnected, difficult to avoid in these times. Good management at the top. Have to keep an eye on medical concerns.

This community was kept clean most of the time, but sometimes it would have a distinct smell that was not good. Most of the staff was great, others were just okay it just depended on who you talked to. Our loved one only needed a few of the care services that were provided. Some activities they had were sing-a-longs, a piano player, arts and crafts. There was something for the residents to do every day. From our understanding the food was okay, it just depended on who you talked to.

My aunt liked the community here. She made friends with some of the other residents and out of all the places she had lived, she likes Morningside House of Laurel the best. My aunt said the food was good as well. Compared to the other communities she lived in, we definitely thought it was worth the price.

Very caring environment and nice bright setting.

Facility clean. Loved the tour guide new all the paitients names as well as the staff we encountered. Liked the deluxe studio or one bedroom.

[Name removed] was lovely, very caring & knowledgeable. Sunrise is pleasantly decorated & cozy. Very comfortable! However, it is very small & dad is so physically active, that he would quickly run out of walking space, even with the path around the building. If he was further along with the Altheimer's, this would be a good place for him.

Right in my cousins backyard! Her drawbacks on the facility were: Only 1 set of elevators and only medtecs at night. There was a tornado warning while we were there and we did get to see how the staff responded to an emergency situation by rounding up the tenants and getting them to a safe place away from windows.

Nice size rooms; the 1 bedroom does NOT include a small kitchenette. Friendly staff & nice selection of activities.

I have seen a handful of retirement communities but Morningside House of Friendship stands out in my mind. As I walked in, the large inviting living room to my right was occupied by several residents, some reading the newspaper and others stretching as they followed a video on the enormous TV. I was struck by the coziness of the place, which was large and open. It had the feel of a well-appointed lodge. There was clearly a warmth between [name removed] and her residents whose mutual regard is impressive. The day I toured, the residents were all up and about. Even so, there was a peacefulness about the place I couldn't account for. It had a good "vibe." The common areas are both beautiful and fully utilized by the residents, so the physical structure must be well-kept. The only minus I could find was the smaller size of their 1BR units compared to others I've seen, but I will definitely bring my dad to see this place. If I could, I would give it 4.5 stars.

The facility is impeccable with much attention paid to the different ways in which care may be provided to the elderly. The tour and the explanation of all elements of the facility were both detailed exhaustively. Unfortunately the total monthly cost for the current available studio combined with level of care required is above our max.
