The residents seemed happy and they had activities. The lighting seemed dark. The room was smaller than we wanted.

It serves the needs of my loved one. They seem to care about the people that stay there. It is nice.

We did like the size of the Morningside House community, it is not to large and overwhelming. However we do think the dining service could use a little bit of improvement.

I really liked Sunrise of Blue Bell. It is a facility that has both assisted living and a memory care unit. The memory care unit was upstairs meaning you had to take an elevator. At the time my mom was not fully ready for memory care, so I know she would have just tried to get into the elevator and go downstairs to the assisted living side.

This community was okay but the location would have been difficult for us to get to and was not what we were looking for for our loved one.

We had a good tour at Morningside House of Ellicott City. And I liked the location.

This community seemed like a very nice community but I just didnt get that family feeling that I was looking for for my loved one here.

They seemed responsive at this community. They tried very hard to care for and take care of my loved one. It was a challenge due to Covid issues but they did what they could for my loved one. They tried to do the right thing.

This community is clean and friendly and the staff are on point with all things. Per value, location and what all is giving in the community it is worth it. If anything could be improved it would be the cleanliness and care services.

They have very friendly staff at this community and they are very accommodating.

I did not really care for Poet's Walk, it was not the vibe I was looking for.

We had a great tour with Cardinal Village. This is our second choice, especially if it does not workout where mom is now. It seemed like a smaller more intimate community with a cozy feel.

Our family had an in person tour and we really did consider this community, however because of their cost structure we just did not think it was going to be the perfect fit.

We had a great tour with Morningside House. The facility was very nice but it was just not what we were looking for.

They had a great presentation and the facility was nice. It just did not catch our eye like we were hoping, it is a little older and not up to date. It was just not the right fit for us.

Our family had an in person tour and everyone was very nice, it seemed like a pleasant place but if you had to go to a hospital, they took you to Franklin Hospital and that was something we did not want. However, everything was still really nice, the rooms were well kept.

It's been a positive experience overall, and my mom is happy there. We have one ongoing complaint, which is the response time of the staff when she asks for help. I would understand if it took 10-15 minutes, but often it's 30 minutes to an hour, and that's not okay. When I talk to them about it, they will say they're all over it and are very concerned, but it doesn't seem to have gotten better, even after mentioning it several times. I'm not sure if they're short-staffed, or what he problem is. . . But everybody is friendly - administration, staff, most residents. The food is okay and plentiful. We just tend to be picky and find it a bit mediocre.

We haven't been able to see much of the community due to the covid restrictions still, but some of the staff members really have been wonderful. What initially stood out to us, is that Cardinal Village is only memory care, it's not assisted living shared with memory care. In the beginning it was extremely mom & pop-ish but not its been bought by cooperate so some things have gone down a little bit.

We chose Morningside House because they were considerably less expensive and also the facility itself seemed a lot nicer than some others we looked into. Her room size is amazing here. They have had a lot of turnover in administrative staff, but the staff right now are amazing. The executive director for memory care really gets to know the residents and their families and seems to be very involved. I would recommend them to others who are looking looking.

It is a nice community; however, it is really expensive. It would be nice to have some more experienced nurses in the community, to assist with care. They currently have COVID, and this has caused visits to stop.
