Morningside Elite Management

First, this is a very hard job and everyone who works here has a special heart to do what they do. I have found staff to be competent, friendly, and respectful-especially sometimes when clients can be 'challenging'. [names removed] are wonderful with the social aspect of Morningside. Keeping people active, socially engaged, and motivated makes this place unique among other places I've visited. Medically, although doctors are not continuously present [name removed] and staff do a great job, being very responsive to every need that arises. Dining room staff knows everyone and caters to their preferences and diet. [name removed] has been wonderful. [name removed] in housekeeping is a great find. She has a really difficult job and is probably the most positive person in this place. The negatives a few, but I need to add my mom's situation here now. Without specifics, mom is declining in health and cognition. Even with more assistance her needs are changing from when she entered Morningside last year. Some of the following doesn't pertain to mom right now. The menu choices are very minimal, other than basic every day items. As people eat here all the time, variation would be welcome. It seems staffing has its difficulties. I do notice laundry, possibly bathing, do not always follow schedules. With that said, my mom is always dressed well and her apartment is clean. Also weekend staff and weekday staff seem to SOMETIMES vary in quality of care. I believe this may be a staffing challenge. Front area ([names removed] etc) are ALL great. Overall, very pleased that mom is in Morningside.

The facility is currently being "refreshed," which means lots of noise as floor is taken up and lots of dust. This detracted somewhat from our visit, since it was not possible to see the place as it will be. Also we could not see how the activities were doing, since there were none going on.

Well I'm really only guessing from what my mom has told us. I've only been to the facility twice since we are 1500 miles away. But I've spoken to my mom quite a bit and she seems fairly happy with the place.

The concierge was friendly, as was all the staff we met. I liked the variety of room types from private to shared apartment. Refrigerator available upon request. I love the idea of the Stepping Stone unit between Assisted Living and Memory Care. And Assisted Living allows dogs!

Facility is nicely laid out with open spaces and is very accommodating. Staff are nice and very helpful. Facility is relatively new, well maintained and clean.

The staff is friendly and refer to residents by name. The directors have all been very responsive to questions and concerns. The place smells clean.

LIke it and the layout. Only issue is how upfront they are with pricing. When asking a question there tends to be an additional fee for every little thing. Would like more all-inclusive pricing.

The level of direct personal care is actually a 5. The wellness team rates a 4, but only because of some inconsistency and some recent staff changes that will probably be overcome soon. The facility is well-kept and clean, everyone is very friendly, and the activities staff has done a great job thus far of trying to get my parents engaged with the community. The food has had issues. It's generally ok, but there have been some complaints about items running out during service, and regular alternative items not being available. Some of this is likely related to supply issues during the holidays, but it has detracted from an otherwise stellar food service.

We have a pleasant caring staff. I am very happy living here. It is kept very clean and we have many actitives that I enjoy. The residents seen content aslo care services are what I expected. I could not have chosen a better place to live and my family are relieved to see me so happy.

The majority of staff at Morningside in Exton Pa were very good taking care of my mother. They would be patient with her and sit and chat for a few moments as time allotted. She, like many of the residents, craved company. I wish they would hire a person just to make rounds and visit with the residents. She was often reluctant to participate in the social gatherings but when she did I believe she enjoyed them. But many times the nursing aids were short staffed and seemed disorganized. Constant new hires being trained. Seems a problem with all nursing facilities. Should encourage retaining the good employees. Mgmt could interact with residents daily.

I like that the people and staff are very friendly. We all know each other’s name a get along. I love the activities and get to do so much each day. I feel like there is always staff present and they are always willing to help with anything I need. I moved from another local community and very happy that my family and I made that decision.

Aides should consider more fitness when entering with key of residents. Especially the more independent residents. Laundry process is disturbing. Too many articless of clothing lost or misplaced.

Several people from administration to caregivers have been here more than 10 years. Activity calendar is full of activities and special days and holidays are celebrated.

I really like the staff that are in the unit. They are caring and concerned about my husband's well being. The one thing that needs to be improved is the food. Some days it's good and flavorful and others it's bland. Also there isn't a lot of choice.

My sister and I first toured Morningside House about two months before we had our mother become a resident. The staff is very friendly and professional. The nurses and rehab personnel are attentive and caring. My mother seems to be adjusting to the new community setting after being in the memory care area for over a month now. My mother is fairly able to communicate with people despite her being hard of hearing.

The facilities were clean, the staff was friendly,. My father was in memory care, and there could have been a little bit more oversight. They were not quick to reach out to Family when there were medical issues.

MSH is amazing. The staff is fantastic. The facilities beautiful the activities they offer are really cool and the restaurant is pretty good.

I'd definitely recommend Morningside to people its a wonderful community. I just feel like there is room for improvement at anyplace. My advice is to always be involved in your loved ones care. Communication is key

My mother transitioned from personal care to memory care after 7 months. I was reluctant to make the change, but it really is where she now belongs. The staff is amazing and I am comfortable knowing she's getting the care she needs. Staff on both sides are so caring and friendly. Communication from the administration was spotty, but I see some improvement lately.

Long term staff are great and the front desk always has a smile. Activities are good, but the food has gone down hill.
