first choice so far

We really liked this place, but it was just too far away. The staff was awesome in the way they interacted w/the clients. If they were putting on a show it was a darn good one.

Loved this place and so did my mother-in-law. It is probably our 1st choice at this point.

We are so happy with this facility. It's specialized (memory care), which can be a challenge, but they really are on top of things and run things very well! I can't say enough good things. I haven't had a single negative experience here. The care has been amazing. The cost is high, but the care is unbeatable. And it's a flat monthly fee, no extra charges. They do a deep clean of the rooms weekly and tidy up daily. It's always clean. The food is good, they take requests and accommodate them. They serve lots of fruits and vegetables. Everyone eats together in the dining room. They also provide/deliver 2 snacks a day. Everyone here is on a first name basis. The residents, the staff, even the visitors. My husband even said to me "Everybody seems to know me and know who I am here." It's just wonderful. The staff is so loving and caring. They have RNs on every shift. One thing that is very important to me is safety and they are absolutely on top of that here. If my husband gets up to use the restroom in the middle of the night, the nurses hear him and go check on him to make sure he's ok and ask if he needs anything. They always know where he is, also. If I go to visit and he's not in his room, the nurses are always able to tell me where he is (physical therapy, ect). Maintenance even pops in and asks if we need anything done. Communication with the family is excellent! The activities director is wonderful and tries very hard. They go room to room and encourage the residents to participate in the activities and offer to help them walk to the activity (games, painting, etc). They have a barbershop/beautyshop and in house Physical Therapy. They do offer cameras for the rooms to help monitor, but we decided we didn't need that. They're so on top of things even without one! They are in the middle of doing major upgrades (carpet, flooring, light fixtures, furniture, nurses stations) and dealing with supply and demand issues. That said, they still keep things as clean as they absolutely can and it's going to be beautiful when they're done. I would absolutely recommend them to friends and family!

I really like the dining room and the way the meals are presented. Residents have more of a restaurant experience. The apartments and finishes are exceptional. The staff overall is also exceptional.

We toured several other community like more then 10 other communities and this was the only one where we saw the staff actually interacting with the residents. It doesn't seem like they are there just to earn a paycheck and go home. This community has just really stood out amongst others. It is very clean and the staff are incredibly friendly. Our loved one is very social and mot of the staff have really gotten to know him which has made him really happy. Based on our experience so far we would recommend the MorningStar community to others.

We went with MorningStar because of the convenient location and the fact that she could go get food at anytime. They do not have set meal times which we really liked. If you have a loved one with memory issues they are on top of things. My loved one is in assisted living and she got out one time and did not check out and they noticed right away and were on top of it. I would recommend to others looking.

We absolutely would recommend the MorningStar Senior Living community to other families. We love living there and the other residents living there are awesome.

We chose MorningStar because I liked the attitude of the staff members, it is a newer facility, and it is also convenient to my home. The staff are very friendly and they do try really hard. I would recommend to others who are looking.

My parents live at MorningStar of Fountain Hills. I can't say enough about this community and the staff. They are polite, loving, and attentive. My mom can be difficult at times, but she loves living there and the staff treat her like a queen. Mom loves the activities, even through Covid, and dad just loves to be along side her. Thank you to everyone at MorningStar.

The staff is professional and caring. Their follow up on my Dad’s situation, before moving into the facility, was excellent along with the communication and organization of all the details. Although my Dad’s medical situation changed, so he did not ultimately move into MorningStar, they continued to genuinely care about his condition and how they could help me get the best solution for his needs. I would highly recommend them to care for your loved one.

Morningstar has been such a tremendous blessing and encouragement to our family because of the extraordinary care they are taking of our father. Unfortunately we had tried other facilities in the area before we found Morning Star, but it has given us that much more of an appreciation for what a difference a staff and environment can make. My fathers first six months with dementia was extremely discouraging. Not only because of his disease but because of the lack of compassion and level of engagement that he was getting at another assisted living facility. When we met with the staff of Morning Star, we immediately could tell that something very special was happening there. since our father was relocated to their facility I have seen a complete turnaround as far as my father’s level of joy and contentment. They can’t cure the disease, but the staffs use of such love and compassion, mixed with specific training and gifting‘s makes it where they are able to make the most of a horrible situation. We never wanted our dad to have to live in a facility but at the same time we are so grateful that there is such a place here in Idaho Falls where we feel our dad is being loved extremely well.

My mom was sad when I moved her from her home of 40 years to live at MorningStar at Golden Ridge. She had always wanted to stay in her home until the end of her life but diminishing strength and increasing fall risk made that too unsafe for her. She has lived at MorningStar for six months now. I knew the decision to move her to AL and the choice of GoldenStar were the right decision because in the first few days of living there she made friendships among other residents as well as staff. She went from sitting on the couch in her PJ's all day at home to putting on her pretty clothes, make-up, and jewelry as she started each morning in her new home. Mom rarely misses any of the planned activities and enjoys the variety of activities offered. Her appetite has improved because she now has friends to sit and visit with at meals. The staff at MorningStar work hard to provide the best experiences and services for the residents. Staff at all levels in Golden Ridge take time to say hi when they see mom and to ask how she is doing. They also often check in with me to see how I am doing! My experience has been that all staff have a genuine love for working with elderly persons and understand how far a kind word and smile can go to bring happiness to the lives of those they care for. As with all things in life, not everything goes without a glitch here and there. At Golden Ridge those glitches have been few and far between. When problems do arise they are addressed quickly. Management always has the time to talk to residents or their families about concerns. They address the issues they can and if some matter or request can't be honored they will explain why and work for other appropriate solutions. Really, the only "problems" I have seen seem to be due to the difficulty of managing a balance of when to bring on additional staff with anticipated resident growth. My mom is happy. She is well cared for. She is safe. She has new friends to look forward to seeing daily. MorningStar is giving her the quality of life she deserves.

My family and i have been so pleased with the care my dad is recieving in Memory Care at Morning Star. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgable, kind and helpful. It is such a blessing to know he is safe and well cared for!

Beautiful, saline indoor swim pool, large exercise recreation area, very close to nature and mountains! Perfect for me!

The staff was very kind. The rooms and the dining area were very clean. I really enjoyed my time there.

We have been a part of several communities in our area, but the sense of family, the access to the staff and the stellar care Dad has received is unparalleled with our MorningStar experience.
