My Mom who has lived here for four years. Her apartment is lovely and she is well looked after. They have recently been renovating right now and the changes are elegant. It looks so nice like a 5!star hotel. But the community is so much more than that. The vibe here is respectful and thoughtful. [name removed] the executive director is approachable and hands on seeing to all aspects of life for the residents and staff. [name removed] walks his talk. Everyone who works here is patient and kind to the residents and families and each other.

We loved MorningStar! Staff is wonderful! Friendly and caring folks! I wish my friend had lived longer to enjoy the experience.

MorningStar of Pasadena is an extremely nice facility, this was my top choice out of all of the places we toured - it is pretty pricey though. Unfortunately they did not have any availability at the time that we were looking.

The staff are awesome! Anytime the family or a resident needs something the staff will drop what they are doing and come assist us. The community is awesome and I have already told others about the wonderful community. The admissions person to the reception to the care staff they are are great. The care staff do a wonderful job with the residents. The communication with the staff is really good. There is still an outstanding issue with a phone number not being transferred over that is still being worked on.

I have experienced 3 other facilities with my mom. MS by far has exceeded our expectations. As a family we are at peace with the care they give. Most of the staff has been there since the opening of the facility which I believe says a lot about how it is run. The staff are compassionate, kind and treat my mom with respect and dignity. I wish we had found them sooner. The activities are amazing and fun. The food is good and we are paying $xxxx [amount removed] less than we paid at the last facility. I'd highly recommend MS.

Would love a bigger kitchen but other then that I enjoy my space.

I've had a very good experience with Morning Star. [name removed] was very helpful and was the reason I came back for a second look. [name removed] the activities director in memory care was the reason I decided to move Mom there. She really goes above and beyond creating different things for the residents to do and assesses their individual abilities and needs and creates activities they can participate in. I've taken Mom into the part of the building that is for assisted living and they always have something going on over there for "happy hour". Music, entertainment, bingo, special snacks and meals. Very good place in my opinion.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour lady [name removed] was just awesome and so lovely to speak with. However the community is quite large and spread out that our loved one had to take breaks during the tour so we just didn't think it would work out because of the size. This would of been our first choice, it was a great tour experience

MorningStar's cleanliness, friendliness, care services, staff, meals & dining, activities, and value for the cost are ALL great! What stands out to me the most are the staff and nursing team. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Our experience with MorningStar has been excellent, they were way above any other place that we looked at. The facility has the options for you to select that cover every need that the resident may have. From emptying the waste baskets to changing the bedding, they go all out to take care of you. I would give the food a five plus. There is a chef who designs the meals and they have an excellent cook on site. They are flexible with their meals, if you do not like the main option, there are many other choices to choose form. I would absolutely recommend the facility to others.

My first contact with Morning Star was excellent, and continues to be. A member of the staff toured myself and my family. She was friendly and very helpful, answered my many questions. the facility is well laid out, the apartments are a nice size. I liked the individual balconies/patios. There are many activities so you can be as active as you would like to be. Help is readily available at all times if you need it. the halls are wide and accommodate walkers and or wheel chairs. The bathrooms have grab bars so you can feel safe. The dining room is spacious and the people are friendly. The decor through out was nice, fireplaces are inviting. A very friendly place to live.

We chose Morningstar of Sparks because I live right down the street and I saw all of the ratings and it seemed like it was going to be a good fit for us and it has turned out to be that way. They offer both private and shared rooms in memory care, the shared rooms are small and tight and the private rooms are very spacious. Overall I would recommend this facility to others.

The staff are incredibly friendly, it does not matter who they are they know all the residents by name and they make a point to go up to them and talk to them. They are super attentive to the residents. Based on the experience we have had so far with MorningStar we would definitely recommend them to other families
