Merrill Gardens

Mom is doing fine since moving here. She seems to be well adjusted however I would like her to be doing more of the activities than what she is currently doing. The community has a piano that the residents can play or sit by the fireplace and listen to someone else play. The staff is wonderful very engaged with the residents and the families. The community is kept very clean and well maintained. They have different areas around the building to sit and visit with family or friends or just the other residents. Mom said the food is ok it could be better.

This is a brand new community so everything is new and clean. The staff is doing their best trying to get everything settled for all the inconveniences and issues that are occurring with the residents and the families. The communication with the staff and families could be a little better but I expect that will improve once everyone gets settled. The food is wonderful.

My cousin has recently made the move into this community and so far I am pleased with how things are going for her. The staff are all very friendly and I am comfortable with the care she is receiving. She has had no complaints about the meals and enjoys participating in activities from time to time with the other residents. I am pleased to hear that she is happy considering she did not want to move in at first.

Relatively new and bright. [Removed] was a very pleasant host. We liked everything we saw and heard. Prices are comparable to the others. Location is good for us. I would rate it an 8.

For the most part, everything is going just fine! Our only issue is that, since it is a new facility, the staff are still in the process of finding ways to become more efficient, but this is to be expected. It's been a bit of a bumpy road so far, but the experience has been good.

I like the care at this community for the great care that is being received. The community is clean and well maintained. They offer alot of activites that she likes to sometimes participate with the other residents. The atmosphere is nice and we would recommend this community for the care and families should tour the commuity for the cost of the care for a loved one.

They are a new community and they did not have a lot of things there. It was a rough start when they were opening during our first week of having my mom moved in. While my mom is getting adequate care, sometimes their staff are untrained and they are not coordinating together. I also see they don't have enough activities. Most of the staff are pretty good for the most part. The meals are so great, it is the best part.

Since I moved into the community and became a resident, everything has been fine for me.

We loved the modern atmosphere! Being a newer community we are very happy with how it's all come together. The vibe here was very welcoming and comforting for my loved ones! The dining experience is a work in progress but steadily improving while the Head Chef out on a medical leave. I would recommend taking a look to see if it meets the needs of your loved ones. I have aleady personally made some recommendations to friends!

I had a wonderful experience at this community with my tour for my loved one. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to accommodate our needs as best as possible. The property was very well maintained with lots of great amenities available to the residents. It was a little too big of a facility for my mothers liking.

I toured Merril Gardens prior to making a decision, and it was a nice place. The facility was in good shape and the people there were very friendly. It all came down to location, and also the food was not that great there.

We liked this community when we toured it. We liked the setup of the one bedrooms better than the studio apartments. The people were nice during our tour. They showed us where they do the daily activities.

The people we met when we visited this community were nice. The community was clean and it seemed like a good value. I would recommend taking a look at this community

This is a lovely community, and my father is doing very well with his move here. I'am pleased with all they have done for my family. All is well for us at this community.

I toured about nine locations before I chose this location. I made up a matrix and scored each with their program , location , price, meals, fitness, and size of the apartment.

When we walked into this community we knew it was not the right fit for our loved one. The people we met were nice and the community looked clean. This community did not seem to have the homey atmosphere we were looking for. This community reminded us of a hotel.

The lady that gave us the tour at Sheldon Park was very nice. She even followed up with us after my loved one was placed in another home to find out how things were going and if there was any way they could still help. It was a good tour and a nice facility.

I was satisfied with my mother's respite stay experience here at this community. It is a really nice community, and everything went well. This is a nice facility with kind people. The staff was good with their communication. They were also accommodating, and kind. Everything worked out well, and this is a community I would recommend.

Comfortable environment that doesn't look or feel like a hospital. The staff were very friendly and one nurse took the time to analyze my situation and make very informative recommendations. There also appeared to be a broad set of choices for activities, outdoors and indoors. I couldn't determine how well the staff encourages the member to participate, but the opportunity was definitely there.
