Merrill Gardens

Merrill Gardens doesn't have anyone on staff who is specifically defined to technical support, such as lessons to seniors re how to use your cell phone or whose job is to give tech support if your computer or printer isn't working right etc. Seniors weren't born in the "techie age". I have been helped by some staff members when I needed it, but have been told it isn't their job. I would pay extra monthly to have this included. Twice my computer was disconnected to my printer and each time it was due to a power outage here. I was I informed that still didn't make Merrill Gardens responsible for reconnecting them. There isn't a lot of entertainment. Housekeeping doesn't do much. I have to clean dust from baseboards etc. I didn't get an orientation, but I'm independent. The food is good, however the serving staff are still learning to clean tables after a group has left and before another group of diners sit down. The staff are friendly. Having a garage space for my vehicle is great.

New, light & airy rooms. Well-situated for doctors, hospitals and everything culturally that Greenville has to offer. Dining options are much better than other places.

Restaurant style dining and surprising how well dining staff know and care about residents, the feeling of family overall, the openness and welcoming upon entering, the different variety of activities, and genuine feeling of care majority of care staff gives my husband. I know he has improved so much, I feel he is safe, encouraged and welcome in the community.

My loved one is currently a resident at Merrill Gardens at Glen Mills and overall her experience at this facility has been very good. The friendliness, staff and activities are great. The cleanliness, meals and value for cost are good. I would recommend Merrill Gardens at Glen Mills to others. I actually already have and a friend of mine is moving their loved one into this facility very soon.

I am very happy here at Truewood. The caregivers & staff are great. If I have to be anywhere, this is the place I would want to be.

We picked this community because of the newness of the building, the food, the DIVERSE residents , the staff, the calender of events and the beautiful apts. (Spacious)

What our family likes the most about the Merrill Gardens at Woodstock is the staff. The staff team there are very friendly and very helpful. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to others.

What our family likes the most about the Truewood by Merrill, New Bern community is the flexibility of the staff members. They are very accommodating to our loved ones needs. Also the meals that are prepared for the residents are fairly good. We would recommend this community to other families

The staff is always attentive to our needs and great listeners. We find they strive to be kind hearted and continue to provide care that makes us as family members feel at ease. We love how they are an all in one facility. Mom can be with Dad (who has dementia). He is now in hospice care and they don't have to move out of their spot. [name removed] the head of the facility is present all the time and goes to visit when appropriate with a gentle loving way. [name removed] and [name removed] in the nursing staff are on top of all the latest happenings in their care and call us when appropriate. Super pleased!

My loved one is currently a resident at Murano Senior Living. The daily care staff and housekeeping are both excellent. The communication of management team with the family has been average, but probably adversely affected by a change in property ownership that has occurred over the past several months. The meal quality is excellent, but the variety could use some improvement. Overall, we would recommend Murano Senior Living to others.

The aides and cooks were wonderful. I had quite a lot of trouble with [name removed] the nurse. She refused to send all of my mothers prescriptions to the Lighthouse when mama had to move. After 4 times begging her I took action to get the information and even though she sent 2 prescriptions over there were 5 more. I had to go to Keesler and pharmacy to track down other medications meanwhile I had to go 2 times a day for 15 days to give my mom her medication because of[name removed]delay. She absolutely refused to even look at me. She refused to let me look with her for the orders. This caused me a lot of stress and I ended up having a panic attack and had to go to the hospital. Also they charged me for the month of October. [name removed] said she would refund it but it's been almost a month without refund. I should not have been charged. Very unprofessional management

Only bad thing is the food not great for elderly. Just school cafeteria food everyone there has complained.The price was good until they tried to raise it. The staff was nice when visiting and the place was clean.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Pines and overall her experience at this facility has been good so far. The staff is wonderful, attentive and nice. The housekeeping is fine and does a good job. The activities are plentiful and are enjoyable. The food quality is average. Overall, I would recommend The Pines to family and friends.

We cannot rate the activities as I am not there to see what types of activities they have going on. When it comes to the overall value - we have nothing to compare it to as we don't know what other facilities charge. Our loved one is in memory care .. so sometimes we come and not sure who dressed her as the clothes don't match.

We took a tour of Merrill Gardens at Brentwood during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was beautiful! It is an Assisted Living facility, but they were not equipped to handle someone like my loved one who would need full-on care.

Needed to move quickly for health and family. I did not have the luxury of shopping around. 1st impression was a plus. Talking to nurses and therapists who travel to many facilities stating this one was the nicer ones! I woud recommend to family/friends.

What we like the most about Merrill Gardens is the pleasant staff at the community. They have a good selection of activities, the community is near our home and so it was easy to assit my mom as needed. However what we like the least is the staff turnover that is happening as well as the quality of the food.

We toured Truewood by Merrill Boise during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was good. The cleanliness and atmosphere seemed okay. However, it is a two story facility and our loved one would not do well with that.

I think it is overall good.It seems to encourage the social aspects of assisted living. It is bright and clean and the food is decent. They have activities and special events. The management could use some improvement. It is a bid disorganized but once settled in it seems good.The cleaning and maintenance staff are very nice...

I picked this community because of the location and price. I would recommend to other families.
