The only thing I didn't like about the location was the activities Director. She used to be the sales manager, but she doesn't have any personality at all, the only activities she did while I was there were with somebody who came in from outside to do it. She was not at all engaged with the residents, and I know a little bit about it because my wife did it for years. Other than that, it's a very nice place in a very good price.

Overall experience, I would rate it about a four. The reason of four is because sometimes it's hard to get help from Staff specially after hours or on the weekends. Cleanliness of facility I would say it's very clean certainly appears to be so I'd give it a five Friendliness they're very friendly there the guest as well as most of the staff I give you a five The staff does a good job with the amount of people they have to take care of which is appropriate amount. It's just still difficult. [name removed] tends to be a little shy and won't ask for help which doesn't help things at all so I'd give that a four. The administrative staff has always been helpful and friendly so I would think I'd give them a five As far as food goes, I hear it's pretty good. They don't give you very much of it. I think [name removed] goes in hungry a little bit. Of course I think you can ask for more if you. That's probably also a four Truthfully activities is hard for me to rank because my father-in-law just has a hard time getting involved. I see that they have things scheduled, but again I think that would be unfair for me to rank that. Value for your dollar that one's hard as well because I don't have a lot to compare it to you. It does feel a little bit like he's not taking full advantage of what he's paying for which is on him and not them.

The facility is beautiful and clean, and offers so many amenities. My only issue is sometimes the communication with staff / administration is slow or inconsistent.

Open dining from 7 am to 7 pm. Residents and staff very friendly. Walking distance to restaurants and waterfront and shopping. Lots of activities.

We get Care Conferences with the Resident Care Director, the staff helix schedule mom's appointments & transportation as we live out of state, &mom loves some of the activities.

Staff is very friendly. People are complaining about how repetitive the menu is since [name removed] left. I would like to add to my review about pricing. Although the rent fees are very reasonable, the cost of assistance is obscured by a point system and very expensive. Most would do better to get an outside Caregiver.

The facility is amazing and the staff is great, they made my dad feel right at home.

The responsibility for the care of your loved one belongs to you not the facility. It is your responsibility to follow through and see that proper care is being given, and if not, remind the staff of what needs to be done. Overall, I have to say that Truwood staff and bluebird hospice did the best they could with what they had to work with I am grateful for the care that they did provide, and I'm grateful for the corrections that were made when they were brought to their attention. Made a difficult time easier.

I like that it's small and only one building, so easier to navigate for elderly people. The food is very good and the apartments are nice. There are a lot of activities to participate in and most of the employees there seem happy.

It's location and the alcoves of small places for sitting, reading, and views. It is a beautiful building. Oh, the other thing, is the ability for the residents to have as much independence as possible. The staff is truly kind and compassionate.

I really love most of the staff!!! The night time staff is not as good. That would be what they could improve on, but overall based on the experience I have had so far, I would definitely recommend Truewood by Merrill, Keller community to other families!

A safe place for your loved one with round the clock care. It would be nice to see more care givers available so that residents could get better one on one care, but let's face it, that can be hard to do. Overall so far so good and staff seem to guinely care about the residents.

They only provide transportation for medical appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday but must be within 5 miles of their location.

Food needed improvement but they are working on that. Facility was clean and easy to get around with walkers etc. Staff was always kind and helpful. Had variety of activities available to participate in. Had hair salon and services that were great. The residents were looked in on about every 2 hrs so they were checked on throughout the night

Well lite dining & lobby gathering area. Open to the lower level. Wine hour @ 4 on Wed & Friday. Beauty shop, good sized gym, outside restaurant events, in unit laundry. Daily check in by residents & if not pressed by 11:00am Staff will enter the unit to check on resident. kitchen( stove dishwasher, sink, refrigerator. Maintenance in unit for a fee. Cleaner once a week included. 2 meals a day, open seating and an Elevator

Staff is wonderful and very welcoming! A few suggestions however... 1. Would be great if they could arrange for a podiatrist to visit the facility every 6-8 weeks or so for toenail trimming. For residents w mobility and/or memory issues, this would be a godsend. We know of many other facilities with that arrangement. 2. Would be great if visits to the salon for hair cuts could be charged to monthly invoice. That would alleviate the necessity for resident to have cash on hand or give out credit card info. 3. Wish that assisted living facility rooms had small refrigerators available, even if to rent. For elderly family member who may not be living there very long, it would be more convenient to not have to purchase one. Other than that , we are so happy that we chose Truewood for our family member.

The facility is showing its age, especially compared to others we viewed. The smaller size was one of the plus factors in our decision. The staff has been very responsive, however I have felt like we've needed to ask about a lot of things rather than getting an orientation. Perhaps they realize it's a lot of stress to transition without going through everything at once. [name removed] from your organization was wonderful to work with. Utilizing your services really helped us stay on track and NOT too overwhelmed.

In quiet residential neighborhood just off Interstate 10. Some units have balconies. Staff from housekeeping to management are friendly. Although not an assisted living facility, they have an outside company, Saving Grace, that is onsite that can be hired for personal care services, by the task or monthly They were great in caring for my sister's 96 yo husband after he fell and needed personal care for a couple of weeks. Easy to work with and always reachable. They have a few covered parking places that can be rented.

I would recommend to others. Close to my brother's. Cheaper. Home-like feeling.

Clean and bright. Beautiful trees and gardens. Friendly and attentive staff.
