Merrill Gardens

The Residence at Glen Riddle is very nice. It has a friendly atmosphere. It's very clean. They seem to be pretty accommodating. There are a lot of activities. Everything has been going smoothly.

The location is wonderful, the facility clean and nicely decorated and the food is good. My 90 year old father is very content there.

Great staff here at Merrill Gardens in Santa Maria. The staff here are friendly and caring. We can't ask for more! They take very good care of us!!!

My mother moved into the Pines on January 31. She is 91. She moved from her home and hometown where she has lived for the past 80+ years. She has done a great job of adjusting and that would not have been possible if it were not for the friendly and competent folks who care for her. She enjoys the activities and the other residents. I asked her recently on a scale of 1-10 how she would rate the Pines. She gave them a 9. BRAVO.

The one thing I would say where Willow Part needs to improve is this: their nursing staff communication with my mothers doctor needs to improve. Other than that it has been a very positive overall experience. It is a very clean nice facility with friendly staff.

My experience at The Residence of Glen Riddle has been great. I can't choose just one team member. I have to say each and every employee working at The Residence goes above and beyond their duties. From the management staff that goes out of their way to please you as a family member, the workers are always happy and willing to help out with any situation a resident or family member may have. One last thing, the care given to each and every resident there is wonderful.

I can't thank the staff at The Residence enough for what they have done not only for my grandmother, but for our family! Everyone has been awesome! They take care of everything and help with anything requested. I know they are taking care of my grandmother and she is safe, fed, with good company and is enjoying herself! Can't thank you enough!

I moved my mother into the community after looking at several places. At first after reading the reviews I decided to not look at Bridgecreek. However, a friend of mine from church had recommended as well as one of my neighbors who had to move the parents. They had nothing but good things to say. The tour was very precise. Not pushy but very comfortable. You can tell they actually care. I went back a total of three times. First time I did the research to eliminate places that I would bring my mother. The second visit we brought her in for lunch and final visit we brought family in and signed the agreement. We have been very happy since. They recently did a remodel so there pictures online aren't up to date. My mom has made several friends and isn't lonely and has engaged herself in activities. It is independent living however we contract care at a very reasonable price that's available on site. We were working on a budget so the value here is great. So far so good. I've looked at several places in the area and this by far has been the best especially for the price.

My mother has been a resident of Merrill Gardens since last September. The staff has been friendly, courteous and compassionate in their care of her. always willing to include her in all activities while honoring her need for privacy and time for reflection since my dad passed away. I am very happy with Merrill gardens and plan to encourage her to stay there as her needs increase.

Willow Park was very nice, it was in our top two. We really liked it. There were two reasons that we didn't choose it. One was they didn't have a room available at the time, and while they were willing to ask another gentleman to change rooms to accommodate us, I just didn't feel right about that. Also there was some concern over the level of memory care we needed. The place we chose was more able to work with us on the memory care.

Village Place is a beautiful place. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, and the staff helpful. I'm so glad I chose this for my aunt!

Overall we've been very pleased with the service at Merrill Gardens. It's a nice looking, clean community, and the staff have all been very kind and caring. They provide excellent care, and have a good variety of activities for the residents.

Care and concern for residents is outstanding. My father is a very active and alert 95 year old, and is pleased with the facility and staff. He told me it "feels like home"! I would highly recommend!

We've had a great experience with Sheldon Park so far, I think it's a great match for what our loved one was needing. It's a clean, well kept community, and the staff have all been very friendly. They're able to handle everything in terms of care and amenities. They've got a good variety of activities for the residents, although I think they could stand to have a few more. Overall we're very pleased with Sheldon Park, and we'd recommend it!

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. I thought this was a nice place overall, it was a nice clean community and the staff were friendly. However, I didn't think my loved one would have been as comfortable here as others we looked at. It felt a bit too formal, and other than a small courtyard there weren't many options for outdoor walking.

All the people that are so friendly, there is only one person that I have had a problem with. The activities are good. The food is good, my father has always been a picky eater, and he loves the food, he thinks he's at a five star restaurant. There have been a few laundry mix-ups, but they were able to get on it right away. They are just top notch. It was in a good location for us, and it had the right pricing for us as. It was a very clean and neat space, I liked how they had everything arranged. We chose it because there were a lot of comparable places but this just fit us the best.

From the moment we walked in for our tour, we felt welcomed and at home. The atmosphere was like being with family. We had been to a few other communities in the area, and never felt this sense of warmth. We knew that Bridge Creek was a fit for us. Fortunately, my mom was able to participate in her new residence selection, so her input was what was important. We liked that the managers of this community live on the grounds and are available 24/7 if needed. Also, the building isn't so large as some of the others we visited, which makes getting around so much easier for mom, easy to remember her way around. They have classes, events and outings for those who want to participate, as do all of the other communities. Mom easily made friends and is enjoying not being alone like she was in her own home previously. The care and attention she receives from her care givers and the Bridge Creek staff is wonderful. I know this because mom is so happy here! One tip that I told mom when we were conducting our search, look at the residents and see if they're happy and satisfied. Overall, this will tell you volumes about the community without the sales staff telling you how nice the community is, they're out to make sales after all. This worked for us, and Bridge Creek is a fit!

The memory care unit is secure, which is great! They are so good to her. They get them out of the room everyday so they can get some change of scenery. They have three different areas where they can socialize or play games. She's never in her room, she is always busy. They are willing to work with us on pricing. Every friday they take them out to a lunchbrunch, at a different restaurant. It has been a good experience.

After touring several assisted care homes for my parents we chose Willow Park. This was a hard decision for my parents and a big adjustment. They both need care and could no longer do it alone. It has been a big relief to them and myself to get the level of care that they need. They are very pleased with Willow Park. It is a clean, friendly, and vibrant environment. They were able to personalize their apartment. The care providers are considerate and kind. My parents really like the meals and the dining environment. Not having to worry about preparing meals or shopping for food is a relief. They have only been residents of a week now but I really think that they are adjusting and happy with their decision.
