Food is undesirable. Breakfast is terrible.

We absolutely love our new home at the summit at Glen Mills. After touring a lot of other communities we were so happy to find this gem. We wanted to move in right after we took our tour however we had to wait until [date removed] when we became the 1st residents. Our new neighbors are wonderful and the staff here is exceptional!!

Pinerock has been the place that could finally handle my very, very sweet and occasionally very, very violent husband. They have made it possible for me to begin to have a life again, without worrying about him. The staff is very personal and caring with him, and he clearly loves them. As one aide said today, "[name removed] (my husband's name) is my friend." Pinerock is truly a great place for those who have horrible dementia, and for the peace of mind of their families.

Mom was a failure to thrive at home. She has Parkinson's and Moderate Dementia. She has turned around at Sheldon Park, she is taking her medications, and eating. She has gained 10 lbs! The caregivers are wonderful. None of her children live locally, so we really depend on Sheldon Park to take great care of mom and they do. Our dad visits her everyday. He's happy with her care also. ( And I think they spoil him a little too, which is wonderful because it's been hard for him) There are so many activities offered everyday. The food is amazing! Families are welcome and encouraged to spend time, even dine in the dining room, with their loved ones.

I have lived here months. The staff has remained as friendly and helpful as they originally appeared. I am in independent living so care services do not apply to me. There are many activities available, some have been organized by the staff and some organized by residents. The other residents have been open and friendly. I am enjoying my experience here at the Ackerly. I am happy with my choice.

I really like living here. Everyone is very friendly, both the staff and the residents. It's also great not to have to cook or clean my apartment.

I chose Pine Rock Manor for my husband as I could not take care of him at home, he was in a wheel chair after a fall and never regained his strength in rehab, as I result I was forced to select a place where he would be taken care of in a great manor. Their staff is the best with patient care that I have ever seen, this is not my first experience with care as he had to have care for my father about 15 years ago. There the staff was never friendly with the patients or their families. At Pine Rock Manor I found it just the opposite, very caring and friendly always asking if there was anything you as a visitor needed as well as taking care of their patients. I remember on seeing a man walking around the rooms and telling her about the patient in that room, showing her their names, their birth dates where they were born and where they lived, as well as their work before retirement and what their interests were so that as she later got to know them she would know something about them. Really makes for a friendly community for those living their. They kept a very clean place as well as provided excellent meals, medications were give as each patient required. They kept their patients involved in a variety of activities. If I ever need such a place hopefully my children will remember how much we liked the attention and care my husband and their father received.

Our parents have resided at Barkley for three plus years. Staff is very friendly and warm. My parents are in a safe, caring community.

Willow Park is a clean and comfortable community with adequate amenities and activities. The staff is friendly and eager to resolve concerns and answer questions. The care is quite professional and accommodating to work with. The medication dispensing system stays up to date. The meals appear well balanced, unless you may a vegetarian, and that was noted during the interview sessions, which at that time was not going to be an issue. However that issue can use some consideration. I feel comfortable with a family member living there and I am treated very respectfully if I have concerns, I highly recommend Willow Park.

We moved my mother in law to Merrill Gardens 6 months ago. This is a beautiful facility and extremely well maintained. She loves the food and seems quite happy. We had hoped she could live fairly independently, but has needed more care than we expected. The nursing staff apparently has total control over how much care she should have and tallies up the numbers that indicate what the cost will be. It has become quite expensive which was something we hadn't planned on. Although she does need some help physically, they up the cost based on how good they perceive her memory is. She is still pretty sharp, but it doesn't seem to matter. But all in all, I would definitely recommend it.

This turned out to be the place where my father would spend his last days and I know he was happier, safer and better cared for than in his own home. Many of the staff listened to him and helped him through this frustrating period in his life and we appreciated that. I cannot thank [Name removed], [Name removed] and [Name removed] enough for the help with my stepmother as well during her last month with them.

It has a charming appeal of a fancy old time hotel with beautiful carpeted hallways and seating places by beautiful overlooks of the ocean. The place is kept emmaculatly clean. Menus are first class. Full, activity log everyday including local musicians as well as outside bus events. The staff are attentive and friendly. My father did not want to leave his home but now he couldn’t be happier. He has made friends and is much more engaged with life having found a social network. As his daughter, I am just thrilled he has a safe home that brings him comfort and joy in his final years.

My 83 year old mother in in independent living and loves her new apartment. She has many new friends and the staff in very helpful when needed. The meals are a good and the chef makes it right if any problem arises. [Name removed] is constantly adjusting the menu with new suggestions from menu meetings each month.

This community is going good now after an adjustment period. But mom is happy here and is happy with her caregivers. They are attentive to her. If I ever have any issues the director or the head nurses are prompt to fix things. The housekeeping do a good job of keeping it clean. The food is good and they have an alternate menu as well. They will try and engage mom into the daily activities. I would recommend this community.

The staff here at this community has provided all that they promised. I love the staff; they are knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. The facility’s cleanliness is good as well. They assist with the resident’s laundry once a week and take out the trash at least twice a week. They provided activities for the residents to participate in their free time. The other communities that I toured were more expensive, larger than I would like, and they were offering the same services for the most part so this property was the better fit for price and service.

When we were first moving in, there were some miscommunications, and a few issues with paperwork, but I think it's because Merrill Gardens is so new. After move in, everything has been very smooth. The staff is kind, caring and attentive, and the atmosphere is really positive. The food is top of the line, and they have such high standards. They only use fresh foods, and they have a great menu for the residents. They also have happy hour every day, a pool, tai chi in the mornings, outings, and live entertainment. The place is very clean, and I feel my loved one is very happy here. I would absolutely recommend Merrill Gardens

Legacy at Bear Creek has a wonderful atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff. The front desk staff are spectacular! I look forward to all of the family events. So much fun to attend with my mom!

I looked at several wonderful communities before choosing Merrill Gardens I felt right at home when I walked in and they let me visit 2 full days to see if it was a good fit for me. They have a weekly town hall meetings to listen to our needs and wants. There are tons of activities daily I have been asked to be on the Library committee, there's dominoes, nightly movies and lots more just so nice to have an independent active lifestyle. They come in weekly to clean and the staff is just so friendly and helpful. The food is great with weekly menus you receive on Sundays. They have a garden that they use for our food and a beautiful rose garden to sit and enjoy. I've made so many friends and would recommend this to anybody.

Amazing community. I love the mixed community feel of this location.

Merrill Gardens has been very positive so far for my father. The place is brand new, only 6 or 7 months old, and they work very hard to keep up the new appearance. The grounds and the inside are kept very tidy. The meals are great, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and they have plenty of activities to keep residents busy like arts, crafts, a movie theatre, and a van for off campus trips. It is also centrally located and just a five minute walk from places like the drugstore and the library. My father really likes that. I’d definitely recommend the community to others.
