Caring and compassionate! We felt very confident about having our Mom in this environment unlike the three other places we had her in the surrounding area.

Merrill Gardens Willow Glen is the best thing that happened to our family. My mom needed monitoring but needed to maintain her independence. The staff is very accommodating and makes daily contact with my mom and reports on her daily. Compared to other independent facilities this is head and shoulders above the rest. All of the residents you see and talk to are happy.

They’re wonderful there. They’re really great. Everything is a five. They’re really friendly there. They take a personal interest in residents. The food is great! My loved one really likes the food enough that he has gained weight.

I think they do an excellent job at Merrill Gardens. They offer a really genuine and warm feeling family oriented environment for their residents. My loved one lives in one of their Alzheimer's care cottage homes, and the caregivers are really able to focus on personal care for each resident. She's made a few friends already, and last time I visited she told me that she feels safe there, which really made me feel good about our choice. Really my only complaint is that the meals could stand to be a bit healthier. The food always looks pretty good, I'd just like to see more fresh vegetables, healthier types of bread, things like that.

Mistywood was a perfect match for my brother offering him the independence, companionship, and support that he needs.

Merrill Gardens Kirkland was recommended by A Place for Mom when I said we were looking for something that had proximity to water, and ease of walking. This certainly fit the bill. It was so close to the Kirkland waterfront and to all of the downtown shops, cafés, and restaurants. Entering the lobby was a calming experience--it was quite lovely. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in showing the available services and some of the existing floor plans. The garden areas were pretty and would be such great places to relax. We loved the movie theatre! One drawback was the lack of washer/dryer units in the apartments. They are located for sharing on each floor. That seemed to be a pretty big omission to my mom. All in all it was a very positive morning for my folks since it was the first time they had gone through this type of experience. I felt the guide was very considerate of them with regard to this. This property is definitely on the list to revisit.

It’s so expensive, but it’s worth – when it’s your mom – it’s important to know that it’s very good care. I’m really happy with them! It’s really great. They offer a lot of fun things! I’m just really happy there. The food is great! We go as guests and it feels like we’re going to a restaurant. It was delicious food.

Willow Park is a beautiful place. Most important, it provides the highest level of assisted living care and also it has a memory care section. We needed both these options because my mother-in-law has dementia and my father-in-law is 90 years old and needs assistance. The first person you are going to meet is Mary Smith-Hall. She is the Community Relations Manager, the face of the company. She is a wonderful, caring, intelligent and classy lady. Only she knows how difficult was our situation! She worked tirelessly and very professionally to meet our needs, achieve our goals and walk us through the transition. I highly recommend Willow Park!

The Legacy was beautiful. The floor plan we would be interested wasn't currently available and probably won't be for a while. The Legacy will be the standard to use going forward. Thank you for setting up the appointment.

I have just been thrilled with them. Everyone is so nice, and attentive to my mom. It's very clean, and we are so happy with them. They have done everything they said they would. They have done a great job.

This is a beautiful place with a wonderful staff. The atmosphere is respectful of my Dad as well as his family. Very caring people who keep my Dad busy, healthy, happy. There's always lots of family members visiting. It's a family atmosphere, not a clinical place. The doctor and dentist come right to the facility too.

They are a very clean community. The staff is so friendly. The pricing is all inclusive and very reasonable, it's one of the main reasons, we chose them. They have lots of activities, mom would like to see more bingo. The laundry service is something we have had a little problem with, I would give them a three on that. They are really good about listening. My mom is not happy with the food, I thought it was going to be good, and they are changing the menu starting in June, they have listened to the residents, and are making changes. The food is served hot, but it's the taste and variety of options. She has made some of the best friends that will check on her if she doesn't show up for bingo.

My loved one was only in the assisted living for a short time before she went to the hospital. She was living in Independent living Plus and we were very happy with her there. They have companions who are there from 7 am until 7pm. The food was average. It is very close to us!

I think it’s a fantastic community in a wonder setting and that everyone we encountered was terrific, professional , and caring. The food is good. There are two areas for residents to be outside. One has a lovely view of Lake Washington and downtown Seattle. There is also a garden seating area. There is also a downstairs seating area. It’s a very short walk to down Kirkland. More like a home.

I'd rate them 5s across the board, I was very impressed with what I saw here when I visited. So far we've been very pleased with the staff and the care that they provide, and the facility itself is well looked after and always clean.

We toured one of the cottages on a Sunday. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, taking time to answer all of our questions and making us feel accepted and welcome. The cottage was lovely and a place we would enjoy living in for years to come. We would feel safe and secure in this gated community. We also like the various options for meals, such as the meal tickets that we could use whenever we wish. The location is a plus. The landscaping was exceptionally nice and we will enjoy having this maintained for us. All in all we were very favorably impressed and would enjoy living in this community.

Excellent!! Choice of shared or private room. Room cost appealing but add-on costs are concerning. Location is very good.
