Loved this facility also. It is within walking distance to Balboa Park and within a taxi/Uber ride to Downtown San Diego. The rooms are spacious. I like all the amenities the place offers. The staff is very friendly. [Removed] were excellent ambassadors for the place. I would definitely keep this place on my short list. The only two caveats I have are that the place is on the expensive side, and the décor is not "contemporary/modern." It feels and looks like a traditional retirement home--a trivial matter when one looks at the whole picture.

I have been to Sheldon Park many times, and have always been impressed. The care staff is very helpful. The residents are happy, and the building is beautiful. The people in charge of the activities are amazing and they are always going the extra mile for the people that live there.

A finalist for my in-laws. Great location, nice facility, large apartments and good variety of activities and services. No 2 bedrooms are available right now which was important criteria in their decision.

We were very impressed with the helpful, caring attitude exhibited at Barkley. The residents seemed active and engaged. Facilities are well-kept. Access to everything is easy for residents. VERY helpful staff!

I am super happy with it. The staff is amazing. The food is amazing, you can eat anytime, instead of set meal times, they have a rotating menu, the head chef is awesome, and very accommodating. I really like that they make the activities as fun as possible, they take them out on activities, and again the staff are so good. I can't say enough about the staff, they do not tolerate error. The head of nursing, [Removed], is I feel, an angel on earth. They really go the extra mile. They have really figured out the showers, and every room has a washer and dryer, and a kitchenette. The only thing it's missing is an outdoor garden. It's lovely how they have situated what they have. It's a LOT less than where we were before.

My folks love Sheldon! So many options on the activities with easy access to everything. The food is fantastic, and they provide special meals for holidays which is a nice touch. What impresses us the most is the level of attention and care. You can tell that the staff truly enjoys working there. Some of them have worked in the industry for many years, and say Sheldon is the best facility they've worked in. [Removed] interview and tour was the deciding factor. She is amazing!

We found this to be an outstanding community for care. A new community with great care. the staff is outstanding and goes out. The food is restaurant style and excellent. My mom is very happy with the meals. She is active with the activities. My mom is active and independent. We would highly recommend this community for great care and value for family members.

I couldn’t be happier with Sheldon Park for the care of my Grandma! Everything about the facility is top notch! The smiling employees at the front door make you feel right at home. The facility is well taken care of with the cleanest amenities. The staff is so caring and provides the best personalized care. I have participated in the fun daily activities and it is truly a joy to see all the residents having fun and engaging with one another! I enjoy visiting during meal times…every meal is delicious with such variety! It is so comforting knowing that my Grandma is in the best hands, gets great care and loves her home! I toured this community. The staff was nice and I was happy with the community being clean. They offer a nice variety of meals. I think that others would be happy with the care at this community.

Loved this place! beautiful and updated - lots of activities, has a 1 bedroom apt mom could get so she has more space - several eating places, beauty shop, gym, library, game rooms, shuttle takes them out to eat, grocery store, Dr., can plan special trips anywhere. [Removed] suggested we bring mom for lunch one day to see the other residents. she said there are several around moms age

Legacy at Bear Creek is a high quality facility. From the first time I entered the building, I was impressed. This is by far the cleanest and well kept facility I have ever been to. Not only that, but when you arrive you are greeted by the residents. Each resident I saw had a big smile on their face and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed living there. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for somewhere clean and safe assisted living facility.

We made the best choice for our Mom 2 years ago in selecting Legacy of Bear Creek as her new home. Very attentive, caring staff. Clean and neat surroundings and she really enjoys the meals. We visit almost every day and are always welcomed with a smile!

My Dad likes this place but he is trended healthwise towards some form of assisted living if his eyesight does not hold up. We will look at this option if his health improves.

The tour I had here showed me that the staff are engaged and concerned about their residents. They were professional and helpful. I was well organized.

I've personally witnessed the activities being conducted at The Gardens and have found them to exceptionally organized and well demonstrated. The residents have told me on more than one occasion how they love the activities and Activity Director. In particular, a holiday party was thrown for residents and their families-a massive turn out with live music, a large array of foods, fun projects, and upbeat attitudes. Would recommend this facility solely based on the activities alone!

As a care manger, social worker and daughter of a senior, I would recommend Willow Park to anyone looking for a full-service independent, assisted and memory care facility. They offer stimulating activities, attentive care; delicious meals; and transportation to community events and medical appointments. Their admissions process is attentive, low-key and low-pressure. Awesome people!

My husband has lived at the Legacy at Bear Creek in the Memory care since August 2016. It is well managed, clean and the food is good. He seems to be very happy there. I visit him everyday and enjoy going to the various programs with him.
