Merrill Gardens

This community was great! It just didn't seem like a good fit for my friend who needed more assistance.It's a good option for an independent senior who prefers a private apartment and wants to be more involved in activities.

It took the staff a couple of weeks to figure out my mother's specific needs. Once we as a team made a plan, the staff has been very efficient.

This is a 5 star facility...felt comfortable from the moment I stepped in....mother seems comfortable..good food and selection amazing..staff very caring and good with everyone.

My mother could not be happier! I am so pleased that she loves this place. She is so active now and loves staying busy. I can't believe how much goes on. The bus driver there is totally the best as well as all other employees! She constantly tells me how sweet everyone is and that they call her by name. Wish that I had found this place earlier!

I'am doing very well with my move to this community. Everyone has been very kind, and welcoming. I like the staff, they are great. The residents are nice, and friendly. I've learned a few new games with the activities they have available. I love to read, and they have a lovely library onsite at the community. The meals are great, they have nice selection too choose from. This is a great community, and I would recommend it. I'am comfortable here.

We compared assisted living options in Santa Barbara and were not able to find the value and quality that we found at Merrill Gardens. They have been very supportive, caring, flexible and genuinely concerned for our fathers comfort and safety. We feel grateful to have found them. He loves his unit with rolling hills in view and trees with a sun porch that he really enjoys!

We found The Pines per recommendation from A Place for Mom.We are so grateful for their service and being so helpful. We moved my mother-in-law in and it seemed top notch. The family is in contact with her often and she seems to be adjusting well. She said she loves it here!

The staff and everyone at Fig Gardens has been great to my mother, She is still adjusting but I think she likes it more than she is leading on. She has a caregiver that goes and helps her, and her apartment is comfortable. It is a great place and I am happy with it so far.

Mom has had no complaints about this community. I am impressed with their assistance. The staff are wonderful and mom likes that they know her by name. The food is good and they offer daily activities. They offer two week respite stays. This community is in a nice location and I would recommend it.

I am happy with Sunshine Villa so far. My father seems to be doing very well. The staff is nice and everyone is very helpful. They have a lot of activities available and the meals are pretty good. The facility is clean and does not smell. It has been a positive experience.

I was more than pleased with all aspects of the community living at Fig Garden. People were friendly, facility and rooms were inviting, with good light, and airy. I would love to reside there. I just wish Ms. Travis would have given me the correct financial information concerning costs before my visit.

we felt comfortable the minute we walked in....food is good..rooms are good size and clean. staff very helpful and willing to help in any way.

My friend's mom needed attention quickly when she was ill and the staff answered her questions quickly and efficiently. They really go above and beyond to help others.

We are happy with the care here for my father. They keep me updated on his care. The community is very clean and taken care of. We are happy with the meals and he is happy with the variety and the portions. He is offered to get involved in some of the activites, and hopefully he will want to get more involved with the other residents. I like the feeling of this community. I would reccomend this community for the good care and value

It was a very nice community to see. However it was just too far from our house and the area my mom is familiar with. The tour guide was thorough and ready to answer my questions. They were nice and hospitable.

My dad just moved in. He loves it, he already calls Merrill Gardens his home. His absolute favorite thing is his walk in shower! Falling has been such a big concern for him. He loves the food and everyone is nice!! His apartment is just lovely.

The administrator at this community has been very helpful with the paperwork needed for dad's insurance. The staff have been helpful and the nursing director even held a training class to make sure the attendants had the knowledge to care for his medical needs. Dad enjoys the thinking games such as scrabble and trivia.The food is excellent and they are flexible when it comes to ordering meals. The community is well maintained and I would recommend it.

I have been very pleased with the service, quality of food, atmosphere, and people. The staff is very attentive and genuinely concerned of each persons health and wellbeing.

The property was older looking but quaint. The tour guide was very friendly. The pricing was the most attractive of the 3 properties we visited. However, that is the furthest from where my mom and i live now and the area felt a little foreign to her.
