Merrill Gardens

The memory care is great, and private. The community is clean and bright and does not smell like a nursing home.The staff is helpful. They have a nice garden area in the back. It could use some help with the landscaping. Prior to the quarantine they had lots of activities and went on outings weekly. They have taken very good care of my father in law and our whole family.

Well-managed, caring staff, lovely spacious facility. Varied activity choices both here and in the area. Food service is just outstanding. Fully equipped gym and full-time fitness instructor.

This is a beautiful place that is bright and people seem happy to be there. The staff is wonderful and there are many activities to do there.

This family owned traditional style memory unit had a very knowledgeable and experienced sales director who was extremely helpful. Her stepfather is a resident and you could tell the staff are very committed to a high quality of care for their residents.

This is the place! Took dad for our return visit & he was ready to sign up! The studio apt was perfect & it's available now! We found dad's new home! Wow! Really liked this place! Dad would have lots of space to walk in, plus they go walking at a local park every week. He would also have access to a treadmill in the PT room. Many places for him to do his own activities & a full group activities schedule too. My husband felt more comfortable here than the other 2 places we visited. We both like how this place is set up to welcome family visits from an arcade to a sports bar to an observation room over the airport. Pretty impressive!

Wonderful hospitality. Staff warm. Acknowledged every resident by name. Residents smiling and interacting with each other. 2-way communication pendant (life alert) included in cost. Community is immaculant and decorative. Dining room was elegant complete with table cloths and settings. Chef and servers professional yet friendly. Alternate meals available. Rooms spacious and clean. Balcony or enclosed patio with unit. full size refrigerator & microwave. WiFi/Cable included in cost. 3 meals also included in cost. Available transportation included in cost. Beautiful trees along with turkeys and squirrels around property. Theres parking for residents and guests. Safe entry to building.

I had the opportunity to go and visit Pine Rock and was very impressed. I was a little hesitate after reading some of the comments on this site but I'm glad I took the time to go and see for myself. The staff was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. I witness, during my tour, the staff hugging and caring for residents. Staff were always present, walking around, talking to the residents unlike some of the other places I had visited and, no staff were to be found. The community relations director for Pine Rock was very sweet and, she answered all questions and, between her and the tour, we were at Pine Rock for over 2 hours. I was surprised that she and the staff took all that time to be with us. Sadly, my father went into hospice and our next move to a assisted living didn't happen but had it, Pine Rock Manor would have been my choice. Bravo Pine Rock Manor

Felt like we walked into a resort and not a senior living community. Between the movie theater, the diner, the pub all on first level. Been looking for a place for our Mom, she is very fussy on the place that she wants to live the rest of her life. She needs some assistance, she doesn't like to admit to it, but [name removed] easy her fears and feeling about her vision of the typical senior home. Between the stories of his grandma and her experience and his knowledge helped easy my Mom feel more comfortable to picking this place for her future home.

Mom has only been here a little over 2 months. But both of us are pleased. The apartments are open with nice layouts and large bathrooms. The balconies are screened in. They have a new heated pool too. One thing we like is there are not set hours for meals. The kitchen opens in the morning and closes in the evening. So you can eat whenever you like during those hours. There is always something going on in the common area's. Residents playing games or just socializing.

My Mother-in-law recently moved into Village Place and loves the facility and the people! It is truly a neighborhood. As we were moving her in, every member of the staff introduced themselves and offered assistance with a smile.
