Merrill Gardens

We brought my mother-in-law from Indiana this last January to live near us here in Georgetown. We had visited many assisted living facilities before deciding which one would (hopefully) be the best for her. We visited Legacy and Both my husband, and I were impressed for many reasons. What we were so impressed with is Legacy’s ability to make everyone feel at home. Whether it be the facility’s actual appearance both inside and out, or the courteous and genuinely warm staff and helpers, it wasn’t a hard decision at all for us to make. We have been so pleased with all the care and attention my mother-in-law has received, all the activities that she is offered and, above all else, the communication afforded us by Legacy.

We think the food is really good, we also think the size of the community is good. The rooms are pretty standard they are a little small. We we would recommend the Merrill Gardens community to others.

I and my brothers have been helping our 89yr old mother with an assistant living facility. We found the Legacy At Georgetown and met the Community Relations Director. She did an excellent job of touring and guiding us through the facility. She answered every question with detailed answers and suggested ideas that I did not even know. With their help, we chose the Legacy At Georgetown and are very happy with it. Thanks !

This is a beautiful facility. A little on the pricey side, but they have some nice specials. This will be a finalist.

It's a great structured program. The staff really got to know the residents. They had active programs and activities for the residence. It was a very caring community and the residence was also very friendly.

All of the people we dealt with were very supportive and helpful in making a difficult decision. I felt that the care my mother was going to receive would be great and [name removed] was particularly helpful in making a difficult transfer and helping me with any problems along the way.

I highly recommend this community for your loved one. In fact I would want to go here when the time comes. The staff and the things such as activities for the residents stand out to me. Merrill Gardens has a cafe, and choices of foods. The community is comfortable, updated, and clean. It is fairly new. During the pandemic the staff has been really good, at keeping us updated on our loved one. They have been very attentive with the residents, including our loved one.

We went with Barkley Place because we took my uncle to various places and we found that this would be the best fit for him. We looked at a lot of different units and the apartment size he got was great, it even has a little outdoor area which is nice. The food is absolutely excellent, they are chef prepared meals. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

The friendliness of the staff members and care services really stood out to us. Overall it was a good first impression. The rooms are very nice, and before COVID our loved one really enjoyed the food and eating in the dining room. She said it was good, and the servers are awesome.

First impression was we thought it was very lovely, and the people were very friendly. We saw three other facilities and there was really no competition when it came to the Bedford. We thought it was the best place for our money and our loved one was most comfortable living here which is most important. We were really impressed with all the activities they offered, however due to COVID they have been limited.

We chose Bay Park because of the location as well as the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff members. The apartment sizes here are nice sized, adequate for an individuals needs. My mom did not have any complaints about the food. We had a great experience with this facility from when we first visited until now and would recommend.

Merrill Gardens is a beautiful place inside and out and run by some truly caring people. My father has lived there for three years now and is very well taken care of which gives us, his children, peace of mind knowing they are there for him 24-7, something we could not do for him. My father has a balcony room with a view looking over the baseball and soccer fields at Ocean View High School which he loves to see the young people playing games and bird watch when no one is around. He has a choice of meals of which are perfect proportions for him and his needs. He enjoys the Bingo and other activities they offer along with the singers and musicians that frequent the facility.

Legacy is by far my favorite community! They stay on top of things the Ed [name removed] is amazing ! All of their staff from the marketer to the nurse to all the CNAs kitchen all of them help their residents anyway they can ! It has a small feel to it which I love when you walk in it’s like the place is one big family and that’s what’s important I highly recommend legacy at bear creek !!

Highly recommend Legacy! The people make it great! Also pricing is very competitive for this area!!

Virtual tour was very helpful..... looks like great rooms with modern kitchenettes...very homey feel

There have been a lot of amenities shut down due to COVID, these will be nice when they are available to start again. I would recommend this community. The location is good. The people are friendly. The rooms are spacious. The studio apartment is large for this type of room for my loved one. The front of the community overlooks a park across the street.

Everyone is very welcoming and very friendly. The food is meh ok. They used to have a buffet, and they are moving to the platform of serving. The community will have two options for residents to choose from. The room is a little tight but it is efficient. My loved ones moved from a three story home, to a smaller place. They were a little shell-shock due to the change of community. I wish they would consider having double sinks in the bathroom for couples in the room. The kitchen is a little tight for those that are in those in in wheelchairs and on scooters. I wish they had a dishwasher for the dishes for my loved ones.

This community took such great care of my mom, the staff was incredibly friendly and the care services were fantastic. The value of this community was great, she absolutely loved this community she was so happy. The thing that swept us away was the absolute homey feeling this community gave, we received that feeling when we took the tour and when we moved her in. The communication was great, we could not of asked for anything better.

Exelent place

The ratings are based on my loved one and he was only there for about two months. I have already recommend it to a bunch of people. The community sits at the end of an airport and gives the residents a lot to look at. It is very friendly, dining area exceptional, and very clean.
