Merrill Gardens

I would tell a friend that APlace For Mom was the answer to all of our questions and a blessing in helping us find the right place for my dad. We worked closely with [name removed] and she was just so AMAZING!!!..We would recommend yo everyone!!!We decided on Merrill Gardens because when my dad walked in the front door he said..this is it..this is where I'm going to live...It was warm and welcoming and everyone is so friendly and caring and he is very happy...We are so grateful to have found the right place for my dad.

I am currently a resident at Merrill Gardens at Monterey and the experience has definitely been positive, even better than I had hoped and anticipated!

I would recommend them for their loved ones as long as the cost is not prohibitive. The facility is very nice, great care and lots of activities and services for the residents are available. I picked this community because of the well maintained facility and focus on the health and safety of the residents. The location from my home is very convenient.The staff have been wonderful and very communicative with us. They are great at keeping Mom busy with games, conversation, and special outings. She started out in assisted living, and is now residing in the memory care unit.

The facility is beautiful and is located in a convenient place, there is a hospital near by and several stores and restaurants. The staff are very helpful and friendly. My father loves the variety of meals available each day.

Price was reasonable and room to haggle depending on what the needs turn out to be also adjustable as needs change.

I would say a "5" for all categories based on our few months experience there. The cost seems reasonable compared to other assisted living locations. Based on the experience we have had so far with The Pines, we would recommend this community to other families.

Overall, I would recommend this facility to others. The housekeeping is great. They have activities, but most are boring/not interesting. The only issue that I have with the staff is that I was NEVER given a tour of the facility. I was given the tour of the dining room, library and tv room prior to signing my lease. However, never went to the laundry rooms, hair dresser, 1st floor exercise room and was never given the sheet which gives names and phone numbers of residents (even to this day- and I have repeatedly requested this.)

I love it here. I feel like I have come home. The people who work here are exceptional and most residents are nice too. The food is so much better here. It is hard to explain how much better this place is. The apartment sizes are great! Much bigger than where I lived previously. They have assistance in house if needed and at very reasonable rates. I am so glad to be here.

I would give Merrill Gardens at West Chester 5's across the board. I felt it is a good value for the level of care and attention given. The facilities are lovely and clean. There are fancier places but this seems to be right in the sweet spot for value and quality.

They were great right from the beginning. I would recommend Truewood to any senior looking for a new home. The meals were good. The move-in was easy.

The attention from staff to residents and time keeping of medication or other treatment is extremely lacking so is alertness to pushing the help button. Other then that, everyone from the top down absolutely amazing and made you feel like you were apart of there family. I would choose Holden again if ever needed because of the staff is absolutely amazing.

She is very happy. I would say 5 so far for each category. The only issue I have heard so far is that they are short on staff and some people who work in administration are having to help out with dining. We would recommend this community to other families.

My grandmother has lived here for four years and transitioned into their memory care unit two years ago. My dad moved in for 6 months to recuperate from a bad fall. In both experiences, the staff has made all the difference in the world. The Med techs are amazing and patient. The staff really cares about the residents.

7 months ago, The Ackerly @ Sherwood and Staff worked with our family to move my sister into an apartment in assisted care. They made sure everything went smoothly, in a timely fashion, on very short notice. I will always be thankful for their desire to "get things done" !!! I appreciate the willingness of staff to address any and all issues that may arise...they are very approachable. Thank You and Wishing All a Blessed New Year

Everyone at Truewood West Covina was helpful and the process was easy. Of course, I would recommend this facility to others.

What our family likes the most about Turners Rock Senior Living is their staff and their great management. The staff have a caring attitude, and they have quick response times. The meals that are prepared for the residents are great and overall it has a great atmosphere. We have already recommended this community to other families and we will continue to do so.

For this place I would give a 5 for all. I can't tell you how I felt when I left there. Mom has been there a month now and I see such improvement in her. I can't say enough about this place.

My loved one was a resident at Truewood by Merrill Charlotte Center and most everything was great. I would recommend this facility to others.

The staff is friendly and attentive. My mother is happy with the housekeeping in her apartment. The other areas look well kept. Maintenance was available when my mom moved and helped with many things such as moving furniture, getting the internet working, installing her TV and hanging pictures. The meals are varied and well put together with soup, entrees, beverage and dessert. Yes, I would recommend Truewood to others.

It's been a wonderful place for my mom. Try to negotiate on the non returnable deposit if needed because of your situation or finances. The staff has been great and has very little turn over. Also the rooms are really nice. Great views. Lots of activities and staff to drive residents to appts and such. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a safe, clean, and amazing staff.
