The Ackerly is a very nice facility. We were looking for a home for our mom, that would allow a simple transfer from assisted living to memory care and they could definitely do that. They have a good memory care program and the layout of that unit is really nice. We did find it to be more expensive, and they don’t accept Medicaid if you spend down your funds. Lovely facility and caring staff.

Toured facility; beautiful facility but mom felt rooms were too small for her.

So warm and friendly. Definitely a comfortable feeling and homelike atmosphere.

Upscale retirement community. Lots of intellectual pursuits and services, modern, clean design & fantastic activities will keep seniors busy and occupied. I'd give it 4 stars but it's at the high end of the price range for the area. But if it's in your budget..... it's a great place

Really liked this place, a little far out there.

Toured without an appointment. Staff were friendly and allowed us to tour on our own. Residents seemed happy and content.

My mom has been there for 6 months. It was a big move for her but she is all settled in and very happy. She enjoys the food and the activities. She has made new friends. Thanks to a Place For Mom for making this transition seemless.

Staff and residents are quite friendly. The facility is new and well designed. Meals are a bit of a problem. From the time you sit down it can sometimes take up to 2 hours to get a meal. Often the food is cold to boot. Not exactly the “gourmet meals” they promote. My mother has basically given up on regular meals at the dining area. She subsists instead on sandwiches and breakfast cereal. Disappointing to us because that was one of the primary reasons to move to assisted living.

Very informative visit. Staff would speak with residents by name when they encountered them. Viewed MC facility and very clean. Staff appears to be very motivated.

Expensive and out of our price range.

this residence was nice. They are only independent living. if you need other services you need to go outside and bring inhome care. More like senior apartments with a common area. nice location, next to medical.

Real Clean. Good Layout. [Name removed] interacted with residents by first name. 2 month waiting list for Assisted living. Couldn't really get a sense of the level of care my father would get and he needs a lot of prompting to keep moving.

This looks to be a modern, well-maintained facility with a number of smiling residents. It has nicely landscaped grounds with space and furniture for outside activity, and the building is very light and airy, inviting movement within. Several rooms are being renovated, which is encouraging. Not that they looked like they needed renovation, but deferred maintenance is dangerous.

Loved the studio floor plan! Lovely grounds. A little too far from family for us. Could use some upgrades inside. We were put off by odors here. Friendly staff.

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my parent’s. This is a newer facility and I really like them. The building itself looked really good and seemed to be very clean. The person who gave me the tour was nice and I liked her. However, it just wasn’t what we were looking for. I was looking for a facility that had cottages because I wanted to have their own place and have their independence. I would recommend other families to tour this community.

The person who gave me the tour was friendly and knowledgeable. Even after I toured this facility, I received an email inviting me to a seminar for caregivers. I thought that was a really great thing. However, I didn’t pick this community because of the location and the cost. I would recommend other families to tour this facility.
