I did rate quality of care a 4, and wanted to add that overall quality of care is excellent, just not always as consistent from day to day as it could be.

If your parent has more of their faculties, I think this could be a great place. It is full of activities and vibrancy. It's a very social environment. But if your parent is in the advanced stages of dementia like mine was, I'm not sure this is the place for them. I think my father could have been redirected in better ways, and I'm not sure their staff was prepared for or capable of handling him in the best way. There were also some issues with billing, and we were only there for a month. We were overbilled, and it took quite a while to get a refund.

It looked nice and was great. It was more expensive but had more space. It was clean, and the staff was friendly.

The facility is beautiful and they have really good medical staff. The sales ladies especially are amazing. The only problems is they keep having issues with getting medications ordered and they are short on staff. Some times the food is amazing, and sometimes it is not good at all. The kitchen manager is great and they just hired a new chef, so I think it will get better. It is a new facility and they are working on these issues, I think there will improvements made soon.

I toured this facility and wasn't crazy about the Memory Care Unit. The Memory Care unit was very sad looking. People were in wheelchairs, slumped over. But the facility was very pretty and the Assisted Living side tour was nice.

Claremont Place is a very nice and clean community that is very well maintained and for what we pay our loved one has a lot of space. The staff members seem to be very nice. However just due to our loved ones physical impairments and skill set the activities are not adequate for him since they are mostly visual activities. We also wish our loved one received more physical exercises - they have him down as a flight risk and so to keep him from falling he does not get much physical exercise but we wish they would try different things to get him physical exercise while still keeping him safe .

I think that MerryWood on Park It is a great place. They take great care of my loved one. They are so empowering to the residents. It has been a great experience for my loved one. My loved on likes meeting meeting people and becoming friends. That is one of the things we liked about MerryWood on Park. My loved one is really engaged in the activities and there are a lot of them. She attends the parties and events that are held there at the facility. The majority of the time the meals are great, but there have been times when they do a buffet and my loved one does not care for the buffet style meal.

The Peninsula is a smaller facility and is not as open as some of the larger places we looked at. The staff were all very nice and pleasant to work with and the facility itself was clean. We just felt this was not the best fit for our loved one and her specific needs.

This facility is kept very clean. They try to be attentive, but it seems like they are very short staffed. My major issue right now is housekeeping. It's supposed to be weekly, but not being done weekly or even consistently. I've had to talk to management about it a few times now, sometimes it's taken care of and done after that and sometimes it's not. Communication with the family is just ok. The food is pretty good overall, I'd say 70% of the time. There have been some mix ups with getting the correct order delivered and dinner has been delayed/an hour late a few times. Until recently, I would say yes that I would recommend them to family and friends. But now, I'm not sure. Mainly because of the housekeeping and staffing issues. There are definitely changes that need to be made.

The people are what really make MerryWood on Park amazing - it is a great community.

it's a beautiful, brand new place. It's clean. It's not crowded. The staff are pleasant. I was very happy with it initially. My loved one was doing very well in the beginning. She was walking better, and she was well taken care of and clean. But then she fell and broke her hip. They told me she fell while she was playing ball, which I don't think they should have allowed due to her compromised vision in one eye. And since that injury, her health and life is now forever altered. So if your loved one is relatively mobile and physically able, it could be a good place. But maybe not if their situation is more compromised.

The nurses and aides are very good! The aides work with my mom a lot. Their physical therapy is good. Housekeeping could be improved somewhat. I would recommend them to family and friends.

This is a great facility! Their biggest problem is paying the aides. The aides make more money with temp agencies, which is sad. But I know that's a problem everywhere. Mom is definitely doing better here than she was at the other facility. She's even been participating in some of the activities. They have an activities schedule, but the director left and someone is filling in. Right now it's a hit or miss, but I understand. The facility is clean, never smells. The food is perfectly fine and restaurant style. Mom likes that she can order something else if she doesn't like what she is served. I would recommend them to friends and family!

They've had two changes in local management staff over past few months. Didn't go well at first, but now showing sign of improvement in operations. This is a nice facility, well kept. They have been accommodating & work hard to try to meet specific needs. Food has been an issue, but have hired a new cook who shows promise.

It was a difficult search for a place for my sister who had not accepted that she should not longer live alone in her home. The search stopped at Chevy Chase House with the varied apartment designs that made the transition from a house a bit easier> Every encounter with my sales person [name removed] was professional and planned to suit our needs. I found the staff to be more than accommodating in our decision making process and available to answer all concerns while welcoming us to as many visits that we needed to make an informed decision. The Culinary Institute of America trained chef makes sure each meal is not only delicious but also nutritious. The residents are given freedom to choose what they will eat and the dining facility is white table cloth and staffed by a very gracious serving staff. It appears that every staff member, not matter the position, must learn each resident's name and many also know who I am. The operative words seems to be accommodating and kindness.

The Meridian is a good place despite some minor problems. For instance, they have an interim director right now, among some other small concerns. But no place is perfect, and that would be the case anywhere. It's a smaller facility and feels like a true community. They definitely try to accommodate wants and needs. It's a beautiful place right on the water. The rooms are nice, and it's clean. It doesn't feel like an assisted living place. They also have a lot of nice activities, including things outside the norm like casino night, live entertainment, and they even put on a pony show once.

It was a very lovely place seemed to be well taken care of.

I do not have much to compare it to, but overall I think that it is a good space for encouraging socialization. They have quite a bit of good activities offered for the residents. She has not been thrilled with the quality of the meals. It is an encouraging place for residents and their families. I would recommend The Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting to others looking.

It's a really beautiful place. If your loved one is fairly easy going and willing to participate in things, then it might be a great place for them. If your loved one is more hesitant and has higher care needs, then it's too big of a place and not enough people that really want to do the care that they need to be doing.

This is a nice place and a good option for your loved one to live. The staff communication with the family pretty good. My loved one likes the meals; however, about twice a month the meals seem to be inedible for my loved one. The residents do have options to choose from and the staff try to be accommodating towards the residents meals as well.
