Meridian Senior Living

I was greeted at the door by [name removed] and a welcome sign. It is a beautiful facility. I am considering it for my 104-year-old mother who finally needs assisted living. [name removed] gave the tour and was charming! Still undecisive though.

We picked this community because of the location, size/scale, and friendliness. I would probably recommend to others.

A cozy family feel for folks who can benefit from some extra support. Memory Care is available as well. There is a lot to do with creative activities that generate purpose and fun throughout the day.

We were able to have an in person tour with The Meridian and although we liked the place and it was a little more affordable, it was a bit outdated, and I like the way the staff appears at Belmont versus most of the other facilities that we looked at as far as not feeling like you're in assisted living facility

There has been a lot of turnover in all positions at the Homestead Senior Living community which really affects care & medication management. Hopefully that will be resolved. Everyone is struggling with employment issues and there is no easy fix here in Vermont. We have made good progress with some recent hires in problem solving and are hopeful their vision will improve the facilities performance. No one in Vermont seems to have an answer for our high cost, so good luck with that.

The place is very good and recommended. I picked this community because, it is close to my house, within RI, had availability, was able to give the best care, and very good facilities.

The Community has always had caring people working and caring for the residents. However the Meridian was Woefully lacking in leadership. I was ready to find another facility until the Meridian Hired [name removed]to be the Director. Also Meridian Hired Dawn to be the director of Nursing staff and [name removed] the memory care director has made Meridian no longer Mediocre but is striving to be GREAT!

I toured with Merrywood on Park and it just seemed a bit....snobbish. I was also a very pricey place in comparison to [facility name removed] which is the facility that we chose.

We toured The Meridian at Waterways during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was very nice and similar to another facility in the area that we toured and liked. However, there were no balconies in the units and only windows that you cannot see out of when seated on a couch, for example. The sales staff was super and the follow up was just what I would hope to get.

The majority of the staff at Gentry Park are wonderful. Just like anywhere else, you have people who are more helpful than others. They are a new facility and are working out the kinks. The meals are decent. Again, they have been working out the kinks, but the wait staff and kitchen staff are delightful. They take recommendations from the residents seriously and incorporate them into the menus. There has been no communication directly from the facility, but I do not expect any since it is Independent Living. When I have questions I reach out to [name removed], who is wonderful. When I visit, everyone is friendly and interactive. They know my mom and like to tell me about her shenanigans. I would recommend the facility and so would mom, but know they are new and with new comes certain obstacles. They seem to be unorganized and it takes them a long time to address big facility issues but they are addressing them. For example, the door system is supposed to auto lock and the residents have a key fob or code for entry. That has never worked and my mom was told it will be awhile because the system won't work because of some issue that are costly and it has to wait to be fixed. This has been a MAJOR annoyance for my mom and some of the other residents. Accessibility is important to them to reduce walking distance. Also, the smoking section needs attention. They have 2 metal benches out in the sun. It needs a cover and new seating. And the curbs exiting the side doors and entering the smoking and dog area need to be redone and accessible for people in walkers. The curb is way too high and I see people struggle on a regular basis. It's a hazard for anyone using those doors. My mom also said that she'd like more outings, like to restaurants and events.

In general, I think the staff is fine. I had some issues with the GM in addressing some issues for my mother. He was outright rude with me. The kitchen staff changes frequently and has had ongoing issues with food service quality as a result.

Our family had an in person tour with Landings of Sidney and we really liked the tour and the community but it was more then what our loved one could afford.

What we like most about the Landings of Sidney is the staff team, they really are a good bunch. Our family really likes them and our loved one who is a resident there really likes them. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Landings of Sidney to other families.

Assisted Living at The Meadowlands is a very nice place overall, although in our family's experience there, the nurses seem to take a while to answer calls.

It's the nurses, housecleaning, dining, and other staff that make Chapel Hill a great fit for my mother. Staff are excellent. But the administrative side needs to increase their van driver recruitment/retention efforts because missed medical appointments due to driver unavailability is problematic and should be avoided at all costs.

Our Mom is a resident at The Country House in Westchester. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and pleasant. They have excellent activities for seniors. My mother enjoys the food choices and has made friends with the residents. We would highly recommend this facility to family and friends.

We really like Chapel Hill Senior Living a lot. We really appreciate the friendly staff and residents there as well as the overall cleanliness. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

We are happy with our choice. Each of the residents, is given a menu for the week in their apartment, and in the dining room. It's helpful. Turn over at the management level is becoming concerning. Clinical staff is still great! Everyone is friendly and approachable. [name removed], the current director, held the first 'family forum' which was very nice. She didn't shy away from any question. It was very nice to have an open conversation regarding good and not so good things.

The staff really wants to get to know my mom to help them help her feel more comfortable. The Memory care unit feels very homey and the staff really care. Mom shares a room. It is split by a partial wall and the size is comfortable for her and her things.
