I would recommend Claremont Place. I don't think there is a better facility in my area. It is very near my home, so it's easy to visit my wife.

I care deeply for my sister and only want the best for her. After touring other facilities within a 40 mile radius, I found the Landings had everything I felt my sister could need and care she could use daily. It is in the city she grew up in with friends and family. It is early in her stay at the Landings. I hope it continues to work for her needs.

The staff is very friendly and the facility is clean and appealing. I wasn't crazy about the monthly rate going up. It's really stretching me. I have had a good experience. The trips are nice.

I have been very happy. My mom seems to be happy too. I would recommend to others.

It is a very nice facility I would say it is definitely better for independent living than assisted. Decent size apartments, mom is in what they called a flex apartment so if she leveled up to assisted she wouldn't have to move apartments so there is not a full kitchen but the living space is good the bedroom good and closets are large.

Everyone in Memory Care was wonderful with my dad and showed compassion with his passing. Food sensitivity awareness could have been higher, as well as the cleanliness of his room, albeit a hard task to keep up with an Alzheimer's patient. They did their best.

Pros. Clean friendly good food. Nice people big rooms. Great staff. Cons. Need more variety of activities and more activities after dinner.

The move-in process is fine, but the carpet was supposed to be ripped out and replaced with hardwood floors and that wasn't done on time. So, there was a delay in the move-in. There has been an issue with the shuttle that my mother-in-law wants to take to visit her husband who is in another rehab facility. She's finding it difficult to get a ride and she has dementia, so she's finding the process a bit challenging. I'm not sure whose fault that is, though.

Communication - If I communicate something with the front desk, it is more than likely done on behalf of my Dad. The "back" office, particularly financial part, have not given clear answers when I have asked about invoices nor did she get back to me when I was told she would. I wish they would have been more clear about the differences between Independent and Assisted living prior to signing papers (beyond the basics like number of meals etc). I did not know my Dad was not allowed to be (medically) helped by anyone within Pinnacle because he is in independent. He has had numerous unexpected medical conditions upon move-in and I have learned the difference myself. That said, they are very attentive to our needs and try to help as best they are permitted to do so. Meals are pretty good, according to my Dad. The move-in process was pretty good - provided carts etc. Overall, very pleasant and clean facility.

We chose Villas of Holly Brook Marshall because of the convenient location as well as the availability they had. The administrator is great. They need more than one nurse.

The staff are friendly and accommodating. It was an easy move in, they accepted deliveries a couple of days before move in. It's very nice, everyone remembers your name. My family are able to ask questions. The food is good, for the most part. The wait staff are excellent. The only thing I am not crazy about is that the laundry gets picked up during 2nd shift and 3rd shifts returns it, but it has been returned at midnight or 6:00. I'm not crazy about the hours. Anyway, I would recommend this facility to others, it's nice and clean.

Overall I am pleased with the care my mom receives. She seems happy for the most part. The staff is kind.

Wanted to look in our hometown for a care facility. After working with Executive Director, we mutually agreed to housing for my mother . After 4-5 months of residency, we felt comfortable selling Mom’s house & committing to Brookstone. Staff works hard to address your needs with a sincere approach to satisfying their residents.

My mother in law lives at Brookstone. She loves the staff, loves joking with them, making things for them and picking on them. She considers Brookstone home. We appreciate the fact that there is always someone there to keep an eye on her.

It's very pleasant here in Independent Living, but I'm still not certain after my first 5 weeks here that I want to spend the rest of my life here. The residents are very friendly but are seemingly in a much older demographic than I am. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job. Nevertheless, some of us residents are very annoyed by the little tiny fruit flies or fleas or whatever (??) that we notice both in our apartments and in the main dining room that we swat at. They don't bite or anything like that, but they are annoying. Not sure what is attracting them as we don't keep any compost containers around. I never see any of the office staff, but the maintenance group as well as the kitchen staff are super friendly and excellent. We don't get any medical care here in Harbor View/Independent Living and I do have serious concern that there are no AED's or any CO2 detectors anywhere in this building. Both the kitchen/waitstaff and the food are excellent. The menu has a very good variety throughout the week. Activities are okay but could be somewhat improved and increased on the Harbor View side of the property. Would also be nice to see a published listing or calendar every week of what is going on. Good but could definitely be improved if the balconies were redone as I was told they would be during my initial tour - they are indeed doing to the outside sidewalk this week - and the drab/stained/sometimes buckling carpeting replaced. Would really give this place a refreshing face lift.)

It was a good move for my mother. The people are friendly, she feels safe, and she loves the food. It looks more like a hotel than a senior living facility.

There was some confusion before they moved in regarding their doctors evaluation. It had the potential to delay their move in date. This would have made things very difficult and caused a great deal of stress. It ended up working out, but it was something that could have been avoided. Also, dealing with it the day before the move was difficult. There has been an occasion when an alert button was pressed that assistance took a long time to arrive. It wasn't anything serious. It only happened once. But if it's a regular occurrence, that would be cause for concern.
