Meridian Senior Living

My sister [name removed] has been at the Pinnacle for about a year and a half. The facility has many amenities including a movie theater , pub and game room. The aides, therapists , hair stylists and kitchen staff have been great looking out for Jane. The activities staff, especially [name removed] have worked hard getting [name removed] involved in things.

We moved our mom into the Meridian mid April after visiting several places in both Hillsborough and Pinellas County. The Meridian is close to wear she use to live so it seemed like the perfect fit and it is. The staff is always very friend and helpful. They know my mom by name and are always very cheerful and asking how she is doing. Mom loves to just sit and watch and greet people in the lobby area along with another friend. Thankful that I know she is getting well balance meals, is socializing and I know if staff is needed she can just press a button. Thank you to everyone who is helping in the care for our mom!

Good service by aides. But needs more aides! Food is great! Lots of entertainment and things to do.

What I see and like most is how ALL the folks there are kind and friendly. My mom receives great care for health and hygiene and she’s not forced to participate in activities if she doesn’t want to but is firmly encouraged to get up, dressed and out to meals every day. I do see the tremendous efforts to care for the community as well as improve and do the necessary upkeep of the facility.

Transitioning into the Esplanade was made easier by the willingness of the Leadership to respond until we were satisfied. Our family member feels like they are living in a Hotel because their room is large and spacious, the Esplanade is well maintained. When we routinely visit our family member, we are warmly greeted by smiling staff who are accommodating. Living at home as a Senior with memory issues is fraught with many challenges. Once you leave your own home, nothing is the same, but we are happy with the Esplanade for doing their best.

The place is very bright and lively. Staff are attentive. Very social environment.

Most of the time everything is pretty good. Staff is very good most of the time.

Staff and facility worked with us to aide in a smooth transition for our mom from a rehab center to assisted living. This made a difficult change much easier. The staff aided us with suggestion to ease the transition.

I moved here just over a years ago. Since then, it (this community) has changed hands. There are a lot of dogs- sometimes barking on rare occasions leaving urine feces in the hall. Ice cream machine rarely working food is fair, usually not hot. Activities are becoming better resident wonderful.

They are frequently short staffed. We have found delayed response to call light. Laundry is done by aides when they can get to it and then just shoved away in the room any which way. Mom is no longer ambulatory so this has been an issue. They do take her in her wheelchair to dining room and assist with eating. T facility is clean and not "smelly". When it comes to the care services they are short staffed. It is very expensive when you factor in staffing issues. I have observed worse facilities and also know that many have staffing issues.

The best part of MerryWood is the feel of community - it is small enough that people know each other.

I would say what you get in the very beginning before they actually decide to move in is different than what you get after they move in. The facility is very clean. I feel safe having my mother there. The nursing staff is excellent ( with what we have had). The meals are average. My mom complains about the lack of seasoning and the pasta meals are over cooked( mush).

Very nice people, but they are under-staffed. The staff that are there are over-worked. The facility is very clean and homey. They have a lot of great activities offered for the residents.

If we could give them a 4.5 we would. They have been efficient, caring, professional, nurturing facility with a fabulous physical, speech & occupational company part of their care & treatment.

The ALF is beautiful and offers great activities, meals and staff for the price. The memory care where my father was good overall but he had a bad experience. He was pushed by another resident, fell and it resulted in his death.

My mom is very comfortable there. Not a big place and the location and grounds are great.

They have alot of activities for the residence. The facility is always clean and bright. The forst few weeks there were somethings that were not communicated such as laundry day, cleaning day, and what the staff does and doesn't do. It has worked itself out for the most part but was a little difficult to navigate in the begining.

There was a full staff when I came. Soon the "newest" staff began showing a well oiled "machined," But shortly after... We lost and contacted people in the community, lost staff, residents coming in, directors coming and leaving. The quality of directors, food services, resident assistants, housekeeping, maintenance etc. It has been noted that the newest director is involved in community and seeking more resident and getting them. Each day we've got more residents and more activity.

Beautiful building. The staff was very friendly. They were great answering all my questions.

I went to see my moms friend the other day. I was so surprised how nice the facility is. My friend told ne it was but I thought she exaggerated. It was beautiful, clean, friendly. I would feel comfortable sending my parents here if they were still alive.
