Lots more men here than most places. Oftentimes men outnumber women in the dining room for breakfast especially. We chose the most expensive room that has a separate bedroom from the main living area with a small kitchenette. Pretty much space for a sofa, recliner and several smaller chairs for seating. Also room for a small dining table inside the door adjacent to the kitchen area. Meals used to be much better when we first arrived but the quality and variety has declined to just average or below the past few months. Many residents do complain about that. They are short-staffed and do have difficulty keeping housekeepers and servers which places more workload on those who have been here awhile. We do like it here since it's all one floor and the staff is friendly.

Impressive physical facilities and friendly staff. Community feeling makes us feel confident that our patient would feel confident here. High cost is the deciding factor before our next visit.

The staff was very helpful and concerned about [name removed]'s well-being. I hgihly recommend The Meadowlands.

It's great, no complaints. She knows she cannot be at home, and peace of mind at my age is everything. I am content here.

My mom pays for a single meal a day, she is 95 and living in a 1 bedroom independent living space. The space is spacious with ample closets and kitchen appliances. Unfurnished otherwise. Cleaners come in once a week to dust and vacuum the floors. There are things for her to do but she keeps to her self. The cable TV basic offering comes with the room but phone and internet service is your responsibility. Meals are very well thought out and prepared. Mom has not used the transportation service that is available to go to certain stores and probably activities. I don't know she doesn't use them.. . There are three buildings one for independent living one for early problems in one for full memory care issues. The staff is courteous. This is not a high-end place that has happy hour and bands come in or things like that. However, they do have some basic activities.

The staff clearly leads with their hearts. All of them. Mom loves the food. Small place very welcoming. The bathrooms and rooms need a bit of renovation but clearly not important to our family or my mom.

the basic structure supports independent senior living. the facility is modern and the apartments are well designed and organized. there is a shortage of elevators from my point of view. but the existing elevators are friendly for ambulance transport. the food service appears excellent. the delivery charge for anyone who cannot locomote to the dining room seems high. their claim in that the fee encourages people to leave their apartment and socialize is a great idea. but I for one have had days when I could not get to the dining room. lots of activities indoors and outdoors.

The community is nice overall, seems to have a good staff to patient ratio and some activities. The resident would need to be very independent and mobile to go there because there is very little staffing overnight and the ground floor has no nurse station. Upstairs there is only one small common room with not enough seating for everyone but downstairs there is a large dining room with plenty of room for meals and activities

As homes for older people are I think this is. Very good. The staff is exceptional. They do their job. Very pleasant and competent. My apartment is large enough for my needs. I wish we had activities on the weekend. I would rate the food about a "B". It is nutritious. It is not always good. The "pork chops" are terrible. All the ground meats are not good. I love all the desserts. I really think the staff is exceptional in concern for the occupants.

The nurse takes great care of me! Everyone waits on me hand and foot.

I enjoyed my time at the Homestead. I recently retired and try to come and visit with the resident. I just love talking to them and the love my visits. I volunteer doing crafts with the residents who are interested. They really appreciate my coming to see them. They are such wonderful people who love a chance to visit.

Shes been there since [date removed].Leads a very active life now.Sometimes hard to get ahold of.Does chair yoga, strength training and games.Shes in better shape than most people. Food can be a little inconsistent. Mom is in independent living and helps her neighbors.

Staff not prompt on returning phone calls. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They keep it very clean. Not crowded nice and peaceful.

All is great. Although the menu isn't as presented during interview. The rooms are comfortable and there are a diversity of amenities offered.

Just about everyone that works there, from the cleaning staff, kitchen staff, front desk, aids, custodial, admins. etc. knows every resident and their needs and are helpful to residents. Like everywhere else tho a little short staffed. (but more staff more cost) They could use some more activities. When you first go there the and look at the activities board it looks so full. When you actually read it, its not. Also sometimes an activity is on the board but doesnt happen. They need more interactive things, DAILY, like card games, board games, bingo.etc. (they do have pokeno). I do think that they should have more security cameras. Overall we are happy with The Country House.

This was not a good fit for my mom, she was very unhappy there and left on [date removed]. Overall I would give them a 4. Taking many things into consideration this would be average score. Some things were a 1 and others 5. Some of the admin staff do not handle themselves in a professional manner. Aides were great! Activities left a lot to be desired. No kitchenettes or sinks other than bathroom...very unsanitary to wash a glass, spoon etc.

My mom has settled in to The Landings and now consider it home. She likes the aids and cuts up with them I see her interacting with them. We are a little disappointed that they can't get her showered. If we have questions or problems I feel they are helpful when needed.

I’d say it has been a good experience. Breakfast’s always are good. I’m not a chicken or fish eater. But you can get substitutions which o like. Really nice people work and live here. Even the maintenance man is very personable.
