I thought Huntington Terrace was awful. The facility was very old. When we walked in, immediately it smelled like a nursing home. My loved one is still active, and we were looking for assisted living not because he needs a lot of help but because of his declining vision. So he will likely have future care needs. There just didn’t seem to be a lot of activity. The residents were much more in need of help than him. Also the resident population was only about 5% men (which I know partly is a factor of women generally outliving men). We also didn’t like configuration of their apartments. Huntington Terrace just looked like a step beyond what we wanted for him at the time.

I was not impressed by Tuscany at McCormick Ranch. When I asked what their covid policy was their response was that covid was behind us and that they were moving forward. This is a very vulnerable age group and my loved one passed away from covid so this response really bothered me. That was the reason we did not move forward with Tuscany.

I moved in when it first opened . Since I have lived there, there was a storm that damaged my room. The food is cheaply made and too many spices (onions and garlic to be exact) in the food. They community calls it gourmets but it isn't. There are times I wouldn't eat what is being served and bring my own food. The carpets are dirty in my room, I need a new refrigerator, the lights in the apartment are going out, and maintenance is supposed to be there but they have gone through a lot of staff members. They want to move me to another room, but it is more expensive, and don't feel this is fair, all so they can update my room.

Didn't have many activities.

This felt outdated in the decorations. However, it was a very nice community.

They were disappointing due to low staffing.

This community was not as clean, inviting, open or lively as the community we chose. Just overall not a good fit for my loved one.

Our family had an in person tour and it is nice but we wanted a community where our loved one could age in place

I've had mixed results. I would prefer not to be in assisted living at all.

Dale Commons was a very nice facility and seemed like a good place, it was just way out of our price range.

Too many management changes and personnel in general. Dining is disgusting on some days.

The one area that is very concerning is the lack of accurate and consistent documentation of care (PT, OT, Med dispensing, blood pressure readings ect. This is not an area where data is missing, inconsistent or just done present. This needs to be remedied as soon as possible. Facility and staff are great.

I thought they were very nice except for the person who was in charge of the memory care unit. I just really didn't like her. She was not caring at all. But the director was very nice and very accommodating. And even though they only kept my loved one for a couple of days and then kicked him out, she did show up on a weekend to be there. There were so many little things that were frustrating. They told me things they needed but not everything. So I spent two days running around getting things they hadn't specified. They refused to give my loved one his medications because the doctor hadn't signed his medication list. But they had never asked for a signature, just the list. I have to admit that my loved one had a medical condition and was very difficult. But if you're not used to taking care of people like that, you should be able to tell the family that you can't accommodate them upfront.

Our family had been pretty disappointed with the meals and dining service. the quality of the meals really need improvements. So more improvements can be with the activities, there could be more then what is being offered. Also the attention and care that comes directly from the med techs.

Our family had an in person tour and right off the bat we did not like the facility. The lady who worked with us was super friendly and helpful, but the facility was dark, cold and did not have a nice flow to it.

I requested no shoes without socks as my husband is diabetic. My request was NOT followed, and he developed ulcers on BOTH feet! Resulting in hospitalization. The staff was friendly, but there were a couple of times I had to request the room be cleaned!!

It's an okay community. I would most likely recommend another community to friends. The community isn't as informative as they could be. My loved ones felt like in the dark, and there wasn't a lot of explanation of the community and where to find things when they first moved in. I feel the staff aren't as attentive as they could be. My loved ones have waited at lengths for parts of their meals. The wait staff seems to ignore residents at times in the dining room. There have times the food has been cold, and the wait staff have offered to put it in the microwave to heat it up. The parking is horrible and not enough spaces for visitors and employees.

It was overly expensive for the amount of people they had here. It was not as clean and residents were not watched as much as i would have liked to have seen. They had a low staff to patient ratio.

The staff here are nice and friendly. I think communication needs to be improved, all the communication was always with activities or on covid, but it was not separated so we did not know what was going on on the memory care side. Our experience has been gated with covid because they did have an outbreak so I could not get a good picture of what was going on. My dad has Lewy body dementia, so if your loved one has that I would not recommend them for individuals who have that since it is so different than Alzheimer's.

I would tell others that there is new management. I think the facility is the best in its price point in the area. You just have to know that everybody has great descriptors, but the reality is it is a for profit business. If you really need a place I would recommend you check this place out, but it is not what we have hoped for.
