There is quite a bit of turnover in housekeeping. As a result, Cleaning and linens service is spotty. The quality of food has decreased markedly . The costs have risen several percent over the last year and a half. It's hard to get problems addressed. My wife is on memory care and I have had problems with medication's over there. I would never recommend this place.

We moved Mom in with high hopes, under a great deal of stress. The facility tries hard to live up to it's advertised standards (emphasis on tries). For the most part, the staff is caring and competent. There are frequent "sick outs" with no replacement staff. The short handedness shows in slow response time for assistance. The front desk staff are amazing! Unfortunately, the management is blatantly deaf to family or resident concerns. There have been a large number of staff family members hired in which cause a trickle down effect if one doesn't like you.

The staff are pleasant but they seem spread too thin. The facility has nice parts (the living room) and parts that seem old and tired (lobby, elevator, halls). The food seems ok, not great. I think they have had alot of turn over in the kitchen.

I would not recommend anyone to that facility. My mother d=fell 3 times, I paid for 8 visits from their CNA's but I did not get 8. I was with my mother more than once and after she pushed her button it took at least an hour to cone check on her never 8 visits. The medical nurse did not give my mother her antibiotics ordered by the emergency room doctor, I had to take her back to the hospital. On the weekends they only had 3 CNA workers to help over 100's of residence. After 13 days I took my mother out of there because they told me my mother did not hurt herself when she fell but I have pictures if injuries. They had good food and it was very clean

apparently a new management company took over right before she moved in and a lot of the residents are complaining about this. They made a lot of changes significantly and the dining room and food experience and it has gone downhill. My mom is already wanting to move

They are good, but not outstanding. Some staff are great and others are just there to get a paycheck. I would recommend considering the facility, but I would not tell anyone they should go there. The food is the best part of their service. The facility is oriented towards Assisted Living and not for invalid care. Hospice helps for some, but if your loved one is not very mobile, then careful consideration about this facility should be made.

Our careteam is better now that we have a new director. The menu has improved since the new director came but seems to have not enough vegatables and fruits-we are offrered too many carbs.

The reason we gave the overall experience a 3 is mostly due to lack of communication while on wait list. No issues with the cleanliness. The staff all have been helpful once we moved her in....she loves the dining staff. Quality of care doesn't really apply as she is in independent living. Mom is very satisfied with the meals .Guest meals are too expensive in my opinion . I'd like to see a few more activities that would interest my mom Not going to rate the value for cost as I have nothing to compare it to It is far more expensive than her expenses were living on her own, but seem comparable to other locations I visited. Overall my mother is very satisfied with her experience so far and has zero complaints

We picked this community because it was proximity to our house. We wouldn't refer them. And we're not alone. Other people have shared the same concerns we have.

The main value is resident safety. The downside is where residents spend most of their day- time, hours ie: in the two dining rooms. Where the atmosphere should be calm and restful, the opposite is the case. The two rooms are like echo chambers where speech is amplified. Noise from chairs being dragged across the floor bounces off the walls. The service of an acoustic specialist is needed. Putting rubber or plastic caps on the ends of two chair legs might help. Until the disruptive noise level is corrected, or at least some improvement made, care for residents will not rise above average.

We have moved my Mom to a new facility closer to family in Idaho. We really liked most of the staff, for the most part they were always friendly and helpful. Her room, bathroom and bedding weren't always cleaned on a regular basis. I think part of our opinion is influenced by the fact that Mom was a difficult, unhappy resident and was harder to deal with than some of the other residents.

The place sold us with the swimming pool and water aerobics along w the private sports instructor that you could hire to help with physical therapy. He also does stretching exercise class 5 days a week. The facility is pretty and it's close by my sister's house and work. The location is a big issue for us right now

My loved one is currently residing at Almond Heights Senior Living. They are not providing the care that we agreed on prior to moving my loved one in. They tried to raise her level of care as soon as she moved in, even though nothing had changed. They sent her to the hospital without letting me know until she was gone, and the hospital said there was no reason for her to have been sent there. I have been told that they won't give her anything that is not doctor prescribed, like vitamins or supplements, but the med techs say they do it all the time. Unorganized is not the correct word, but the head nurse and head caretaker seem to need to get on the same page with the staff. I was thinking about moving my loved one, but at her age, and her dementia is getting worse, I don't think she could handle that again.

My family and loved one have had an average experience with the community. It would be nice to have better staff communication with the family. There are meals and activities to assist with the residents socialization.

Activities need a major improvement. They are not very interesting and are basically boring and repetitive. The facility is a bit expensive. But worst rating is for the nursing care... We paid for 3 extra nursing services while there which they didn't fulfill. At this point, I would have to research more before deciding if I would recommend the facility.

Initially, leading up to signing the contract, the communication was positive. The salespeople were very good about responding to emails and questions. However, when it came time to sign the paperwork, they had put a higher room rental rate on our agreement. When asked about the higher rate the Executive Director, responded that it was the “market rate.” It was determined that our mother needed a fairly high level of care (level 5 out of 6) however, we never got the services we were paying for because they are so short staffed. During the sales process, we were shown one room, but as we were moving our mother in, they put her in a different room with less square footage. Classic bait and switch. There was no orientation, and no instruction as to how medical records should be incorporated

The Commons was my first choice before I went on any of the tours. The commons was stuffy and sterile - as if it were mass produced. We signed up for lunch that day but were not offered it when we arrived, and we got a tour guide who was less knowledgeable than I would expect after waiting a half hour. Rooms were bigger than other places though.

The community seemed to be in transition of the Executive Director position when we toured and they were friendly. There was a strong odor of disinfectant or cleaner during the tour.

We've had several issues here and I really feel like it comes down to leadership, accountability, and oversight. I've been trying to schedule a meeting with the executive director but we've been playing phone tag. Maintenance is slow to respond/make repairs. After asking several times, nothing gets done until I escalate it (missing lightbulbs, broken locks, broken fridge, etc). There was a fire in the unit above my loved one's unit. Right after that, they removed all of the smoke alarms in the building, I'm talking wires hanging from the ceiling where they used to be. It was like that for TWO weeks. After just having a fire, no smoke alarms for two weeks. I finally brought it to their attention and they installed new one's that next week. My loved one was in the hospital for a few days. I went to check on things and asked for a key. The staff told me that it was unlocked and to go ahead and go in. Her unit was left unlocked/unsecured (both the main and patio door) the whole time and it hadn't been cleaned. The food just looks like leftovers most of the time. One day I was there and for dessert they served stale, hard cinnamon rolls with cherry pie filling poured on top. The only reason I haven't moved my love one to another place is because she's made friends with other residents here and doesn't want to leave them. It's going to take some convincing, but I do plan to move her. At this point, I wouldn't recommend them to family and friends. There really needs to be some better management and follow through here. I'm just asking for effort at this point.

I absolutely loved this facility. I had it all set up and I wanted to move my loved one in here. I saw the staff interacting with the residents and there were many common areas for residents to socialize. The everyday staff were so friendly and caring. Unfortunately it fell through because the director refused to see me. I showed up and she told me I did not make an appointment and turned her back on me and walked away. It is a shame that she was so rude because we really loved everything about the place.
