Pleasant place. However, ALL the residents seems rather infirm. Units were exceptionally small and older...formica counters, white appliances, linoleum in kitchen & bath. Common areas OK, but not as extensive or luxurious as some. Views from rooms that faced the "green" areas were pretty. Didn't get a "warm & fuzzy" feel from the director; he seemed like he was going through the motions rather than truly interested in my Mom's care & my concerns.

I really liked Chancellor Gardens once we got there. We are now looking for Memory Care and the unit is beautiful. However, my mother-in-law needs a more intimate space then it provides.

Saw this (very nice) but the neighberhood isn't. In a bad part of town.(Thats too bad)

So far, this one is winning out in our vote. Very nice, larger rooms, good access to dining, life line included, services are about the same as others.

Doors lock in Memory care. Cash not managed. Lots of walks/outings, coy pond, gardens, arts/crafts, yoga, exercise. Hospice on premisis. Transportation: Tues/Thurs=Medical; Mon/Fri=USPS/shopping. Scenic drives.

They had a 1 bedroom on the main floor that I liked a lot, but there is no view. I asked to be put on a wait list for the same unit on a higher floor.

The place is nice and friendly. It is a little bit pricey but it's in a great area with lots of places for walking. The front desk lady is always kind to me.

We chose Savanna House because of the convenient location and the value for the money, they had a great deal going on at the time that we signed. Overall I would recommend them to others looking.

From what we can see our loved ones room and the common areas are kept very clean, and our loved one does not have to many problems with the meals, but for the value and what they charge the meals could be a little bit better. We would recommend the community to others.

I have no complaints about the tour I had of this community. All of the staff where friendly and helpful to my loved one and I during our tour and made sure to give us lots of great information as well as answer any questions we had for them. The building was nicely maintained and had a lot of great amenities available to all of the residents. I just found a better location for her in the end decision

This biggest positive to this place would have to be how tasty there meals are. I have had a couple of meals with my wife and was very pleased with them. The quality of care the staff provided for her physical needs was good but as far as the mental needs they lacked a little bit. I ended up moving her back home with me after five weeks of her staying there she was just not making much improvement.

The good: My mother has been at Chancellor Gardens for 2 ½ years. She is very involved in their community, and the staff is wonderful to her. They show her room to potential residents, and she greets newcomers. There are activities planned throughout the week, there are groups that meet to play cards, and church services are offered in the activity room. Chancellor transports residents to Wal-Mart to shop, and they have an out-to-lunch bunch that patronizes local restaurants. Chancellor has occasional bake sales (goodies baked by residents, friends, and families) and offer lunch (provided by Chancellor) to residents and neighboring businesses for a small donation. The money is donated to charity. Mom has made many good friends at Chancellor, including some terrific CNAs. However, here comes a bad—CNAs quickly move on to facilities that pay better. Mom pays a significant amount of money each month for rent and care (it increases every year, but services don’t improve), so I’d like to see the CNAs monetarily rewarded for tenure. Maybe that would help with turnover. More bad: Usually the food. It depends on who is cooking, but the quality of food is questionable. In all fairness, it improved recently after they dismissed one of the cooks. We bring food into mom quite often, or she makes something simple in her microwave. I know that mom has complained A LOT about the food, and people who won’t complain to management, complain to mom. Also, I wish Chancellor would be more responsive when mom asks for maintenance to her apartment, especially since they show it to potential residents. She has to pester them for action. The ugly: Understaffed, especially on weekends, plus the inability to keep trained CNAs. Mom needs assistance in and out of bed and when she uses the toilet. Just last week, she had to wait over 1 ½ hours for someone to respond to her signal for assistance. The CNAs were delivering food trays instead of responding to residents’ urgent needs. This is not the first, second, third, fourth time, and unfortunately, we know it won’t be the last. There is simply not enough people on site to help residents in a timely manner. Mom has taken it upon herself to make arrangements with certain CNAs or med-techs to schedule a time for them to help her to bed. Not every resident has formed that kind of relationships with the caregivers. However, many times, there is no one there that she trusts. New, untrained, CNAs have caused her to fall more than once. I would like to have Chancellor Gardens hold quarterly meetings with the families of their residents. Many residents are too timid to speak up during resident meetings, or are not totally aware of the care they receive. I think it would be beneficial to families to be given a forum where we can voice our concerns, as well as, offer our praise for what is done well. I also think it would be beneficial to Chancellor Gardens to hear about all the goods, the bads, and the uglies.

The community was really nice and set up good. The space in the rooms however were very small. The community did not have flexible meal times. Also I felt that this would not be a good fit for my loved one because they do not offer the kind of care my loved one needed. When your loved one turns into needing assistant care they are moved out of the building. The staff is very helpful though just not the place for us.

The facility is kept clean, the food is fair but the care staff could use more training for new employees. Over all we are pleased with this facility.

So far everything has been going good. Great staff.

We found ourselves needing a place for my wife's brother on very short notice. Cindy and her staff were the most responsive and friendly staff of the places that we reviewed. We moved forward with the placement and Gary loves being at Seven Lakes. He told us that he is busy and is "having a ball." Seven Lakes staff help us manage our brothers care through the Ft. Collins VA. As a result we are able to secure the benefits that our Vietnam veteran earned in service to our country.

Good overall...a little short staffed with caregivers...sometimes wait 15 minutes for them to respond to calls for care. New walk in tub but staff not trained to operate yet. Very friendly staff!

Not a full service senior community, more geared to mostly independent seniors. The assisted living option is pricey for what you get. The staff is great and the food is very good, but is a major portion of the monthly rental expense in my opinion and unforgiving/not flexible enough if missing 2 meals per day. Guests eat there very reasonably. Think the parking lot security for the residents is lacking. Also think the apartment is on the on small side and the trip from the bedroom to the bathroom was not well designed in the floor plan.
