Maplewood Senior Living

We moved our mom to Maplewood after 2 other facilities ... and our pleasure and relief at the difference is dramatic! Due to the progression of her Alzheimer's, she is between Assisted Living and Memory Care. MW and its staff view Alzheimer's on a spectrum, and have compassionately customized her care based on changing needs. This allows mom to be relatively autonomous as she joins activities, eats meals in the lovely dining room and walks around the place freely -- she feels known and above all SAFE. MW is spacious, clean and attractive. The medical care is top-rate and the food is fresh and delicious (we love joining her for meals!) Each day is full of activities -- from movies to Bingo to spiritual services to crafts to baking -- and there's an impressive array of live performance. Above all, the seasoned staff is truly happy to be there, and committed to the well-being of each resident. Many have become friends. There's no faking this! We are so grateful to be part of MW!

My father came to Maplewood after falling last spring. He always said he never wanted to leave his house, but he found the most amazing experience with the care that he receives at Maplewood - a perfect small community!

I visited Maplewood at Danbury for the first time in beginning of 2023. I was greeted at the door by the most friendliest concierge. She led me to the office of the Business Operations Manager, the one who was in charge of Assisted Living consumer needs. I was amazed by the professionalism she displayed and patience in answering all of my questions about the facility and its amenities. Thereon, I would visit Maplewood regularly to check-in with family members, and eventually I became integrated with the wonderful staff as well. They always treated the residents with meticulous care and extended that tenderness to the visitors. I am more than satisfied with my visits at Maplewood and would highly recommend to anyone who is in need of such services!

What our family likes the most about the Maplewood at Southport community is the different family celebrations they have going on as well as the different activities they have going on for the residents, there. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

They are friendly, and helpful. I really have no complaints. They are little things but nothing that bothers me that much.

I love Maplewood Strawberry Hill because the activities coordinators do a great job of constantly reminding me what time it is and which activities are about to begin.

I like it here. The food is very good and the people who work here always seem happy and hard working. My family visits me often as there are no visiting, hours so relatives come and go as they please.
