Maplewood Senior Living

Mom has been at Maplewood of Chardon for almost 2 years. The kindness and caring of most of the staff has met or exceeded my expectations. The facility itself is beautiful! I loved taking Mom to the gathering space in front where we could talk and enjoy a cup of coffee near the fireplace. I appreciated the family meetings in the hospitality room to keep us informed of what’s happening in the facility. I also appreciated the holiday events and the music and entertainment they provide on a regular basis. One of our favorite places was the outdoor patio in the summer. I would highly recommend Maplewood of Chardon to anyone needing assisted living!

Strawberry Hill is a warm place, the employees are very nice, it's filled with beautiful fresh flowers, adding to the ambiance. It's a very friendly place where most residents are active and enthusiastic.

It's beautiful here, staff is friendly, food is okay, I don't have to cook! Love the view from my apartment. Love reading outside on the patio when it's nice out.

I recently moved into Maplewood this year and enjoy everything they have to offer. The team at the building does great work from the culinary to care. I could not imagine living anywhere else at this point in my life!

Residing at Maplewood of Danbury has been nothing but a wonderful experience. I appreciate everything they offer me from care to accommodations with my daily activities. Also, the cleanliness is outstanding!

Currently a resident at Maplewood at Danbury, the place which I call home now is everything I could ask for. The staff and care are top notch they all go the extra mile to make me satisfied. I also really enjoy the meals throughout the day!

Maplewood at Darien is a beautiful property, very welcoming and homey. All the public rooms are beautifully decorated and modern. My aunt is a resident and she enjoys the pub, sunroom, and back garden/patio. Her studio apartment is small but comfortable and perfect for her needs, a true home away from home. There are services and varied activities each day for residents. They often go out on the town for lunch or scenic drives. The food is pretty good and the dining room is lovely and very clean! The staff is friendly and very kind and caring, always willing to help with whatever is needed. Other than being a bit pricey, overall we are very pleased with her new "home".

Everything is good. They need more help in the dining room.

Management open to helping resolve issues. Requests answered in a timely manner. Only criticism- making sure paperwork is up to date.

I'm very happy and satisfied at this community. All of the employees are helpful and happy. I would subject and recommend anyone to live here.

I really enjoy the music programs

When you first enter Maplewood In Brewster you may think you’re in a fine resort. The facility is beautiful, the staff is very accommodating and welcoming and there are many amenities and activities to participate in. Notable is the wonderful dining facility and outstanding staff. Everyone from the first day knows your name and your needs. Unfortunately they were a little bit understaffed and dropped the ball a few times with the care of the residents. My husband loves the facility and has been treated with the upmost respect and care. I would highly recommend this facility and the only negative that I have experienced has been communication timeliness and ease of communicating with the wellness staff. A recent move from assisted-living to memory care was very positive and I think a better fit for my husband for the care that he needs. This review is based on the care that he received for three months in assisted-living

Best part is that it's close to where my loved one was living. We also liked that we were able to lock in a monthly rate regardless of required care level. Maplewood is a very nice, clean facility.

Lovely staff Kind and thoughtful

She had a brain injury and I am a friend taking care of her and her. They are working to get her on the right medications. They are in a beautiful facility, she has taken some steps back once she moved into Maplewood. The apartments are lovely, If I could live there I certainly would. Very many amenities.

It is a lovely, new facility. They are very eager to help you. But like most facilities, they have very limited staff. It's an assisted living facility, but you have to be very careful on understanding what's told to you during the tour and how rates and care plans are managed once your loved one is in there. The nursing care is excellent. The food is excellent. The facility is clean. But the day-to-day interactions that the aides have with the residents have could be more tailored. Its a one-size-fits all approach, yet the residents have various levels of interest for things they want to be doing in the facility, which aren't necessarily catered to.
