Maplewood Senior Living

I thought it was a really nice facility, maybe a little too nice for our loved one's taste. They also seemed to concentrate more on memory care, so a lot of the residents were more impaired than our loved one. Because of that, I didn't feel he would have had as much opportunity for the social interactions we were wanting him to experience.

We did a virtual tour of this community and the staff was very friendly and informative. They followed up with us and answered all of our questions

My parents at the Maplewood really enjoy the food there they say it is really good, and we would recommend this community to others.

All in all given everything that has been going on, they have been doing a pretty good job

My Mom was at Maplewood at Stony Hill for several years. I found it to be a wonderful safe place for her to spend some quality time. She was very happy there, staff was great and she loved the "restaurant " where she had her meals. When Moms dementia got to the point where she was wondering, I wanted her to be safe. A nursing home was not an option for a healthy 90+ year old. She enjoyed the many activities, socializing and being with others with the same issues. Thank goodness I found Maplewood!

I would tell my friends that if you want assisted living or independent living it is a fabulous place. The food is superb and and the community is beautiful. The staff is friendly. There has been a high turnover of staff in the past year. We have had 3 memory care directors in a year. Which effects follow up and follow through. COVID has prevented me to see how our loved one is, and the staff is having to act as the family. Due to COVID, I am not able to see my loved one, and follow up for answers with the medical staff. The facility's response to COVID with the procedures they have put into place, and the communication around COVID has been excellent.

Great setting, caring staff, good food. The selection of residence is not even in their stage of illness. Maybe a redistribution of residents based on their level between other Maplewood facilities could produce more productive environment.

This community is very intimate and cozy. Perfect for those with early memory impairment challenges, as the building is easy to navigate. The team is professional to work with, and shows a great deal of care for its residents

In general, the community is clean, although the memory care section was a little less so. Just walking in, the place appears to be clean and they do a good job maintaining the the community itself and it really is quite beautiful. The grounds are quite pretty as well and kept up well. The staff is pretty friendly. Depending on the level of care, there are varying levels of support. The staff is caring and careful especially compared to the rehab where my mother briefly stayed. The food and activities are also pretty good. Definitely a good value for the price given the care they are providing, although it is a bit on the expensive side. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been great about communicating with us about what is going on in the community and what they are doing to protect the residents. We feel like we are treated as family here.

Brand New place opened in July. The staff is very competent. Rooms are good size, they do your laundry a couple times a week and keep the rooms clean. I had my practice in Westport and wanted to stay in this community, I am still active in the community. It is in a good area, good location for me.They have a lot of different activities, lectures and other entertainment. There is always something to do here.

Nice clean and new facility. Great presentation. Staff cordial. I like the atmosphere and setting. On the pricey side but close to home.

We really liked Maplewood. The tour was well thought out and executed. The facility was cozy and welcoming. The surrounding are lovely and wooded. The apartments are really nice and there is ALOT of common areas.

My wife has been living at Maplewood for year and half now. She was diagnosed with rare form of Alzheimer's about 5 years ago and after few years of home care and Day Care we got to the point that she needed to be under specialty care, needed help with all functioning. I scouted number of facilities in the area. Maplewood at Twinsburg certainly stood out on ambience, environment, design of facility and amenities. Private rooms with convenient access to the shower, everything was brand new. I was impressed by open kitchen design, two enclosed courtyards. Over the time my wife being there staff was always accommodating to her needs, reacting properly on her unfortunately slowly deteriorating condition. I am visiting her almost every day and established good understanding and cooperation with the medical staff and activities personnel. Staff turnover is unfortunate, The other improvement may be needed is in data sharing and general communication between personnel to be upgraded to more modern, electronic ways. I believe that they are working toward that. Overall I am happy that chose this facility for my wife.

We toured this community for my mother in law, and her needs. The tour went well overall. Everyone was kind to my family, and I. However this was not the right fit for her, and her needs. We did find another community that suited her needs better.

This community seems to offer some nice amenities and pets are allowed. The community looked clean and the staff we met were friendly. This community only offers respite stays for thirty or more days.
