Maplewood Senior Living

They understand dementia and the memory impaired. If there are any issues, they are easy to work with and want to make any needed improvements. Everyone was very nice and helpful, bent over backwards from the start. They did whatever they could to get my Dad engaged and out of his bed, which is where he has spent the majority of the last 10 years, literally. When I visit him, he is never in his room or in his bed! They know how to deal with dementia, which my Dad had severely now, unfortunately. He is now technically in hospice care, after falling and the hospital did a CT scan and found a mass in his throat/neck area, in his lymph nodes. I was going to move him, but Maplewood assured me that they can continue to care for him, and the staff there is working well with Hospice. I am certain that I made the right decision. They communicate very well with the families. They call me whenever there is anything I should be aware of. My Dad has been in 2 other facilities prior to Maplewood, and that was not the case.

It has been great. Mom has adjusted and actually agrees she likes it. She was very hostile going in so this speaks volumes!Getting cable to work and getting the phone hooked up upon moving in, could have been smoother. I wish there was a central phone service.

My husband (on hospice care) has been at Maplewood for 4 months. I learned the importance of being his advocate and keeping an eye on things. The staff are overall good and competent but very busy. The new management is addressing issues with staffing and cleanliness as well as communication with families.

Cleanliness...I would give them a 5...very clean...smells good. I would give them a 5...the aides...the nurses...even the house keeping always say hello. When it comes to the activities, my Dad doesn't do any. Price just went up [fee removed] a month. I do think the food could be a little better or more care can come when a different entree is ordered. Overall we are happy w the care my Dad receives. There are many nice aides and nurses. I think as long as you visit your loved one and are involved in their care you will be happy w Maplewood.

Staff is great, nurses, lifestyle etc. Trivial pursuit, family parties, reading encouraged. service dogs welcomed/ petting zoo :)

I like being with other people. I like being able to walk outside and love walking in the outdoor courtyard area in the center of the building. I like going out in the van, especially on 6A.

When searching for an assisted living community for my Mother, we visited six senior facilities. We wanted my Mother to have a voice in where she would live and she selected Maplewood Senior Living of Cuyahoga Falls. The most impressive attribute of Maplewood is their H.E.A.R.T. Philosophy — Humor, Empathy, Autonomy,Respect and Trust. This active, engaging community employs staff who embrace this philosophy with kindness, patience and understanding and who are firmly committed to attending to the needs of all of the residents in their charge. Monthly rent is inclusive of room, board and daily amenities ( Cable, internet, etc) This makes it easier to budget expenses by taking the mystery of what the bill will be at the end of the month. The staff is well trained, consistent, professional and polite.My Mother has been happy at Maplewood, making new friends, trying new activities, and most of all feeling safe.

My husband and I are currently residents at Maplewood at Princeton and everything has been very good for us at this facility so far. The cleanliness, friendliness and staff are great. The care services, meals, activities and value for cost are good. Sometimes they are short staffed, but I think that is probably industry wide. Overall, we are very satisfied. I would recommend Maplewood at Princeton to others.

Most of the people working here exhibit great passion for their work and compassion for the residents.

My wife is a resident in the Memory Unit. I had some health issues and moved into the residence a couple of months ago. It is a beautiful facility with leadership that is caring and professional. They have the usual staffing problems.

My experience at Maplewood has been nothing but positive. The staff, surroundings, nurses, are all great.

I am a new resident I find the facility lives up to expectations in amenities, programs, staffing, competence and diversity of fellow inhabitants. At this time I have no regrets.

It is hard to really say what we liked most about the community or possible areas they could improve on because our loved one was only there for about a week before she passed away. However the staff members were friendly.

My mom lives at Maplewood at Princeton. The facility is very clean. The food is good. The staff is very nice, but overworked. You definitely have to keep an eye on what's going on and advocate for your family member who is there. I like that it is small-easy to get to know the staff and the residents. I would recommend this facility to friends and family.

basically my 5.5 year residence here has been satisfactory.

Our family had an in person tour with Maplewood at Orange and we thought the facility and activities seemed nice, but the director did not provide a brochure or explanation of pricing breakpoints. I do have someone whose mom is at Maplewood and her mom and their family is very happy.

Beautiful courtyard/garden area. Some great staff, some OK staff, no poor or offensive staff. Best care results if the family member is proactive and asks lots of questions. Some mildly disruptive residents were allowed to stay in Tides too long, should have been moved to the secure memory care area. Seemed the most expensive facility in an area where everything is expensive. Billing was not fully reliable, had to check the #s.

Moved in last October. Mail service staff is friendly but slow. Description of meals is not always accurate. For example, prime rib was really meatloaf. I have waited over 30 minutes after the order was placed.

Family members should stay on top of what the resident needs and follow up with the care team to make sure it happens. Some things can fall through the cracks. They offer activities such as; Book club, movie night, games. The meal times are very social. I would recommend to other families.

The tour was fine. I thought it was a lovely place and found nothing objectionable about it. I preferred a location that was closer to me. Also, the person who gave the tour never got back to me when I reached out after the tour. It didn't seem like she cared that much or was very invested, which was a red flag to me.
