Even though my husbands stay at Maplewood was short, we could feel the connection being made between patients, and staff immediately. We sensed the compassion given to our beloved [name removed] until the moment our Lord came for him. We came to Maplewood not knowing anyone but left with all of you becoming members of our family. We know it takes a special person, to do what you do daily, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You were a part of [name removed] most difficult days of life here on earth but you also made this time easier for him and our family. Thank You so much.

I've got the chance to visit this great property and talk to the executive team there. They helped to give me a thorough tour and I have the chance to see how happy and peaceful when the residents are living there. When I talk to the team, I could feel that they care the residents genuinely.

Maplewood at Stony Hill is a wonderful place! Our family was looking for a nice place for my husband who has early onset dementia. We were impressed with Maplewood the minute we visited. The fact that it is a memory care facility hit home for us because we did not want him to be in a place that did not know how to care for or understand dementia residents. Maplewood gets it!! The staff is great. They are both caring and knowledgeable. I find it amazing that they can get to know the residents as well as they do (the good and not so good parts) LOL! The food is great and residents are always given a choice. If the resident does not want either choice that is on the menu there is always a substitute available (for my husband its usually PPJ or BLT). Maplewood at Stony Hill is an aesthetically beautiful place. The people that work there are equally as beautiful inside and out. They should be commended for what they do, it is not easy. Staff here are amazing!!! Thank you all!!

I give them 5 stars all the way around. The staff is fabulous and the facility is sparkling clean. Our family member we moved here was angry and irritated before. She is now so calm and happy and I really believe it is from the environment as well as the staff, I give them major credit. Here in the memory care unit they actually take the residents out on the van to parks and other places and we really like that. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

Toured memory care very impressed with the staff. Residents were engaged not just sitting. The outside park was inviting.

Beautiful building, reception very welcoming. Upon tour, residents were in the upscale salon receiving nail and hair services.

Maplewood at Brewster has been fantastic regarding Assisted Living for my mother. She had lived in assisted living for the past five years. My mother was well cared for and kept safe during the most difficult times this past year. The nurses at Maplewood got to know my mother and her needs. They were supportive, knowledgeable, and kind. I completely trusted their care, compassion, support, and love for her. Maplewood is a beautiful facility Her apartment was sunny with high ceilings. The maintenance staff was fantastic and fast when anything needed to be fixed. The dining room is a beautiful space for the residents to be together and eat. There are always many options for eating, and the food was delicious. The staff is truly fantastic, from the dining room servers to the daily concierge. They all took the time to get to know my mother and make personal connections with her. I am so grateful to all of the staff at Maplewood of Brewster.

I recommend Maplewood very highly. love it there. Everyone is so wonderful and helpful in answering your questions. They don't give you a line of baloney - they just tell you how it is. They have all sorts of activities, anything you would21` want to do. It's expensive, but still a good value, especially compared to what other places are charging. It's just a wonderful place.

We chose Maplewood at Twinsburg because of their experience with the elderly and dementia care. The staff were all very friendly, the facility itself was clean, and they had many activities provided throughout the days for the residents. We liked that the staff seemed well trained and that they do not use agency staff.

[name removed] has been such an incredible gift to our family and the care of our dad, [name removed]. She’s not only highly skilled in what she does, but patient, personable, upbeat and truly caring about the overall wellness of our dad and the other Maplewood residents. She continually goes above and beyond and has been such a mainstay and steady presence in our Dad’s day to day living, through the death of our mom, the pandemic, and the ups and downs of what it means to be 91. We consider [name removed] an integral part of Dad’s overall health AND to the Maplewood experience. She is a treasure.

Last [date removed] we made the decision to move my mom into the memory care section of Maplewood at Southport. The facility has beautifully designed spaces, fireplaces, open kitchens, elegant dining rooms set with fresh linens and flowers, beautiful outdoor gardens, water features, courtyards and comfortable areas to sit and relax. Of course, support for Mom has been very important to us. [name removed] , [name removed] and management helped transition Mom into Maplewood seamlessly. [name removed], RN has guided us through all of Mom’s medical issues. [name removed] and [name removed] plan numerous interesting and enriching activities for the residents each day. The aides, nurses, housekeepers, cooks and people at the front desk are always helpful, positive and friendly. The care provided to mom has far exceeded our expectations in every way.

My 98 year old mother is in a wheelchair & has been in Maplewood for 3 years. Due to her wonderful & placid nature, she is an easy resident to care for. But, any issues are immediately addressed by staff, from aides, to Wellness, to maintenance, to front desk, to the Executive Director. a very caring and most supportive Manager. His door is open to any issue we have- as my brother and I don’t live in the Boston area, we entrust our mother’s life, well-being, medical help etc to the Executive Director and his able staff. From making sure that my mom is always accounted for, to raising her sink to make it more accessible for her daily routine, to activating her cellphone, to building a ramp so she can easily go on and off her porch, to giving her extra help in her kitchen area- these are some of the things that Maplewood staff do for my mom on an everyday basis. Maplewood works for my mom due to superb management, oversight and professionalism.

It's a very nice facility. My brother is younger and has gone there for respite care not expected to go beyond a few months. It has been a very good experience. The facility is very clean. The staff is very supportive and attentive. I really don't have bad things to say about it. The only thing I wouldn't give particularly high marks to is the food - it's just is okay.

We reviewed, visited and did background checks on all the well known residential care homes in the area before entering into dialogue with Leslie at Maplewood. Following initial conversations and visits, my Aunt moved in [date removed]. After a year I’ve nothing but positive feedback to give about the level of care, friendship and support provided at Maplewood, Darien. During [date removed] I was able to visit and witness everything for myself. The overall environment is lovely, very clean, modern, homely and welcoming. The staff are excellent, each and every one always taking the time to smile, acknowledge and speak to the residents, so important for their well-being. There are many interesting and engaging activities, so always something to keep everyone engaged. Priority one is does my Aunt appear happy living there, answer definitely yes. On returning from a trip out, she marches straight back in without looking back, happy to be “home”. My thanks to everyone at Maplewood Darien.

We're really happy with Maplewood at Brewster. My loved ones have adjusted pretty well. I would highly recommend it to anybody. I think everybody is having problems finding enough employees right now, but really the only place you notice it at Maplewood is they could use more people in the dining room. But they provide terrific care. All the staff are lovely. The food is delicious. It's expensive, but I think it's a good value. It's a very nice place - clean and modern.

We were surprised that my loved one enjoyed the community as much as they did. My loved one seems to be more stimulated mentally than when they were at home. There have been friendships made at the community since my loved one joined the community. My loved one seems to enjoy the meals. There is a menu for the residents to choose from for lunch and dinner. They are accommodating for breakfast items. The staff are good to work with. The aide that works with my loved one is very good, Natalie's personality is great! The only concern is that the nurse sometimes forgets to respond to the family. Once we get ahold of the nurse she is good to speak with about our loved one. The monthly rate includes housekeeping, laundry, the room, all the meals, and utilities. The only extra charge that we pay for is for my loved one to get their hair done, and the internet service.

A very nice community. The food, and staff were excellent. This was too far from family to visit.

[name removed] likes the physical attraction, the natural beauty, and the ability to roam free outside. she appreciates how kind, active, and helpful our team is. "the kitchen, they're sacred. they have to handle a lot, but they try their best." she values how people work together here, especially when it comes to problem solving.

place is beautiful, staff is professional. it's a community I have come to love.

moved in when building opened, [name removed] initially didn't want to leave home. [name removed] fell in love with the architecture; [name removed] smiled and he said "it looks great." Maplewood provides living space to seniors who are still cognitively present. "I never felt like anyone was talking down to us." [name removed] reads her activities list every day because she wants to be present and active, and spend time with our residents and staff.
