Maplewood Senior Living

I recently toured Maplewood at Darien on behalf of a friend. I was really impressed with the entire plaice. It felt like walking into an intimate hotel. The staff were very attentive and kind. The residents seemed engaged and active - more like a club than a senior care facility. I saw several different activities going on - exercise, art and I think a game. Everyone seemed busy doing things. I loved the dining room. I'm sure everyone enjoys eating at a table set with tablecloths, real china and cutlery. They even get wine! I was able to visit several rooms and liked the layouts. Definitely arrange a visit to see for yourself! A perfect place for a family member! They won't feel that they've been abandoned. I had a real sense that everyone working there found great pleasure in caring for their residents.

Our mom has Alzheimers and couldn't live alone anymore. She rented a house for the last 14 years and was able to live alone until June She is 90. There is great care at Maplewood She eats 3 meals a day which didn't happen before. The staff has been wonderful. She participates in some activities, but she doesn't remember most things. I would recommend Maplewood to everyone.

They are a professional caring staff. The place was clean and pleasant. Therapists and doctors were top-notch and gave great care with compassion. The food quality was great, delicious and brought to you warm.

Service was unmatched at a difficult time.

During the peak of covid my mother fell and broke 2 bones in her back. Maplewood took her in kept her safe from covid as she recovered. The staff was professional caring and communicated everything in great detail. We greatly appreciate everyone at Maplewood for doing such a great job.

Maplewood at Southport looked great and a good option. Based on the surface and what we saw. That does not pertain to the activities/food/quality of care etc. because we do not have a loved one there. I thought my aunt would be a better fit at another facility though.

From the first day we came to get information about Maplewood, we knew it was the place for our loved one. It was recommended by a friend that had their family member there, and it was clean, upbeat, and most of all friendly. All were very friendly. Our family member came from a facility that left her in bed most of the time, we were guaranteed this would not happen--and it did not, even though she could be very stubborn. The food was wonderful, the care wonderful and the surroundings great. We felt like family when we stopped by to visit. I felt bad when she passed away, because I liked Maplewood so much.

The staff at Maplewood at Twinsburg are phenomenal! My brothers and I have been so pleased with our mom's personal and professional care during her entire four year stay. We've loved the engaging family oriented activities from the end of the summer celebration picnic with outdoor entertainment, to special holiday festivities, to special outings for the residents. Everyone was especially empathic and supportive as our mom transitioned to hospice and passed peacefully with family at her bedside.

My grandmother was in the maplewood at cuyahoga falls facility recovering from the coronavirus and she had a pleasant stay. She was able to recover comfortably with around the clock care and physical therapy.

Mom has resided at Maplewood in the Currents neighborhood for a year. I have been very impressed by the dedication of the entire staff, their caring, and devotion to the comfort, happiness, and care of the residents. We regularly take meals with Mom when we visit, so we know that the food is tasty, nutritious, and elegantly served. She is always well dressed and clean when we visit, and her room is kept impeccably. We know many of the staff by name, and always find them gracious and friendly, from concierge to activities director, to nurses, they all seem to love their work. The activities are thoughtfully chosen to enhance memory and physical activity and while there have been some Covid cases, they've been well handled. We chose Maplewood after touring several places and interviewing staff there and were impressed by Maplewood from the first. We are very grateful and have not been disappointed. It is the best place for Mom.

Very clean facility, great people, and the nursing situation is very good. Good food and friends!

I love it here, the people are wonderful. I loved it the minute I came here! I feel 100% sure this is the right place for me to be.

Loved seeing the activities between the heated pool, fitness center, and the movie room.

Maplewood at Brewster is a wonderful community. The staff is loving and gets to know every resident very well. My mother was in another facility before Maplewood and the weekend staff there was not very good. We love all the staff here- weekends included!

I have been a resident since this facility opened. The staff is well trained and caring. Having visited similar facilities I can say the activities program here could not get any better. It has something for everyone. The food service, despite current supply chain problems, provides a 5 star dining experience.

My father has been a resident at Maplewood for many years. The staff loves and cares for my dad and it is evident in everything they do. I have always been happy with Maplewood's care of my dad. During Covid, I was even more appreciative of the Maplewood. Covid was a very difficult time for everyone but especially for families who have someone in assisted living. Not being able to visit my dad was very hard but I knew he was in great hands with the Maplewood community. They were in constant contact with me and when I spoke with my dad he was always well cared for. As soon as they were able, they had window visits, zoom visits, outside visits, anything they could do in order for families to see their loved ones. Now that Covid restrictions have lessened, the Maplewood is back to having wonderful opportunities for families to come and celebrate holidays. These celebrations are so lovely and a great time. I am so appreciative of all the Maplewood staff and their care of my dad.

Maplewood at Brewster has great amenities and vast selection of daily experiences for all residents to enjoy. Professional and caring staff and many go above and beyond to assist the residents with their care and wellness needs. It’s a safe, comfortable and well run Community.

Exceptional customer service and excellent communication . Excellent tour, very well maintained facility, amazing dining room. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. I would recommend to others!

Our family had an in person tour and we thought this community was absolutely wonderful and very lovely, what it came down to was just price and location for our family
