Maplewood Senior Living

I can only say this about the staff at Maplewood. I truly believe they have a "calling" - it's not just a job to them. I recently went through a health problem - and the loving care from them was exceptional!

This journey started [date removed]: starting in current community until sudden death of my husband. For that year, the love, care, and compassion overwhelming. The new journey for me to vista community is exactly the same. I feel blessed to be here - Maplewood-Chardon.

Many activities, staff is excellent and covers work when someone is absent. Meals could be improved. Our apartments are cleaned weekly. Staff is outgoing, friendly, smiles a lot, and willing to help. This is what we were looking for.

My mom has been living at Maplewood for almost two years. She has Alzheimer's and had a difficult transition to assisted living. At Maplewood, she has the care of some of the best nurses ever! The activities team is outstanding - mom now looks forward to spending time OUT of her room with her friends and doing activities. Last week I was bringing mom back after an appointment, she said, "I'm glad to be back home." It gives me peace of mind to know she is comfortable, safe and well cared for at Maplewood.

Family member has been at Maplewood at Stony Hill for three years. The care she has received has been consistently outstanding throughout the years . We highly recommend this facility for anyone requiring memory care.

Since my wife became a resident of Maplewood at Darien’s Memory Care, there has been a consistent and thoughtful approach to her daily routine. My wife's safety and care - and that of all the residents - are clearly and always top of mind for the staff at Maplewood. Maplewood’s organization and single-minded pursuit of treating all residents with compassion and respect is evident every single day. My visits, while never on a schedule, always elicit the same observation, that everyone from the Executive Director and Directors of Resident Services, Nursing and Currents Program through all the associates, take their responsibilities very seriously. Their care is both responsive and proactive. It begins as the residents wake up and start their day, and continues through three meals and snacks, stimulating activities throughout the day, and ends with bedtime supervision and assistance.

Our loved one moved to Mill Hill two months ago and has been very well cared for from the start. The staff are friendly, attentive, prompt and caring. Mike enjoys the dining room and cuisine. His studio apartment is just the right size fir him with a modern, roomy bathroom. The unit is light, bright and overlooks a pond. Above all, he feels safe, secure and very happy overall. Thank you to the Mill Hill staff for taking such good care of Mike!

As a family caregiver, you never want to have to place your loved into a facility against your mother's wishes. However, after a fall and difficulty finding 24-hour care a year ago, we had to make the difficult choice to move our mother. It is a daunting process and we all have a vision of what a "nursing home" looks like. Maplewood made it easy through their understanding and sensitivity. Our family, including Mom, couldn't be happier with Maplewood at Stony Hill. It is a "match made in heaven". Our mother loves the kind and attentive staff, the food, the continuous attention, the pampering and over all caring community, from the top down. Often we arrive to see Mom with a smile on her face doing her favorite Sunday morning pass time: tea in hand, reading her New York Times and watching the birds in the bright sun room after a wonderful brunch. The whole family is thrilled with the care she is receiving and do not question our choice for a second.

The entire team at Maplewood Orange turned a very difficult journey into one embraced with confidence and comfort in knowing we were making the right choice in having our 92 year old mom become a resident there just a few months ago. The size, setting, and staff were welcoming, accommodating, and committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for my mom and for us. The care team of nurses, aides, memory care, recreation, dining, work together in understanding each residents needs to ensure they are cared for in the most compassionate and engaging way. The variety of activities have allowed our mom to become more active and social which has made a difference in her overall physical and mental health. I have found all of the team to be responsive and proactive in addition to having an open-to-listen on questions and concerns. We feel like part of family here at Maplewood!

The facility is clean and comfortable, and all the staff provided wonderful care for my mother-in-law during her several-week rehab stay after an injury. She said the food was good and she felt very cared for.

Maplewood goes the extra mile in giving care to loved ones and family members. The homey atmosphere and delicious food really makes a difference when you are leaving your loved ones in their hands. You feel comfortable and confident that they are taken care of. Thank ?? you!!

Beautiful community! Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Spacious apartments and very clean. Beautiful dining room and the menu looked amazing. I enjoyed spending time touring discharge a beautiful community.

Maplewood at Orange is a fantastic community. My Mom has been living in their assisted living for 3 years. The apartments are spacious and bright, the staff is more than accommodating. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Maplewood at Darien is a welcoming and friendly place. The staff is professional and caring and knows everyone by name. The residents are treated with respect and made to feel at home.. Maplewood offers daily fun and interesting activities - there is something for everyone. The food is very good and served in a beautiful dining room replete with white tablecloths. It is a real community.

We were lucky enough to be referred by our doctor to Maplewood at Brewster. My mother is 86 and was not eating properly and was unsteady in the shower. She loves living there and we have the peace of mind that she's safe.

As much as we wish our mom could still be living independently in her condo it’s just not an option. We would love to care for her on our own but unfortunately that is not an option as well. With that being said she is truly at the best place she could be. They treat her like she is one of their own family members and that is such a relief to us. Our experience at Maple wood Cuyahoga Falls has been overall a very positive experience. Our mom is happy and content and for that we are very thankful. The building is well kept and always clean. The meals are very good with many different varieties Maintenance is always there to help when needed as well. I would definitely recommend Maplewood to anyone who has a loved one who needs care.

We cannot say enough good things about the all whole Maplewood Darien Team. They truly get to know each resident and are so incredibly tuned into each one and are so caring. There is very little turnaround with employees which is key so that there really is a bond between the residents and the whole Maplewood team. It truly is a 2nd family. Thank you Maplewood Darien

I am very happy. We are busy every moment. They never leave us alone. The staff is fantastic. They all know what we are doing. They make it feel like familiy.

My wife and I came here a few years ago. My wife transferred to another floor, for treatment/observations and was treated 100 percent as a patient.

When Mom broke her hip, we had to have aides around the clock at her home. It did not work out well, and we searched for an appropriate home for Mom. Maplewood has been an outstanding experience on every level, and our Mother now calls MW home. I highly recommend MW to anyone seeking a perfect place to have a parent reside.
