They were having problems with hiring people and keeping them. The staff always polite and explained situations that according to the new ownership.

There is not a nurse on duty 24 hours a day, periods of the day patients are left with untrained caregivers. If you inquiry about a matter, it takes asking management 3 times (months) before you get an answer. Staff turnover is very high. Facility has caller ID and staff choose the calls they wish to answer. Staff never calls you back when messages are left. Residents are hand picked for activities to be photographed for Facebook page. Facility is small and residents get a private room, just may not come with toilet paper.

I would give 0 if I could. This is the worst Place ever. I would tell others to not take a loved one there. I took my loved one out after only 3 weeks time and they still charged us for the next month.

I've given Osprey Manor in Lakeland FL of few tries. I just moved from a studio to a two bedroom. There was an extra charge of $[removed] bucks, couldn't tell you what it is/was for nor could management, but I had to pay it. I was told my apartment would be ready [date removed]. It wasn't. I moved in not knowing that the bathroom shower plumbing wasn't usable. Still waiting on the shower repair. The bathroom vent works sometimes. It's been a few days since I had a bath, about 8 days. I submitted 10 maintenance work orders as their policy to get stuff corrected in a workmanlike manner. No calls, text or emails. Tomorrow the bug man is scheduled. No public relations at all, especially after I paid big money.

Every service needs improvement. All have significantly declined since I've been here.

This facility does not communicate with the family when they send the resident to the hospital... They don't take responsibility for the lack of communication. They owe my mother a refund! it has been well over 2 months since we moved her to a new location. The Executive Director told me, in writing, I would receive a refund for the 10 days left in the month of August by check and within 45 days... we are well over 60 days now and she won't even reply to my emails. I advised her in my last email that I would now put a review on line. Communication is KEY! All she had to do is respond to my emails and follow up with me. I would not bring your loved one to this facility.

Facility is constantly changing all levels of staff. Would not recommend this facility or any others for dementia care. MY HUSBAND HAD 24/7 CARE ( myself or my daughters)were in the facility around the clock in order for him to get the care that he deserved. Most, if any, other facilities would permit that.

every one of these are a 1 or less in our opinion. We are not happy having Mom here at all, but she can't afford any other place. She also likes it here because she isn't cognitive enough to know the difference. To her she is home. There have been days where the staff, (SOME) are nice, and days where Mom's room is clean. But overall its been a very bad experience for our family. They have lost so many of Mom's clothes, staff had stolen her things and ruined her laundry. They leave her dirty clothes in her closet until it all smells like urine. The new director is a tyrant whom we despise! Her staff are leaving because of her attitude and rules. So I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I recently moved my Mother [name removed], to [community name removed] due to not providing all cares, poor food and preparation and serving it, Activities and activities department head, [name removed], was great. She did not get extra help that she needed. I give 1 for all categories , except activities, [name removed].

They are short staffed and the staff could care less about the residents. I saw several people go from very active to not active at all. There's no activities or exercise for the residents in the building my father was in. He was walking with a walker and they forced him to sit in his chair and not get up. After a couple of weeks he couldn't walk at all. I took him out and he died 2 months after he left there. The care was horrible and the smart [remode]attitude of most of the staff was terrible. One of the workers told me some other stuff that had went on. He said they were all about profit. They don't have special diet for diabetes like their brochure said. They were giving my dad all carbs, sweet drinks and desserts. I also talked to the main director that's over 3-4 facilities in Florida. One was in Maitland. He sounded concerned but did nothing. My father kept falling in the bathroom and I finally discovered why. The floor was very slick like something had been sprayed on it. I poured a whole bottle of rubbing alcohol on it and scrubbed and it was still slick. The room was fine. It was the same type floor. They weren't concerned at all and did nothing to fix the issue. I can go on and on about this place. One day a nurse and another employee got into a shouting match as the residents waited on their lunch to be served. They were screaming at each other. One nurse kept telling me my father wasn't going to live long and I should just not be concerned about his care. She told me that twice. He was doing fine when she told me that. Their lack of care definitely affected his health and I feel absolutely terrible for putting him there. The cost to move someone is expensive. Just to get in was $[removed] non refundable and I would have had to pay that to move him somewhere else. That makes it hard to move someone if you don't have the money. I'd like to see assisted living to be non profit only. The employee told me the owner was all about profit and kept the facility under staffed and didn't put any money into repairs and grounds maintenance. The other residents I spoke to didn't like it there.

They are not patient nor work with patients that are having a hard time adjusting.

Mom fractured her hip at Grace Manor and passed a week later. Still trying to find out what happened as no one knows, but mom couldn’t move without help. Family never even received a call when it happened.

I will say that I would definitely not recommend Grand Villa to any one. My husband was there one week when he had a seizure and fell on the floor. After four days in the hospital, it was determined that the seizure was caused by Grand Villa employees grinding up his medicine when several were not supposed to be crushed. He returned to Grand Villa where he fell again one week later. They insisted on putting him in a wheelchair even though I told them he did not need to be in a wheelchair. He tripped over the foot rests and broke his back. After 28 days in the hospital, I brought him home. During that time no one called me to ask how he was. During the short time he was actually in their care, they managed to lose a set of new sheets, a washcloth, a new mattress pad, his glasses, and several other things. He was never bathed. The whole experience was a nightmare.

Not safe. Not enough workers. Was promised many things and nothing was carried out. Medical care was not offered. No activities. Residents were over medicated and left to sit at tables. Most of care was substandard with exception of two or three care givers.

I am a victim of a Bait and switch treatment at this place. When I toured, I was given brochures saying we would have meals, housekeeping and activities. On [date removed] a memo was sent out to the current resident saying there was no housekeeping and meals would be one per day. That was never sent to me and when I moved in on [date removed], I signed a contract with the understanding there would be two meals a day and housekeeping. That has proven to be a lie. Do not come here. I will be moving out at the end of April. Please beware.

Under staffed all the time. Food is terrible. Management doesn’t care about the staff or residents. Don’t put your loved one there. I toured the place about 2 months ago and I have a friend whose mother is there. I was there a couple weeks ago and couldn’t find anyone to help my friend’s mom. She was wet and smelled strongly of urine. Her room smelled like a toilet and her carpet was very dirty. They also never answer the phone. My friend and I went to his mom the other day and again she was soiled. When we tried to speak to the ED , she was very rude. She acted like it was our fault. Please don’t put anyone you care about in that facility.

Management has to seriously do something about condition of Mill Creek Senior Living. Area is dirty and smells like urine. Independent living units are infested with roaches and spiders, mold and water damage and administration say nothing can be done. Hired a professional cleaner and pest control service, since administration didn't do services as promised, revealing a severe infestation of over 1000 roaches throughout the house, including eggs in electrical outlets, behind mirrors, and other areas. Items that were advised not to be opened at move-in were infested, leading to the disposal of personal belongings and pantry items. This unacceptable situation has persisted for over a year without resolution, despite numerous assurances and promises. We have also faced a breach of the agreement not to increase rent due to these conditions, as new fees have been added without addressing the residents' needs. Seniors living with can of raid to walk in their units? How fair is this?

Make sure you read current reviews on Chapman Manor. NEW ownership and management are terrible. Most all of their staff ( who were greatwhen it was AMERICAN HOUSE ) have left or were let go. Most times not enough staff to help residents and management always full of excuses. Our recommendation is do not put your love one here .Much more could be said.

Disappointed! Waste of time! Waste of money! She was always dirty when I went to pick her up. I don't want someone to go through what we went thru my mom declined in the four weeks she was there. So sad and heartbreaking. So many false promises

Our 80 year old veteran was a resident at American House. Grace Manor at Morton Lake group purchased American House and took over on [date removed]. Three short days later (on Memorial Day) our 80 year Old veteran fell in their lobby and shattered his hip. He is now bedridden. THREE DAYS! That's it! THREE DAYS under management that is non-existent. If you put a family member here be sure of what you're getting yourself into. This went from a great place for residents to a non monitored, short staffed, non-caring facility. Asked for the video of the fall so the VA could review the side and force in which out Veteran fell and was told by the Director that is the VA wants to see the video "they can get a warrant". What are they hiding from?
