They are under staffed sometimes one med tech for up to 40 people. They take hours to answer the emergency cord. They are so late with the medication that they have to skip to the next dose several times a week . They give baths if you're lucky once a month ( just look at the greasy hair) . When you present greivences to the Administration they give you the run around, so please don't send your loved ones here.

I just did not get a good feel for this place.

our family had an in person tour and we would not put a family member here it was not a good first experience at all. The building itself on the outside was beautiful, but the inside was so old. The rooms we were shown on our tour smelled of mold.

This community felt like a nursing home and didn't feel like an assisted living community. It wasn't the right fit for my loved one.

I would suggest you not place your loved one here. The people that were taking care of my loved one were not doing their job. Their were times that my loved one didn't have the medical supplies that were needed. My family member was yelled at by the staff.

We know staffing is an issues with everyone, but Elmcroft is struggling bad with staff, and the staff that is there is really over worked.

I would look elsewhere if possible. They stated that they were going to get the van going to take people on activities to Walmart and that did not happen. They do not have any activities. The nurses are great to work with, I was not very happy working with the administration.

It did not work out for our loved one at Brookdale Central. One of the nurses here was very ugly to her and she pretty much just sat and watched tv all day in her room, they had no activities provided for the residents to participate in. I would not recommend to others looking.

Current concern about management's lack of willingess to clean up and repair mold damage in apartment with verifiable dangerous mold levels. Building is old and likely mold issues in other parts, including specific other apartments, but not verified at this time. Management so far is denying assessment despite a written report stating the necessity. Buyer beware, particularly for those sensitive to mold.

I would want others to know that the staff does the bare minimum for the most part. She did have a couple people that really loved her, but the pandemic changed things. They were very understaffed and there has been a crazy amount of turnover. The staff to patient ratio is also very small. I have been to town hall meetings and the residents do not like the food and the facility has not been able to keep consistent chef. Another thing is they do not do the laundry very well, they lost a lot of my moms clothes and I would find other peoples clothes in her room. Overall, we did not have a good experience at Grand Villa of Lakeland.

Very under staffed. Nurses are not available most of the time. Getting help from the kitchen to help with patients on the weekend.

Gloomy and sub standard. Room is very small. Resident fell while we were touring, and staff was right there to help him.

The assisted living area is nice however the memory care area is practically inhumane. The staff do the best that they can with limited expertise and resources. Major overhaul needed.

Was in my price range for sure. The large 1 bedroom I was showed and fell in love with it. The draw backs no security - not many activities offered - menu looked very nice - but the times offered would not work for me. [name removed] a very nice tour guide /////////////////////////////// Will not work for me. Price was very good and the large 1 bedroom villa I was showed was lovely. No security - no 24 hr at all. Not comfortable with the location of the property. Meal plan would not work for me.

Outdated They are doing improvements but the studio rooms are very small and the bathrooms are much too small. You can't even fit a rollator walker in there. This is the lowest price of the ones we looked at on the Murrells Inlet area.

This is not a homey place. The residents are all kept in the common area during the day, and their doors are locked. Residents cannot enjoy time in their own rooms during the day. The common area is just one large room with chairs that they sit in. The place seems to have a variety of activities.

We toured this community when looking for my mother and I wouldn't put my mother here. The environment is institutional. They offer skilled nursing and rehabilitation so there are people in casts and wheelchairs and it's very depressing. I also didn't like that they had residents with so many levels of care needs. They stick all the residents in one area and it's not welcoming The size of the rooms are very small, they are like studios and they market them like full sized apartments.

Most staff are friendly and work very hard, especially since they have become more and more overworked due to the continued reducing of staff over the past several months. It is my understanding they are selling to another company. Hopefully things will improve. My parent has lived here for 14 months. We continue to have issues with the weekday nurse ordering medication in a timely manner, dispersing medication correctly to Resident Assistants, etc. Thankfully, my parent does not have life and death issues with medication at this point in time. It is roller coaster ride, and a family member has to always be monitoring and checking up on this aspect of her care along with her oxygen management (yes there were many issues with this, however currently it is going ok). Most activities on the the calendar NEVER happen. It looks great, however even when there has been a director of activities, most don't happen. Meals are fair and the posted menu for the day, often is not what is offered. What you see is not necessarily what you get. Today, residents received a letter stating that medications would no longer be dispersed to them at their apartment. They will need to come to a common area on the first floor beginning Feb. 20, to receive medication. Since residents pay extra for this assistance, and this is not what was agreed to, it goes to show management's lack of care and concern for residents. Many have different forms of dementia, have difficulty getting around, etc. It would seem that this could pose a greater risk for medication errors during disbursement. This is a very poor plan in my judgement. Again, managers seem nice to your face, however there is a lack of true management skills and common sense. Unfortunately for my loved one, there is dementia and the recent changes has been confusing. This new issue will have to be resolved. A few months ago they changed meal time for everyone. Now there is an assigned time to go eat, again because they have reduced the amount of staff. My family member is confused and still goes down at the old time and will just sit and wait for 45 minutes doing nothing, until they take a meal order. Good luck finding the best placement for your loved one. I know that budget and proximity to other family are always a concern. Regardless of where you place your loved one, be their advocate. Drop in often and check on the important items for your loved one.

I did not have a problem with the staff but one thing that I was upset with was that my grandmother was in the front with her robe and hair cap on with zero oxygen and they told me that she kelp pushing the call button that was around her neck. So they just kept her up front. I did addressed that concern but that was it. They way they go about things I did not like. My grandmother said she was treated completely wrong and they talk to her any kind of way. Ashley was the only one she loved that treated her nicely. We moved her to another assistant living and she been there for about 3 week and she loves it there. My grandmother is over 90 years old and she was very upset living there the first week.

My brother toured this community and did not like it. It was not as comfortable and welcoming as we were looking for. The staff was friendly and informative, it was a small community.
