Mainstay Healthcare Management

This is a nice community and my loved one is comfortable here. The food could use improvement in the style and portion sizes. The residents were used to actual meals and now it is a lot of sandwiches for meals. It has been disappointing to the family and residents. I understand this might be due to lack of staff in the kitchen. The staff is pretty good about answering questions and concerns about my loved one. There are time that they don't get back to you and you have to ask your question again.

The facility seems to be well maintained. Because of the condition my mother was in, it worked out very well. She was transitioning back after having a stroke and this was the next step before having her home. While she was here she received occupational and physical therapy and was doing well. She had plenty of space to move around while she was here and had a large living space. The food staff were not very friendly at all and did not seem to be caring. We talked with them about her dietary needs and that fell flat. The everyday staff were friendly and seemed to be attentive.

I think they have been very good with covid protocols and are doing their best to keep residents safe. They have set up a rolling call the last few months where they communicate with families on where things are at within the facility with covid. Overall the experience has been a good one so far on the memory care side and I would recommend Grand Villa of Lakeland to others looking.

This community was okay, nothing special, just like a hotel and the atmosphere did not catch me much.

We've had some problems, but they're starting to get worked out. Initially we experienced that what they say they're going to do in writing doesn't happen until you force the issue. But once I have forced the issue, they've followed through. I feel like that would be with all facilities though. The staff that interacts with my loved one daily I give top ratings. Cleanliness has never been an issue, either in the common areas or in her room. Recently they even had an outside vendor come in and steam clean the rooms, which was great. And the food is excellent. They have a really good selection. And it feels like eating at a top rated restaurant.

Overall, I've been happy once we got to be on the same page. I think the staff are good. Once we started to communicate a little bit better, I've been much happier. I'm not sure if other families are just not as involved in their loved one's day-to-day as we are? I had some concerns at first. but now that we're communicating better, I'm a lot happier.

Our family had an in person tour and we would of put our loved one here but it just came down to money.

Our tour at American House Lutz was fine. The people seemed very kind. Cleanliness was not as great as the palace we chose, and the location was not as convenient for our family.

The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The place is kept clean.

Great employees - great concern about the constant elevator breakdowns!!! Not enough insulation in building, showers slant outward! Great cleaning staff, wonderful cook! Staff needs more help!

There are so many activities available for any residents who are able to join in them. All of the employees from the director on down are totally ready and willing to help us in anyway possible.

New persons moving in all the time. New caregivers need to be increased also as many persons in wheelchairs and on walkers require extra attention. I see caregivers doubling up in other areas such as servers in dining room. Elevators - important to be used properly and immediately when disabled. I do appreciate living here and help where I can but would like to know what I c an be allowed to do. Meals are efficient.

Ok food, activities are good, price is ok a bit high

There are minimal activities for the residents to do at Grace Manor. The information that was given to us during our tour, is not what they are doing. There is rate increase that is against their contract. There is mediocre supervision here. The care is fine and I would rate the caregivers higher than the administrative staff. There has been a high turnover of staff members.

My loved one needs to be on a diabetic diet and that is just not something that they cater to here.

We have lived here for 6 weeks now. This place is very clean including the cleaning of your apartment. The food is fair to good according to your likes and dislikes. My problem is I did not understand that most people that live here have some form dementia. Some worse than others. I moved here to have help with my husband. He is adjusting well I am still working on it.

Responsive to visitors & residents a like. Staff very accommodating.

Management is a little stiff when it comes to making any kind of changes. Other than that, I don't have any other complaints at this time. There are good people here. The community has really good neighbors. The management is friendly. It's just that residents have a tough time making changes through management. The food is pretty good, surprisingly better than I expected. My apartment is small, but I think I just brought too much stuff with me. The finishes could be better, but all in all it's decent - well painted, well trimmed, with a decent amount of accessories.

We chose American House Lutz because they had a memory care unit for my mom and some others we looked into did not offer that. They do have private and shared rooms. The staff were very informative, friendly, and made it an easy decision for us. I would recommend to others looking.

We chose Sunabella because they were accommodating and really bent over backwards for us. The common areas are very clean, but I do think that the residents rooms themselves could be cleaned more. From what I have heard, it sounds like they could improve on the quality of the foods and variety. The administrative staff is extremely easy to work with and have been very helpful. I can always contact [name removed] and she responds back quickly. Overall I would recommend to others who are looking.
